I just received my new winch. Free shipping and I am surprised how quickly it arrived and how easy it was to install!! This is the third time I have ordered from them, and they have just about everything one can need for their trailer, and they provide great service and technical information. This winch has no exposed springs and the lock mechanism is greatly improved and looks great!

Works great!!

I just installed the new bow roller and boat winch and am very pleased. The new Fulton F2 and C.E. Smith roller assembly went on easier than the old parts came off. I’m also very happy with the very clean look, they really dress up my Nitro bass boat better than the original parts. I am already making plans for more upgrades after seeing the results today. Thank you etrailer for your great service and great communication.

by:

Great product, replaced Fulton XLT with F2 Single speed. Removing older one took more time than putting together and installing new one.

by:

Shipping said 1 week, item was delivered in 2 days. Awesome experience. Thank you!

by:

Upgraded my winch on my boat trailer, went with a heavier one than the one that came with trailer. Absolutely one of the best winches I’ve used. I ordered the winch late on a Saturday night and received it four days later on Wednesday, fantastic service, I’ll be glad to use etrailer again .

by:

Fast shipping! Great product! If I need anything in the future, I'll definitely use etrailer.com

by:

This Fulton F2 winch is an excellent item. It easily handles my Ranger 1882 VS. Easy to install and it looks great! Outstanding service from e-Trailer too. I've used them for years without problems. Highly recommended.

The Fulton F2 winch still looking good and working great after 1 year. Highly recommend it.

by:

So far I like it. It was easy to install. And it nice and sturdy. I haven't taken my boat out in used it. But I will.

by:

Replaced my truck original Fulton on my Ranger Trailer. Upgraded to the F2. Awesome winch. No regrets in buying this.

by:

I will not install the products on my trailer
for a few weeks and due to restoration of
my boat it will be a few months before I use
the Items. Everything looks as I expected and
and hope I am satisfied with how they
function. My main concern was the packing
and shipping of the Items. Before opening
the box, I didn’t know if any of the Items would
be damaged or not. The outside of the
box was mashed in at a couple of places,
the jack handle was bursted through the box
and the end was sticking out. After, opening
the box, the winch box was mashed in. I
didn’t see any damage to anything.

by:

Great winch, Installed it in just a couple minutes. Super easy with the large handle, cranks the boat up on the trailer like butter!

by:

This is my second order from etrailer. Both were filled quickly and arrived as expected. In both cases the etrailer replacement model recommendation and video were invaluable. The new wench was easy to install despite minimal manufacturer installation instructions.

This winch works perfectly. Solid product

by:

Excellent Product. I've owned a Fulton Winch for my boat trailer for years, its never let me down. I decided to replace it only because I'm refurbishing my boat trailer.

by:

Used the new winch today. Wow so much easier to use and pull a 19 foot bass boat up tight against the bow stop. Dual cams are the best! This was the best price from etrailer and delivered fast. Love this winch!

by:

Winch stripped out on my 20' Skeeter. Replaced it with this FW2. Easy to install and is a solid upgrade from the one that came with the trailer. Ordered on a Saturday evening and was delivered Wednesday afternoon. Have ordered from etrailer before and as usual, this was a great transaction.

by:

Perfect upgrade for anyone needed a new winch for an old trailer or if you just need more power to yank your flat bottom up off a steep river bank!

by:

Etrailer had a great price, quick and accurate shipping. They carry high end and less expensive products to give you a wide spectrum of choices

by:

Got the strap and hook today that was missing from initial shipment. Great customer service got a new one here quickly. Successfully installed. Nice service, nice winch.

by:

I received my order today and have installed my new winch. I like all of the features of this product. Sometimes buying online does not give us the confidence that seeing in person before buying can do. I was very satisfied with this product. When you do a lot of towing of various pieces of equipment like I do it is great to know that I can get what I need to keep it all rolling. Etrailer always has what I need and gets it to me quick.

by:

Every order I have made has literally been as easy and simple as it possibly could be. I will not be buying trailer parts from anywhere else. That's a fact.

by:

Just installed. Seems to be a great quality product. Much better than stamped cheap winches. Supplier etrailer did a great job and got this to me the next day so I could go fishing. Great Job!

by:

This winch is simply outstanding- well designed, geared perfectly. Well worth the extra money. Use it on a 21' Four Winns deckboat.

by:

This thing is pretty big , so be sure you have the room for it. That being said, it's a pretty solid product. Should work well for our sailboat trailer.

  • Recommended Marine Hand Winch For 3000-Lb Boat
I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains how to choose the correct winch for a boat trailer. Here is what the article says: Finding the Right Capacity Winch for your Boat Trailer. Boat-size-to-winch capacity is generally 2 to 1 With good rollers and short winching distances, increase the ratio to 3 to 1 With wooden bunks and long winching distances, reduce the ratio to 1 to 1 For example, a 2,200-lb boat generally requires a 1,100-lb winch. If the same boat were winched...

  • Winch Recommendation for a Boat Trailer that had a 2,000 lb Winch Installed
Roller bunks actually will make winching easier than carpeted bunks, so if a 2,000 lb capacity winch was used before it would work even easier with your roller bunks. That being said the Fulton XLT Winch part # F142425 would be a great choice that would have more than enough capacity. If you wanted to go with a 2,000 lb winch that is similar you would want the Fulton F2 Winch part # FW20000301. Either winch would work great. I attached review videos for both winches plus an FAQ article...

  • Recommended Replacement for Fulton XLT1401 Trailer Winch
In order to replace the Fulton XLT1401 Trailer Winch I recommend using the Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch part # FW20000301 which will actually be an upgrade for you. The added weight capacity is going to put less stress on the winch which in turn improves longevity. This winch also has an adjustable length handle for ergonomics, fully enclosed shell for durability, and an easy to use pawl. I have attached a review video for you as well.

  • How To Replace a Knot Autoflex Winch and Bow Roller Assembly On a Boat Trailer
I do have a solution for you but we don't offer any integrated winch and bow roller setups like the Knot Autoflex. Therefore, you'd have to purchase a winch stand assembly like the CE Smith Winch Stand part # CE31013G which bolts onto the tongue and allows you to mount a winch like the Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch part # FW20000301 and bow roller like the Bow Roller Assembly part # YR300B-325B when using the CE Smith Bow Roller Bracket for Winch Stands part # CE31005PG. • Trailer Jack and Winch for 3,000 Pounds or Less Boat Trailer
Since a jack doesn't need to hold the weight of the entire trailer it's pretty easy to get one rated for more than what you need. the 1,500 pound bolt-on swivel jack # MJ-1500B-DWL or 2,000 pound weld-on # TJP-2002S-B will be enough and are both great options. It's the same for a winch as well. The winch doesn't need to support the entire weight of the boat but needs to be strong though to pull it along your rollers. • Trailer Hand Winch Needed with Shortest Handle
The 7 inch handle on the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch with TUFFPLATE Finish # DL14125 is pretty much the standard size as most winches have a 7 inch handle. We do have a smaller handle with the Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch with Adjustable Handle # FW20000301 but it can only be adjusted down to 6 inches. If the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch is the type of winch that you are looking for then I recommend going that direction if you will be using cable. It can hold 5/32 inch diameter cable...

  • Freespooling, Controlled Load 2,000 Pound Hand Trailer Winch Recommendation
I spoke with my contact at Fulton about the F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch with Adjustable Handle, # FW20000301. He stated that there is no minimum load required for the winch to operate. You can use it for controlled loads/unloads, but this winch is designed as a pulling winch, not for lifting, and is not meant to suspend loads. In its freespooling mode, the handle will still spin as the line is being pulled out. You might want to consider an electric winch like the Superwinch LT2000...

  • Recommended Replacement Winch for Fulton XLT1401
To replace your old Fulton XLT1401 Trailer Winch I recommend using the Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch part # FW20000301. This winch has a bit higher weight capacity than the XLT1401, so it's going to put less stress on the winch and make it last longer; at the end of the day, it's actually a bit of an upgrade. Sounds like you have a great plan in place to freshen up your 2008 Mastercraft boat trailer. The Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch, # FW20000301, that you mentioned is a great option and receives very favorable customer reviews. As for the jack, as long as your existing Fulton jack pivots on a single bolt, you could use the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack, # FXP15W, as a replacement. • Can the Fulton F2 2K Trailer Winch Handle a 1,800 Pound Boat
The gear ratio for Fulton F2 winch # FW20000301 is 5.1:1. The capacity of the winch at 2,000 pounds is enough to pull the 1,800 pound boat even in the worst conditions (those being a long winching distance, steep incline, wooden bunk are all of the above). If you have roller bunks the ratio for winch capacity could increase to 2 to 1 or even 3 to 1 in some cases. That would mean that in certain conditions the winch can handle a boat up to 6,000 pounds.
