Awesome use it everyday for my work.

by:

I bought the spring kit to put on my home built trailer that I put my old heavy slide-in camper on. It more than met my expectations. There was no sway at 75mph or on the 5 mile trail back to camp.

by:

I think these Trailer spring hangers are working out very well. Can’t wait to test it out on the road. I’m building a 7000 lbs GVWR trailer to mount a generator on.

by:

Had what I needed to repair my trailer. Shipping was faster than expected. The kit should contain bushing for the springs as well. Also an option for the greaseable pins.

by:

It was easy to install, and had all the parts I needed.
The trailer rolls down the road nice.
This helped me get a barn find trailer back on the road.

by:

Excellent experience. My order shipped and arrived extremely fast and the customer support team was kind professional and promp in answering any questions I had.

We summer at a remote cabin in the Gila Nat'l Forest above Silver City NM. The last 5 miles to the cabin is extremely rough and puts a lot of wear and tear on both my truck and my trailer that we use to transport water, food, building materials and supplies to the cabin on a twice a month schedule. I have had suspension springs break, blown tires and damaged coupler. I ordered this kit to replace the entire hanger assembly because of wear and tear, cracks and loose fittings. I had to re-enforce the frame and weld up some cracks and wear points. The kit was great and worked perfect. The trailer is now like new and will serve me for years to come.

by:

I'm building a trailer for a gutter machine from scratch. And the parts that I got from e-trailer are exactly what I needed, and on top of that they got to my house 3 days earlier than they were suppose to. I know where to order again if I need some more parts in near future ;) thank you guys

by:

I had a trailer with a suspension that needed new bushing and rocker arm. I looked on line and decided on the parts I needed. I called my order in on Sunday evening and explained I needed the parts ASAP.
The parts were sent to UPS Sunday evening. I received the parts about 2:00 Wednesday. I have already installed the parts. The suspension is back like new now.

by:

My flatbed trailer is a 1998 and the suspension and wheels were suffering from Pa's use of salt brine on the roads. The wheels had holes rusted through them! Decided it was time to repair the trailer. Got new wheels and suspension parts from E-trailer. Got my parts fast at a good price and well on my way to having a reliable trailer again. Great service and will do business again!

Year later and trailer is still working great again. PA inspection will be due in a month and everything is still in good shape

by:

Donna helped me a great deal and made sure I ordered just what I needed and rushed the delivery so I could attend my event to meet Tim Mattis and team up to fight veteran suicide.

by:

Everything I needed was included and fit as it should.

by:

Perfect fit. No problems.

by:

I have ordered from Etrailer a few times now, The service is always great and fast shipping. They have the best prices around. Where I live I have 24 miles of rough dirt road so am always replacing parts on my trailers. Their products hold up to the test of my road. Always a perfect fit too!

I didn’t receive all parts on original shipment. Box was partly open due to the box wasn’t big enough and that’s why it bust. After Tralee already tore part when found. I called to get replacement parts. That went well until I received what I was originally missing, and y’all sent me galvanized straps and I said to hell with it. Not going to keep waiting. I’ll paint over them. Not sure why my new order and the replacement straps couldn’t have been shipped together. But oh well I’ll wait several more days for part that was in stock in the same building probably to shopped late. Better luck next time

  • Trailer Suspension Hanger Kit for Two 2-3/8 Inch Axles and 25-1/4 Inch Leaf Springs
A suspension hanger kit won't have anything to do with the space between the tires and the trailer frame but can affect the front to back space between the tires. I recommend kit # APT5. On it the center to center distance between axles is 33-1/2 inches (suggested) and since your tire size of 255/75-15 has an overall diameter of 28.6 inches then there will be plenty of space. I have included a link to our help article on double-eye spring suspension for you.

  • Axle to Frame Height Difference Between Tandem Axle Hanger Kits # APT3 and # APT5
We don't have CAD drawings we can give out for our hanger kits but I can help give you info to help you determine what the height of your axles relative to your trailer frame would be with each kit. With the part # APT5 it will give you approximately 4-1/2 inch to 5 inch of clearance and the part # APT3 will give you approximately 3-1/2 inch to 3-3/4 inch.

I spoke with my contact at Dexter and he informed me that you will tighten down the mounting hardware as tight as you can reasonably get it, and that even though you have the hardware tight it will still allow the necessary movement for the equalizer to work as designed on this Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit, part # APT5. • Can 14K Trailer Switch From Slipper Springs to Double-Eye Springs
Yes, you can change your 14k trailer's slipper springs to double eye springs; you'll need new springs, of course, but also new hangers. So you'll have to have your old hangers cut off and the new ones welded on. You'll need to take some measurements to determine the correct replacement hangers, which should really be the same length as your current hangers. For example, I assume you have a tandem axle trailer and all the hangers are 3-1/4" tall you can use the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger...

  • How To Determine Axle Placement for Tandem Axles on Trailer
I can help you out with this, but without knowing anything about the trailer, I can't give you any exact numbers. For starters, I've linked one of our helpful articles on where to position your trailer axle. Thank you for the measurements you provided and for the photo of your trailer suspension mockup showing the spring components' spacing. As long as your shackles do not hit the trailer frame (you mention 1/8-inch clearance) you should be fine, but if you'd like a bit more breathing room you could increase spacing from 29-1/2 to 30-inches without negatively affecting anything else.

  • Should Trailer Suspension Equalizers be Level
If the trailer is not loaded then you will often see equalizers that are tilted like yours. It does not necessarily mean that there is a problem with the suspension. If the springs are worn out then the trailer would easily bottom out. If that is not happening then the springs are likely fine. It is possible that some component is not the right size as well. If the springs are too short or the equalizers are not long enough that can affect the geometry of the suspension.

  • Why Are Axles on Horse Trailer Further Back
There are a couple reasons why you typically see the axles on a horse trailer further back than on a standard cargo or flatbed trailer. The first reason is to try and maintain the trailer's weight distribution as best as possible during travel. Since horses may move around a bit or sit down, having a shorter rear overhang helps to keep everything more stable. This shorter overhang also helps when it's time for the horses to climb in for their ride. Since the rear won't move as much...
