I was expecting that "Molded Cable" meant that the connector was fused to the cable insulation but instead, the two separated almost immediately after I installed it. It still works fine as the wires are connected securely inside the connector but with the outer covering pulled out like this, I don't think it will last very long.
Çable good but after putting new 7way plug on truck cable wire colors did not match etrailers picture
I installed this Hopkins connector cable on my 2003 Jayco 12 Sd popup camper because I replaced hydraulic brakes on it with the electric brakes. Needed some extra wires. Four were not enough to operate the lights and electric brakes. Installation was quick. I had to match wires on the trailer with cable wires. Cable looks great and so far it works great. We just checked out on our first camping trip this year.
Very simple and well made. It’s a lot better than wadding up the cord and stuffing it in the fifth wheel hitch.
Quality plug connector, works well and I'm sure will last a long time.

The outer sheath for the pigtail has pulled away from the plug, exposing the wires inside. I fear the wiring will soon pull from the connections inside the plug. Im always careful to pull the plug out by the plug itself.
Arrived in a timely fashion, easy installation and worked well.
I bought a used trailer and it needed the cable replaced. The new cable is working great
My wire harness was easy to install, looked great and performed great. One year later and it still looks and performs great! I definitely recommend to anyone building their own trailer or are looking to upgrade to better wiring! My homemade trailer was a great success, thanks to etrailer.com!
I am replacing the trailer connection wiring harness as part of the brake system. My 5th wheel trailer is now 10 years old so this is a preventive maintenance step in the process. Hopefully with new wheel/brake parts my trailer brakes will work better.

Well built and plenty of length for wiring to my junction box.
Had some real issues with this one. Should have noticed when purchasing this harness is not wired using standard truck/trailer color format. Other than that it went together fairly nice. If the connector would come apart I was thinking of fixing the wiring my self.
It was just like the one that I was replacing. I cut a corner to sharp while turning and pinched the cable that came with my Keystone RV. Like for like.
Pros:
Best wire gauge in a 7 pin connector I could find.
Cons: reverse lights (red), left turn (yellow), right turn (green), and running light (brown) and not wired correctly in the plug for their respective wire colors.
I bought this for a sealed plug with good gauge wire to help save some time. What I got was a total headache trying to find out the problem of why it was not working correctly. This might not have been so bad had it not been on a new to me truck that I was not so trusting of the wiring in it. So I wound up looking at the truck first not thinking the plug would be wired incorrectly.
Be warned.

This has been a great replacement harness and was easy to install.
exact replacement made the repair easy.
I had to get a longer pigtail for my fifth wheel since the stock one kept pulling the plug and breaking the flap on hard left turns. This pigtail solved the issue and has worked flawlessly on my Ram 3500 since installation.
P.S. E-Trailer saved my bacon when I broke two of four leaf springs on a trip from WA state to TX last winter. I hobbled into a nice RV park in El Paso TX and proceeded to call e-trailer. The gal on the other end made sure I had the right springs and hardware to replace all four leaf springs (overnighted $$$) and did her best to get them to me as fast as possible. They did not have the exact replacements so I opted for the spring that had the extra leaf, which probably should have been the correct one to begin with. I went to the local hardware store to get a few tools I didn't have on my truck (puller, torque wrench and plastic hammer) so I could finish the job. I replaced all four leafs in the RV park and was back on the road in three days from the time they broke. The replacement springs are far better and smoother than the original ones and lifted the fifth wheel about a half inch, which made it completely level. I'm totally happy with E-trailer and would HIGHLY recommend that they be the first call when you need anything for your travel needs. She also called me back several times to make sure I was doing OK...where do you get that service these days? Jim S.

only negative is nothing to say what wire goes to what function. basically no diagram sheet but that is easily found Info

wiring harness was a great addition to my atv trailer. replaced that dinky 4 way and I dont have to worry about an adapter. its held well since install

I know that the Hopkins harness wires are as follows for function: White Wire - Ground, Red Wire - Left Turn and Brake, Brown Wire - Right Turn and Brake, Green Wire -Tail Lights, Blue Wire -Brake Power, Black Wire -12 volt hot lead, Yellow Wire -Aux.. They will not necessarily match the trailer for color; you will want to match them for function. If the colors are not as they are stated here please let me know.
