This makes coupling easy. Not mor lock lever getting jammed. Does require extensive cutting off old one and welding on new. It is worth it! Put this on 2011 27 ft funfinder. Then put one on my 12 aluminum trailer. Was just bolt on. Then my tractor utility trailer. Also was simple bolt on.

I like the slide in pin works great

This is a great coupler and great people to business with! Tks Adam and team for getting it here so quick. Trailer tongue angle wasn't correct, but that's not a problem for a welder!

See what our Experts say about this CURT A-Frame Trailer Coupler

  • Will Pro Series 6" Detachable Caster Fit Pro Series Round A-Frame Jack
Yes, the Pro Series 6", Detachable Caster # PS1400750340 will fit the Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack # PSRV20000103. If you would also like a footplate you can use the # PS1400700340. The only Curt A-Frame coupler we have is the QuickPin # C84DR. This fits a 2-5/16" ball as well with a higher capacity at 14,000 lbs. The QuickPin design allows for a simple and secure hookup. If you would prefer a thumb latch I recommend the A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5400-B instead.

  • Mounting Hardware Needed To Install Curt QuickPin No Latch A-Frame Trailer Coupler 25474 # C84DR
The Curt QuickPin No Latch A-Frame Trailer Coupler 25474 # C84DR will require grade 5 hardware. It is recommended to use six 1/2" bolts, six 1/2" lock nuts and twelve 1/2" washers. This can obviously change depending on your exact frame dimensions. I have linked the installation instructions at the bottom of the page which you can show the installer as well.

  • Is There a Trailer Coupler Repair Kit for a 2-5/16" Coupler GVWR 7K
I do have an option for you and this is a common question but the trailer coupler repairs kits aren't universal and only a very few available for select trailer couplers. Therefore, if you're having issue with your existing coupler it will need to be replaced for which I recommend the Curt QuickPin No Latch A-Frame Trailer Coupler part # C84DR. This is a bolt-on coupler so all you need to do is cut the old one off and drill/bolt the new one in place, no welding required. It also uses a...

  • Replacement For 8,000 lb A-Frame Trailer Coupler With 2-5/16 Inch Hitch Ball
Thanks so much for the photos, and there isn't a replacement for just the front coupler portion of the long-discontinued coupler you have. So in order to switch out from a 2" to a 2-5/16" coupler attachment, you will need to replace the entire coupler. Since yours looks to be bolted on, you can remove it and replace it with another bolt-on coupler that accepts a 2-5/16" hitch ball: - Curt QuickPin No Latch A-Frame Trailer Coupler # C84DR The # C84DR is the easiest way to change your coupler...

  • 2 inch Ball Coupler Recommendation for A-Frame Trailer
I checked with Curt and they only have a 2-5/16 inch ball version of the QuickPin with the part # C84DR. S for a 2 inch ball a-frame coupler I really like the Demco coupler part # DM14793-52 which has the eZ Latch that I think is the easiest and least likely to get hard to operate over time like a lot of couplers do.

  • Locking Pin Recommendation for the Curt QuickPin No Latch A-Frame Trailer Coupler
There is! To replace the standard pin and clip on the Curt QuickPin No Latch A-Frame Trailer Coupler # C84DR Curt actually recommend the Hitch Lock # C23025 which is what I recommend going with!

  • What Does 50 Degree of Curt QuickPin Coupler # C84DR Reference
50 degrees in the title and description of the Curt QuickPin part # C84DR is in reference to the angle of the trailer frame that this coupler fits on. This is the standard angle trailer frame so I'd be shocked if your trailer didn't match this.

  • Can You Switch a Trailer with Lunette Ring for a 2-5/16" Trailer Coupler
It sounds like you have a lunette ring on your trailer now and are wanting to swap that out for a 2-5/16" trailer coupler and if that's the case we have some great options for this. If it's an a-frame trailer which is the most common type then I recommend the Curt QuickPin No Latch A-Frame Trailer Coupler part # C84DR which can simply be bolted to the trailer frame with no welding required. In order to remove the old coupler, you'd likely need to cut the existing welds off if that's how...
