Question:
single leaf spring for a 6000 lbs. Where are the placements on the trailer go?

Expert Reply:
The hanger spacing depends on the number of axles and some other factors including the hanger kit that is used. On a single axle trailer using kit # APS1 the center to center distance from the front to rear hanger is 24-7/8 inches.
On a tandem axle set up the center to center distance from the front to center hanger and from the center to rear hanger is 29-1/2 inches.
On a triple axle set up the distance from the front to the second hanger is 29-1/2 inches, from the second to third hangers it is 34 inches, and from the third to fourth hangers it is 29-1/2.
The distance between the hangers may vary depending on your specific application. Be sure to verify proper positioning before welding.
