Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at replacement shackle straps for your trailer suspension. Most times our trailers are stored outside and they're exposed to a lot of elements. So just like any metal, it can corrode over time and you can see here's our old shackle strap. It has seen better days, and sometimes your holes can actually begin to oblong over time as the suspension moves. And unfortunately, once it starts to do that, it can get worse over time. So replacing something that connects all your suspension, these are gonna be a strong point to have your lease springs go to your equalizer.
So making sure that these are actually structurally strong are gonna make sure that your suspension is gonna be working properly and safely. So these straps have a diameter hole for the bolt of nine sixteenths. And you're gonna want to look at your old shackle straps to make sure that these are a direct replacement. And you're gonna measure the length by going from the center of the hole to the center of the hole. And these ones are gonna be three and 1/8th of an inch.
These are going to be steel construction, so they're gonna be nice and sturdy. And also when replacing anything on your suspension, this is just gonna kind of give it a fresh look. You know, if you're replacing your equalizer and you have rusty shackle straps, that doesn't really aesthetically look great, so this is gonna give it a fresh look and also be structurally strong. Now these are sold individually. So if you are replacing your tandem axle equalizer, you're gonna wanna pick up four of them.

Product quality was excellent.
Great straps, fit as expected. After one year, they are holding up great.
Better quality than OEM.
Not much to say it's a shackle strap, I ordered 4 and they are as described and shipping was right on, I did however redrill them for 2" centers, I'm happy and wont hesitate to order from etrailer in the future.

Was suppose to be delivered on Aug 2, then it said Aug 4, today is the 4th and still no part and says Aug 7th now. Thanks to the poor communication and shipping time we have to push back our vacation
Perfect fit for my 5th wheel suspension rebuild. Needed to raise trailer height and was suggested in the Correct Track lift system I purchased from Etrailer.

The non threaded (solid) part was slightly longer than my original bolt. Bolt length is correct.
But I was able to make it work.

wonderful as it should
Perfect and on time
Worked like they are supposed to. Held on by the bolts I purchased and leaf spring. It fixed what was broken.
Using etrailer.com has been a great experience. They have a huge selection of trailer parts and make it very easy to find the right parts. The packaging seems to have gotten alot better. Very sturdy box. It arrived within a few days from ordering which was a huge plus. I was able to get the job done sooner than planned. That kind of experience will keep me loyal to etrailer for any future trailer parts needs. Thanks guys and gals. Keep up the great work. As far as the parts, eveything was heavier duty than factory. Since I measured the old parts I was able to find the exact replacements for those parts. The job went so smoothly without any issues. These springs raised the trailer height without any load on the axles 1.5 inches. It was definitely time for new springs and hardware. Im kind of glad the one spring broke.
This is a multiple product review. The long bracket are good. The shorter brackets are of the same good quality. The issue is using the short brackets with the shackles. The shorter brackets could be narrower so the shackle line up better with spring and other longer bracket. We used washers to make it align better. The greasing bolts are good, but could be longer. so we could only use 2 of the 6 and had to use normal grade 8 bolts.
I was so happy to be able to order the exact replacement shackle straps for my RV suspension system. This monster wasn't moving again until the repair was made.

I broke one spring on my tandem axle trailer. After a little internet search I found etrailer. I decided to change all springs(upgraded to p4)shackles,equalizers,n bolts) total price around $200.00 about 40 percent cheaper than a local trailer repair shop..I ordered it early on a Tuesday and I got the order on Wednesday. Changed out parts on Thursday and back on the road on Friday. Great company to deal with!!

These shackles installed easily and were the exact same dimensions as the ones I replaced. The shackles are solid and appear to be sturdier than the ones I replaced. Ordering with etrailer was easy as they provided all the dimensions needed to order the correct shackles. Delivery was fast as well.
