for loads on my 2005 Prius.
Bought the recommended support strap and liked the way it took the up-down bounce stress off the hitch, but the carrier still wobbled left to right, rotating slightly within the hitch receiver. Bought a second strap and the two stabilized the load very nicely. I needed a light cord between the two straps at the top of the hatch door to encourage them not to slide off the corners of the door.
I love how this fits in the top of the hatch. Store my cargo carrier from rattling when either loaded or empty. Bought 2 because we transfer the carrier to another vehicle sometimes.
This strap is easy to use and I appreciate the peace of mind I have while driving knowing there is extra support of my hitch mounted bike rack. The Velcro fastener makes it easy to bundle the strap’s “tail” so it doesn’t drag while driving.
Can hold my five bikes easily
They are hybrid trail bikes.
Have to check weight limit for 5th bike.
I bought two stabilizer straps just for piece of mind. They certainly won't hurt
Purchased this strap as a backup support for the bike rack that I will be using with my new etrailer hitch.
I've been using the hitch for my bike rack and it has been performing as expected. Absolutely no problems. A little harder to install than expected, but with a little help from friends it is still where it belongs.
Outstanding product. The stitching and material are heavy duty. Looks great on my Honda Accord and Thule bike rack. Thanks!

The strap helped to stabilize the bike rack .. Strong & sturdy .. If you get the bike rack & hitch spend the extra for this ... Worked great on my 2013 vw beetle convertible ..

It still works perfect .. very happy
simple and effective. Works as advertised. Actually one of the better stabilization straps on the market. the buckle is strong and has a durable non marking coating. I'd recommend buying 3 at a time (two to stabilize to an overkill level, and one backup because you know how life is)

Product works great just like day 1. I look forward to many years of use when maintained properly.
We were very impressed with the quality of the Curt Trailer hitch we purchased, its price and how quickly it arrived.
We had the hitch installed by a very good local mechanic for a fraction of the cost quoted by our Honda dealer.
The hitch support strap that was recommended works perfectly with this hitch.
We highly recommend this hitch to anyone.
Install was very easy, instructions were clear.
Be sure to use WD-40 to loosen up the muffler attachments. That one step alone made this job easier than I expected.
This hitch is used to attach a goal post, so I can carry my kayaks on top.
Great customer service, the best.
Just finished about a 300 mile round-trip and the strap definitely helps stabilize the hitch-mounted bike rack. The only issue was that the angle of the clip was too much for the hatch on my Golf GTI so I had to bend it a little to get it to fit.

Bending the clips will cause the straps to potentially lose their capacity.
Box to hitch 1 minute.
2 ebikes and ready to roll 10 minutes.
A whole new world has opened up. This is absolutely the easiest, most versatile rack ever. At 65, my days of putting a light bike on a roof rack are over. This will handle almost anything.
The service and attention to detail was amazing. The eTrailer team seems like friends at the local bike shop. BUY IT HERE!

Was an easy install, Matched right up
We received a damaged box, damaged items, no instructions, the nuts and bolts are completely stripped and not inside a bag. This was obviously used, returned, not checked for quality and sent out. We are extremely upset.

Oh my goodness! I will have our Customer Service team reach out as soon as possible. We can have replacements sent out.
Quality of the hitch is excellent. Bolts in rear could use 4 sleeves. More difficult to instal due to alignment of bumper and the cover which had to be removed before holes could be drilled. Lift was very helpful. Took about 3.5 hrs. to install correctly.
I've used etrailer.com before, and the service is excellent. The step-by-step video showing the receiver installation on my model year car was extremely helpful.

FAST EASY VERY SATISFIED
All the products we received were of excellent quality. We have used the basket carrier a lot. All components are standing up to everyday use, weather we carry water jugs or bottles of propane the carrier and hitch show no problems.
Haven’t used it yet but I am sure it will do the job. Seems well built/designed and with e bikes weighing so much, the additional weight distribution will certainly help.
Works well and bikes feel very stable on rack.

I am quite pleased with our flat carrier. We keep the loads low enough & centered enough to not block the brake lights and the license plate. Weve used it to carry bikes as well.
