Hitch Installation on 2014 Nissan Versa
Question:
I have a 448 pound bike that I was hoping to tow behind my car when i move. Would this hitch on the car allow for that?

Page 9-16 of the online edition of the owner's manual for the 2014 Nissan Versa says only this about towing a trailer: "Do not tow a trailer with your vehicle".
Attaching a hitch such as light-duty Class I hitch # C11256 from Curt will not change the vehicle's capacities. When hitches are made for cars that are not intended to tow this is so that they can use accessory items like bike racks such as # S64650 and cargo carriers such as # C18145. An installation video for this hitch is linked.
This hitch itself is capable of towing a trailer of up to 2000-lbs. Towing requires a ball mount # C45520, a hitch ball like 1-7/8-inch # C40001 or 2-inch # C40018, pin and clip # F-4 and a wiring harness for the trailer's lights, part # C56400. If the trailer does not have lights this is not needed.
