by:

I would give five stars but due to what looks like packaging problems the hitch came very marred and the coating chipping off.

by:

Good and strong but not a great angle/height for my application so had to go to a straight line fit.

To choose a ball mount with the correct rise and , you will first need to take two measurements. Measurement A will be the distance from the top of the hitch receiver opening to the ground, making sure that the ground is level. Measurement B will also need to be on level ground and it will be from the bottom of the trailer coupler to the ground. Then take the difference between the two. If your hitch height is greater, use a ball mount with a closest to the difference that was measured. If your coupler height is greater, use a ball mount with a rise closest to the difference that was measured. The goal is to make it as level as possible.

I had to change from a hitch to a straight hitch due to the height of the receiver. That lined up perfectly without shimming or adjustments. Good tight fit and I added the bar to receiver clamp to eliminate rattle and movement. Great set up and works great and even looks good.

by:

Perfect fit for my small boat trailer.

by:

I was very suspicious how will it fit and suit Dodge Challenger. But when I received trailer hitch, and by they way it travelled across the planet to reach me, I was totally impressed with the quality, ease of installation and accessories which I ordered with it. I basically installed it myself with a help of a friend, it took about 30 minutes to fix it. It really saved me as I needed the trailer to transport my bike to the race track and I didn't want to change the car.
So the conclusion, I own it for more than a year and have zero issues or complaints about the hitch or accessories. I used to travel long and short distances and in average I use it every second week. You barely can notice it when you remove drawbar so it is very good solution.

by:

Works exactly as expected.

by:

Product comes basically unusable due to a lazy omission of the pin needed to connect the hitch receiver and tongue. This part must be purchased separately from an outside source if the absence is not realized in time, rendering the entire experience troublesome and inconvenient. Customer service is defensive and unable to convey empathy or remorse for customer dissatisfaction. Would strongly discourage future customers from considering this company.

The pin and clip is sold separately as part F-4, as stated in the product description.

by:

Easy installation. Helps to have two people, however, I installed it alone with the help of jack stands. I highly recommend the Curt receiver. I have another Curt receiver on my 2011 Honda Accord that I also purchased from etrailer.com.

I just finished hauling a load of bush and tree trimmings to the dump with my utility trailer. Attached is a close up photo of the receiver in use.

by:

I bought this riser to level out my trailer to get rid of some trailer sway issues i was having. However it fit so loose that even with nothing on the trailer it was all over the place and scary. My trailer did not do this before at all. I got some composite shims and jamed them in there on 3 sides. Then managed to find a way to keep them in place...it worked but was a lot of cussing and swearing to finally get it to work....but since then its been good...product is 2 star...added a star for shipping time.

by:

Everything was great and it was a quick delivery. Unfortunately. I was expecting a hitch pin but it was not included.

Some drawbars do include a pin and clip, but Curt does not include the pin and clip with this drawbar. This allows you to choose a standard hitch pin like # F-4 or a locking hitch pin like # e98879 to use with your setup.

Got my two orders, a trailer hitch, draw bar, pin and ball, didn't order all the 1st time. It was easy to find everything I needed on the site. The videos that showed how to install the hitch and wiring on my particular vehicle were to the point and easy to follow. at least one tip the guy gave, was to get yourself some extra zip ties, which I did and found it to be a great tip, (don't remember if he mentioned length, but I got some 8 or 10" and at a couple points it made it easier, It may have something to do with my age). Without the videos, I most likely wouldn't have tried to install any of it myself, it took me about 6 hours or so with breaks here and there but I am very satisfied. would add pictures but not at all tech savvy, have everything I need, just can't get them on there. Thanks all at etrailer for making something I put off for a long time, easy. Thanks again! R.R.

by:

The hitch and associated pieces worked exactly as promised, really appreciated the wiring harness directions, they were spot on for my car, especially liked the video's

by:

The hitch, ball mount pin, clip and wiring kit were all perfect for my vechicle and good quality products. The free shipment was very fast. The phone conversation was courteous and helpfu. I am very satisfied with the entire process.
Big thanks to e-trailer!

by:

My second Curt hitch. I like the appearance of the round tubular hitch. Service reliable and delivery quick. The only shortfall on the instructions was that it was not clear which holes in the frame got the bolts that were fished in, and of course I got it wrong the first time. I had to remove both bolts to reinstall in holes farther forward. Otherwise, fine product and instructions.

by:

I ordered this ball mount with the recommendation based on vehicle application. I found it to be an accurate fit with just the right amount of rise to level my trailer. After a year of winter salt spray the finish still looks great!

by:

I bought a Curt trailer hitch for my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, with Stow and Go seating. I spoke with Kevin from etrailer.com who was very helpful and confirmed the part numbers for the hitch, wiring harness, and drawbar, and took my order. They arrived at my house on the next day.

The parts arrived in two boxes - one large box for the hitch, the other smaller box for the wiring harness and drawbar. The parts were all there, and correct, with installation instructions included. I spent about an hour installing the hitch itself, including jacking up the rear of the van to gain access to the underside, installing the hitch, and letting the car down. The instructions were spot-on. The wiring took less than an hour. I cleaned up and waxed the area behind the tailights, and routed the wiring carefully. The wiring was a perfect fit. Again, the instructions helped considerably.

The free shipping was a selling factor, plus their lowest price pledge saved me a little over $30.00. I am glad I decided to purchase the hitch and accessories from etrailer.com.

by:

excellent products, hitch installed in about a half hour and fit perfect. Installed your wiring kit and drawbar and towed my trailer that day.

Great! still works just as it suppose to!

by:

I have ordered from eTrailer before and have been very pleased with their products and service. This order was no different. The item arrived in a timely matter; was packaged nicely and exactly as described on their website. The product fits perfectly and looks great! I haven't pulled anything yet with the ball mount however I do not anticipate any trouble from it. eTrailers parts are always of good quality.

by:

Worked with Carmel, she made ordering my hitch and accy's easy and quick.

Speaking of quick she told me that she would place the order and that it should go out within 4 working days. I received my complete order within 3 days. Now that was fast.

If you need a hitch get it from etrailer, one stop shopping!

by:

The video on etrailer was extremely helpful in deciding width and length of the draw bar I needed. Turns out to be perfect. I ordered after 7pm and received notice that the item shipped within 3 hours, so needless to say the care, attention, fast shipping and reasonable prices makes etrailer second to none.

by:

I purchased this Curt drawbar to go with my Curt trailer hitch receiver. This is very well made and fits perfect. Also, etrailer is a great company to deal with. This was my first order, won't be my last. Thank you.

We do have light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class I hitches for the 2017 Volkswagen Jetta 4-door sedan that are shown on the linked page. Both share the same towing capacity of 2000-lbs. Since there are four different versions of the 2017 VW Jetta (the S, SE, SEL and GLI) to confirm your model's towing capacity you need to check your printed manual. Currently VW's website does not have online manual access due to them redesigning their application. I suggest the Curt Class I hitch # C11474 over the...

Yes. The Curt # C11527 is also a fit for the AWD versions of the 2016 Buick Encore. You've made a good choice with the Curt hitch, since their powder coating tends to be a little bit more durable than the other available hitches for your Encore so it will hold up to some of the nicks in the coating that can occur on these hitches. That's ultimately going to help limit corrosion and make sure that your hitch lasts for as long as it's on your vehicle. If you're going to be towing with your...
