A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.
Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.
It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.
Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.

This Fulton Trailer Jack was a perfect replacement match to my Supra (Boat Mate) trailer. The etrailer website fully detailed the jack description's, it made it very easy to select the correct one.

This is an excellent jack the only problem I had is finding it, these are put on Lund boat trailers and the mount is welded on to the trailer. Fulton changed the name of the jack from a magnum series to fxp15w

It is working great.
Fit perfectly as a replacement for the original jack. Easy to install only had to take off the large retaining nut. Wheel is much larger than the old one which makes it perfect moving around a little when needed. Very happy with this purchase.

Still looks like new. Works great have no issues with it at all.
Jack fit the welded base fine. Just a minor adjustment to the hole size and alignment was required. Item was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. The new jack has a grease fitting however no instructions were provided on how much grease to use or how often it would require grease.

According to my contacts at Fulton the FXP15W should be greased once a year. The grease fitting serves the gears for the handle of this jack only. This information can be found in the maintenance section of the instructions.
A great replacement for my old Fulton Magnum 1500 jack. Bolted right on my welded plate, operates smoothly, and gives me more vertical lift to clear the hitch ball. I bought from etrailer because they published good information about what I should buy to replace the old jack.
Arrived very quickly. The people there are a joy to deal with. The jack worked as advertised, change out was very simple. I forgot how easy it should be to jack up your trailer. Happy camper.

Still works as it should
Easy install, and works great. This jack was a direct replacement for the one that was factory installed on my boat trailer and I should have replaced it years ago. The original jack had become difficult to crank due to rust on the jack screw and finally it stripped out to the point that it would no longer lift the tongue off the ball of the truck hitch. Literally a 10 minute replacement and now everything moves smoothly on and off the hitch. Well worth the investment in my case.
Your web site was easy to navigate, the product I needed was right in front of me. It was delivered when I expected it, it was exactly what I ordered. It fit to perfection and I am very very happy! I will order from you in the future for sure!
Appears to be well-constructed. Entire change out with the existing jack was about 5 minutes. I really like the larger wheel and ease of cranking. We'll see how it performs after a few trips to the bay...
Although sending a brand new product, I'm still amazed at ETrailer and their wonderful attitude. A great replacement for my Fulton Magnum trailer jack. Has a grease zerk for the gears and a beefier wheel. One nut to remove and replace the jack using my existing bracket.

I wasn't certain if this was the jack I needed. I spoke to a customer service rep from etrailer and they assured me it was. It arrived quickly, attached quickly, works perfectly.
The part arrived today so it hasn’t been installed yet. As far as I can tell it looks like what I ordered. The ordering process had an issue which meant that I had to get involved. Other than that all’s good
Jack installed and worked better than I remember the original. This order was shipped the same day I ordered (which was after 5 pm), and arrived in 2 days so the boat was ready for Memorial Day. Londyn provided excellent customer service, and I will use and recommend e trailer.
My old part was worn out and felt a new versus rebuilt was the way to go. This bolted on in a few minutes and worked perfectly on my boat trailer. Much easier and not that much more expensive than rebuilding the old one. Has been in service for a year and a half with it operating flawlessly when used.
