Items packed well delivered on time. Doesn't get much better that that.

The service is great and so is the price. Box came damaged but if it installs as easy as the last one I bought from etrailer I will be very happy!

by:

I hooked up the draw bar today for the first time to the trailer that I built and the hitch I installed. The draw bar uses a cotter pin that slides on the bolt rather than going through a hole to mount the bar to the hitch. I have never used a sliding on pin in anything - I've only used those that go through a small hole matching the pin. This includes my farm tractor and other tools. I hope it is secure because it does slide on easily. The bar itself appears nice and strong.

I am still happy with the items. However, I have not used them much over the past few months. But, they will get much more use in a couple of weeks. I am putting the finishing touches on a camper that I have been building for half a year.thanks,

I received exactly what I ordered when I expected it and the pricing was super competitive. The drawbar fits my Gator perfect. Great online shopping experience. I Highly recommend Etrailer.com.

One year later this product has done the job without fail. Still very satisfied.

We used our car hitch and cargo carrier last summer in a Honda Accord to support a cargo carrier. It held up great on a 4,000 mile camping/hiking trip from Mid Missouri to Glacier National Park, MT. We were able to use the carrier/hitch to carry our large tents and baggage (approx 120#)directly behind our car trunk. Initially I was a little hesitant at the smaller 1-1/4" tube hitch, but it was very stable throughout the long trip. Sure was a lot less drag than putting all our gear on a roof cargo carrier.

by:

This is an average product. Unfortunately it si too short to use on my 2018 Rogue with Draw-Tite hitch 36542. I will have purchase a longer ball mount such as Curt 45519.

Another drawbar option, and the one recommended for this hitch in the installation instructions, is # 36053. I have linked it here for your convenience.

This is the 2nd hitch package I've bought from etrailer.com. (The first was for a 2011 Outback, and this one was for a 2017 Outback.) And like the first, this order was handled perfectly by the etrailer rep. The hitch and drawbar arrived as promised and I had my mechanic install it yesterday. He said it was a fairly simple job (took him less than an hour) and the new wiring harness simply plugged in to the existing harness in the 2017 Outback (as opposed to having to be spliced in the 2011 Outback with the first hitch package). Also the price was very good... more competitive than buying it from, and having it installed by, a local dealer. All in all, it was a painless and pleasant experience. I will definitely buy my next hitch from etrailer when it's time to replace my 2017 Outback.

by:

Unit has worked well and held up. I only removed it once and that was for a week to travel for vacation. The paint is still like new, no rust can be seen. Unit creates no noise while driving with or without a trailer attached, not like a former hitch I had.

The Convert-A-Ball is made in USA, appears to be high quality and just what I was looking for. The Draw Bar however was made in China

The Convert-A-Ball appears to be high quality, made in USA and just what I was looking for.
I needed a Draw-Bar to fit 1 1/4" receiver and with 1" shank hole, but nearest I could find was this Draw-Bar with 3/4" hole, so will have to drill out this one. Also was made in China, which I try to avoid although the quality appears to be good.
Wish I had known that the Draw-Bar came with its own Pin & Clip so I wouldn't have ordered that separately, so now I have 2. This why I gave only 4 stars.
Otherwise am happy with the order.

by:

Received my drawtite hitch, draw bar and wiring harness quickly. The draw bar pin was missing, but received excellence service from your customer service department (Sherry). Looks great and can't wait to pick up my trailer and go camping.

by:

Just what I needed for my Honda.

by:

I installed this on a 2013 Outback in about an hour and a half. After drilling the holes and spraying the undercoating everything went together without a problem. Wiring harness was just as easy. Nice video to help.

by:

Volkswagen ID.4 needs a drawbar no longer than 7" - could not find one local or on [online vendor], but etrailer got me covered. Shipping was fast.

by:

Fits well with the Drawtite class 2 hitch and places tongue for my 1/2 utility trailer level.

by:

I like my Draw-Tite hitch and the second ball mount I just purchased so I can switch between 1 7/8" and 2" balls easily. Purchase and delivery through etrailer was effortless. I'm a happy customer.

by:

Product is fine. It would have been nice to know that it came with a hitch pin and clip so that I didn't need to order one in addition to the ball mount.

by:

Easy website to navigate. Found the hitch for our bike rack quickly, and the ordering process was simple. Received my items expediciously too. Will be back for more when needed. Very competitive pricing, too.

by:

All parts fit as required. Only problem was the instruction for the hitch was for a different auto. It was simple enough to install with the install video. Good product.

by:

I also purchased a receiver hitch for a Subaru Outback. Everything arrived in good shape and promptly at a good price.

by:

got my hitch today everything was in the box. I liked the web site it was easy to use . the installation videos are very helpful ,and it was easy to find the hitch for my car . Thanks Great Job. Mike H

by:

Everything fit perfectly on my 2000 Subaru Forester and is still working a year after installation. I use the trailer every week.

by:

It looks tiny compared to other hitches, but is solid metal. The welds are fine and fits like it should. A necessary item for the trailer hitch.

by:

All of the items order where shipped correctly and the Installation of products where excellent. The how to video’s where very helpful. I would highly recommend etrailer. Installation took me two hours to complete in my driveway.

by:

The staff was very helpful. I received a call from etrailer because one of the staff saw a mistake that I had made on my order and helped me correct it before the order was filled. I will recommend this company to anyone,

by:

They are very good trailer products I like them and they’ve served me very well. I would be a repeat customer and recommend etrailer to my friends.

  • Hardware Included With Draw-Tite 36501 Class II Trailer Hitch
The shipping weight of the Draw-Tite # 36501 Class II hitch is 28 lbs which would be about 25 lbs minus the shipping packaging. Purchase of the hitch includes all necessary installation hardware. The hitch uses four 1/2-13 x 1.75 grade 8 carriage bolts and four grade 8 1/2-13 hex nuts. You'll also need four .250 x 1.00 x 3.00 inch square hole spacers and four 1/2 inch conical toothed washers. The conical toothed washers and spacers are specialty hardware that you're unlikely to find locally. You...

  • Recommendation for a Trailer Hitch and Method to Carry Mobility Scooter on a 2007 Subaru Forester
To answer the last question first, the only trailer hitches available for a 2007 Subaru Forester are Class II hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers. An adapter would reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent which would make it 150 pounds on the 36311 hitch. An option other than a hitch mounted carrier is to tow a small trailer behind the car like # K2MMT5X7. This will allow you to carry the mobility power chair without putting all of the chair's weight on the trailer...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2006 Subaru Forester
For the money you can't beat the Draw Tite hitch part # 36311 which is a confirmed fit for your 2006 Subaru Forester. It's better priced than the Curt and wouldn't ever require you to use a stabilizer strap like the Curt does with bike racks or cargo carriers. I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well. For trailer wiring you would want the part # 118461. For a ball mount you would want the part # 36051. For a 2 inch ball # 19258 or for 1-7/8 inch part # 19256.

I'd recommend the Curt Class III, part # 13591, the Curt ball mount part # C45030 and for a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball you can use # 19260 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball. I took a look at the owner's manual for your 2002 Toyota Avalon and this vehicle has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs. So while you could use the Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36293 you would need to tow your dirt bike on a trailer because your bike's 350 lb weight combined with a bike carrier would be more than double the tongue weight capacity of your Avalon.
