This is the correct towbar for a Toyota Prius C. The towbars that are available from U-haul (3 1/8") and other hardware stores are too low to the ground for most trailers. I tow my Harley Dyna on a motorcycle trailer behind my Prius C with no problem. Save yourself the grief. I bought three readibly available tow bars until I found the right one. The 5" rise, 10" long works perfectly. This is an incredibly strong drawbar.

by:

Worked perfectly Did have to grind off the paint and a nit of metal to fit in the reciever though.

No issues

I've got a lowered 1995 VW Jetta with a 1.25" receiver. I had to use a 6" extension along with a long, straight drawbar so any steep incline had me going at an angle and even then I would sometimes scrape. Some one had this drawbar on their Jetta and it looked good. With the measurements provided on this site I determined it would sit far enough away from my bumper and elevate the ball so my trailer wouldn't be angled down so much. Very glad I ordered this unit, it fits the car and works perfectly! Much better than my previous fix.

Okay, a year later and not a single complaint regarding this ball mount. It dutifully does its job to allow me the crazy looks people throw at me when hauling my motorcycle or my wifes latest furniture purchase. I dont know why Americans think trucks are the only vehicle to haul things.

by:

Tha drawBar is well made and fits perfectly on my 2005 Honda civic. It also clears the rear bumper so there is no rubbing damage to vehicle paint. I added a 2inch ball and the height is approximately 20 inch which is great for towing small trailers. If you have a 2001-2005 Honda civic this is the drawBar for you.

Had to replace hitch & draw bar on my 2011 Camaro. This was exactly what I needed, delivery was fast & the price was good

This was a replacement draw bar. It works like the original. It was shipped fast, price was good, & works perfectly. Thanks again, good job!

As you can see your product was 100% perfect for getting my one legged friend and former Marine back to enjoying the open road. He's allowed to easily load his wheelchair by himself and with the added strength and length it gives him great stability and ease.
Thanks again definitely recommend etrailer to all I run into, the price also greatly appreciated.

See above.

Nice Paint Job, Ball was ez to install, Come with Pin, Nice.

by:

I have a 2016 300c awd. This riser bar was the perfect height to keep my boat trailer level with the ground.

by:

Alex was extremely helpful and got exactly what was needed for the older model Volvo , I purchased 4 pieces and it fit perfectly. Have used it repeatedly and not had any issues

by:

The hitch was easy to install, and etrailer easily added the drawbar, ball, and wiring that I needed. Overall this was a fast, inexpensive solution.

Thank you for following up. Other than a few bumps getting out of driveways, the hitch has been satisfactory. The Aura has such a low-riding bumper!*

by:

I really like dealing with the people. They have helped me find the right stuff, made it easy on me.

by:

This hitch has been great to use with my VW Golf. It had accurate measurements on the description. When it came it fit with my car and trailer exactly how I thought it was going to. It is also solid metal and much more durable than what a little car needs. This hitch is definitely not the weak link in my car/trailer setup. It is a hitch I’d recommend to my friends in a similar situation. If you have a small car, this is a great hitch.

by:

There is, what seems to be an excessive amount of play between this drawbar and my hitch resulting in a lot of rattling. I will investigate using shims of some kind to alleviate the matter.

Regis

1/24/2017

Using still shims has helped, not ideal but no other solution short of welding.

by:

The drawbar works great! It allowed us to pull our inflatable boat trailer at the correct height and distance from our Camry. Would recommend to a friend!

Gail

4/30/2022

We towed the inflatable using the tow bar over 3000 miles with no issues. Great product!

by:

I've used this multiple times now along with the trailer hitch from etrailer that my friend and I installed ourselves. It works great even after a year. I would highly recommend an additional purchase of a locking pin that can be used with your car ignition key to keep your cargo safe.

by:

Fast service, looks great.

by:

Ordered the hitch, wiring harness and drawbar for my 2011 Malibu. E-trailer was very good over all in the transaction, they communicated well, got the order out very quick and upgraded my shipping so I got the parts faster and the directions and video clips on their site were great and I had everything installed in just over 2 hours by myself - although a second person would have helped. the bolt wires they included with the hitch made getting the bolts through the frame so easy :) Have already used the hitch with a trailer and it worked great. I would definitely use them again!

by:

Delivery was delayed from the manufacturer. Further delay was encountered when shipment was mis directed to Sheboygan.
When it finally arrived there was a hole in the box and the receiver was poking out.

Lucky the paint wasn't damaged.

The part is what I ordered.

by:

This doesn't quite fit my hitch. When the drawbar is inserted fully, the hole for the hitchpin is about 1/4" too far out, and can't be inserted. I'll have to cut the drawbar down a bit to get everything to fit properly. This is surprising to me because I have another drawbar by the same manufacturer, but with less rise, and it fits perfectly.

Also, a ball with a medium shank is *not* necessary. A short shank should fit just fine. You can see how much extra shank there is in the picture.

I bought for my 2020 Toyota Camry which sits low to the ground and needs at least 5" rise. The Drawbar hitch ball mount arrived as described and high quality as expected. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommend if you have a car and need a 5" rise for your trailer coupler. I am extremely confident and happy customer.

by:

Exactly as advertised. No problems. I used it on a Toyota Sienna, which has a very low hitch receiver. I'm pulling a small utility trailer.

by:

Great item works great

by:

Very good product at a good price. The only negative (for me anyway) is the length of the bar - it sticks out much farther than it needs to and puts more stress on the hitch frame than necessary. I end up cutting off almost 4" and redrilling the hole for the pin. For a low load on the tongue probably not an issue, but I prefer the shorter bar. Still a great deal. ( btw, talking about the 1-1/4" sq.bar not where the ball mounts)

by:

Solid steel, really nicely made. Delivery was swift as well 2 days faster than promised.
I'm highly recommending etrailer.com they've been fantastic!
