This is a great kit! It included everything we needed to replace the old, worn-out brackets on our 6'x10' trailer. The directions were helpful and the brackets and hardware are nice and solid. We've had zero issues with the leaf springs (purchased on etrailer.com, also) or the brackets. Would definitely recommend!

by:

Excellent, had everything I needed and more for my trailer. Everything fit well!

by:

Everything fit perfectly

by:

Works as good as expected

by:

I ordered replacement leaf springs for my trailer using the instructions provided by etrailer. The correct items were shipped and they fit perfectly! The mounting hardware was exactly what was needed. No extra parts were needed as in run to the local hardware store! The springs went in with no problems.
I would absolutely buy from etrailer again as their customer service was excellent as was the products.

I bought a axle, springs wheels, hubs etc. to build a utility trailer, I inadvertently had ordered incompatible hubs for the selected axle the person filling the order noticed this and contacted customer service to alert them of the issue who then called me to correct the problem. This saved me the time and expense of returning the part and delaying the project. great service, attentive, knowledgeable employees and great products.
Thanks E trailer.

Fast shipping. Great customer service. Also bought left springs to go with. Worked great on my small boat trailer.

These spring hangers worked great. My boat is back on the road!

Parts are very good quality...delivery was fast ...price was very fair. Thank you

Sometimes on older trailers the leaf spring bushings will wear out and the mounting bolts will get wear grooves in them. Its cheap to replace everything play it safe.

Everything fit perfectly.

I have purchased several items from etrailer and have always been very satisfied with there parts and there service. I have never had the pleasure of talking with any of there reps, because they do such a great job of describing their parts with videos and knowledgeable people it makes the job easy. When you live in a small town you can't just go down town and buy a new set of spring hangers or a new spring, but with the push of a button you can usually find what you need and it is priced fairly.I am a very satisfied customer. keep up the goog work etrailor

by:

Items were shipped quickly. All parts were clean ready to weld in place. While my project may have a long way to go, the installation of the springs was quick and easy with springs and the mounting kit from etrailer.

Phil, thanks for your business and your review. Since the required U-bolt lengths and diameters vary from axle to axle, the mounting components are sold separately. The U-bolt kits may be found at this link:

After purchasing an order of springs, shackle kit, U-bolts, bearing kit and a new Pro jack for a trailer repair I discovered a week delay in shipping due to one of the items on back order. (Email the day after I ordered informing me of the delay) A call to Angie K. On that Sunday!!!! And she had an in stock item to replace it and had my order on its way Monday morning , Thank You Angie everything sent was what I ordered and correct. Communication was great and they did what they said they would, Good prices and free shipping on my orderThanks again

Thanks for following up. I used your product on a motorcycle trailer I was building for a trip I made last year. Im extremely impressed with the quality of your product, and also the affordable pricing! I had two Harleys on the trailer with a total worth of about $65,000 and we hauled them from Nevada to Ohio and back with zero issues and your product performed flawlessly. Thanks so much again

by:

I have not welded them unto the trailer as yet, but the parts seem to be of high quality.

Wow, the shackle plates were long, but everything is quality materials. The nuts are locking and bolts are hard. Nuts threaded on without and problems. took a bit till I figured out the after shackle hanger where it said Up was to be against frame before welding. Welded on with easy,no penetration problem what so ever

by:

Quality seems good and I REALLY appreciate the opportunity to acquire these items as a complete set for my application

Thank you etrailer!

I used these to install new springs on my trailer. For the price, it was easier than ordering all the parts separate. They are not galvanized so I painted the parts. Parts all came very quickly.

  • Comparing Different Hanger Kits ffor Single Axle Trailer with Double Eye Leaf Spring
Hi Barney! Any of the single axle kits you listed will work just fine for your single axle trailer. The main differences between the kits you listed is their height and how they install so I'll list out the differences below and you can decide from there which option is best for your trailer. - 1-1/2" Front, 7/8" Rear (4-1/4" or 4-1/2" clearance between trailer frame and axle) - Kit # APS1 - 1-1/2" Front, 1-1/4" Rear (4" or 4-1/2" clearance between trailer frame and axle) - Kit #...

  • 3,500 lb Axle, Leaf Spring, Wheel and Tire, Hanger Kit and U-Bolt Kit Recommendation for a Trailer
The Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # e43SR that you referenced is a 3,500 lb axle so you will need to use springs with the same capacity. For that I would recommend the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e57SR that you also referenced. For a single axle hanger kit you would want the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APS1. For a wheel and tire combo that you could run all around your trailer you could get the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Galvanized Wheel # AM32397. This would...

  • Spring Hanger Spacing for the Hanger Kit # APS1 with PR4B Springs
The recommended distance between the hangers of the # APS1 would be 24-7/8 inches when using the leaf spring # e54SR. When the trailer is set on the ground and the leaf spring is supporting the weight of the trailer the spring will flatten out and get longer so that the shackle will face the correct way.

  • Hanger Spacing Dimension Used for Leaf Spring Part # e77SR

  • Width of Hangers Included With Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs
The larger hanger that comes with the # APS1 is 2-5/16" wide on the outside and 1-7/8" on the inside. The smaller hanger is 1-13/16" on the outside and 1-3/8" on the inside. These are designed to work with your standard 1-3/4" wide double-eye leaf spring. I have attached the full dimensions below.

  • Recommended Trailer Components Between Frame And 2 Inch Square Axle Of Small Trailer
For your trailer with GVWR of 780 lbs, the best option we have for your leaf springs is the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles - 20-3/8" Long # e84SR you mentioned but they are definitely overkill. To mount your springs to your frame, I recommend the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 1-1/2" Front, 7/8" Rear # APS1 which will need to be welded in place. To mount your 2 inch square axle, I recommend the CE Smith U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 2" Square Trailer...

  • Trailer Suspension Hanger Spacing When Using Spring e46SR on 6,000 Pound Axles
The hanger spacing depends on the number of axles and some other factors including the hanger kit that is used. On a single axle trailer using kit # APS1 the center to center distance from the front to rear hanger is 24-7/8 inches. On a tandem axle set up the center to center distance from the front to center hanger and from the center to rear hanger is 29-1/2 inches. • Should the Trailer Suspension Rear Hanger be Closer or Farther From the Axle than Rear Spring Eye
The rear hanger should be slightly closer to the axle (forward) of the trailer. If you look at the drawing on the product page for Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs, # APS1, you will see the rear hanger is more forward than the center of the rear eye of the spring. When choosing between the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs part # APS1, part # APS2, and part # APS3 it will be best to use the one that has measurements that most closely resemble what is already on your trailer. For example, if your rear leaf spring hangers are 7/8" tall or shorter than you would want to use part # APS1 but if they are taller then this you would want to use part # APS2 or part # APS3. I do have a few options available for you however, we currently do not sell torsion axles. You have two options to consider for your trailer, the Timbren axle-less suspension and the Dexter straight axles. As you have a gross trailer weight (GTW) of 3,000 lbs. I recommend using a 3,500 lb setup. The Timbren System will provide you with a much easier method for converting from torsion springs in addition to containing fewer components. • How Tight Should Suspension Shackle Bolts Be Torqued
The shackle bolts used between the springs and hangers do not require a specific torque rating because tightening the shackle bolts too much will squeeze the shackle straps against the leaf springs, and the whole suspension system will bind and cause problems. The best thing to do when tightening down shackle bolts is to use lock nuts, tighten them until they are snug, then back them off 1/4 turn. The lock nuts of the part # APS1 will keep them from backing off.

If you need a U-bolt kit for this axle, # APUBR-10 will work well. The hanger kit you use will depend on how much space you want between the axle and the trailer frame. Hanger kit # APS1 provides between 4-1/4 to 4-1/2 inches of clearance. # APS3 would give between 4 and 4-1/2 inches of clearance. # APS4 is 5 to 5-1/2 inches and # APS5 is between...
