@John We're glad to hear that your # TREQE1 suspension equalizer is still working well for you!

by: 04/18/2024

The bolt holes are not bored center of the lobes and are not 90 degrees to the stock. The egg shaped equalizers I am replacing have more material remaining on the thin side than the new ones I just received from etrailer. NOT HAPPY Must Resolve This Issue ASAP

by:

I knew my shackles where worn but like most people, I put off changing them until one broke. I did buy the HD Dexter shackle kit about 6-12 months before installing it. I bought the wrong shackle kit with too small equalizers. I ordered this to get the job finished up. I only gave them a 4 star rating because they were definitely not as heavy as the Dexter units--Dexter had grease fits and bronze bushings. This unit had no grease fittings and what looked like plastic bushings.

With that said, These units worked just fine.
Hauled 5k lbs with them so far.
We will see what the test of time says.

Easy to install if you have jacks and stand mine was on a ranger boat trailer just towed over 700 mile and I'm
Really satisfied

by:

Direct fit and replacement. I replaced the fiber bushings with the brass ones that came with the suspension upgrade kit that I ordered with the 2 equalizers.

Still quiet and holding up well.

by:

Product as described and holding up well

by:

Parts fit perfectly and shipping was fa st!

by:

My old trailer had some play in the suspension and visibly worn parts so I just ordered every thing except for the axles them selves. Glad I did too. Here are some pics of the old parts and new.

by:

Excellent parts, prompt delivery and good pricing

by:

Looks to be a good part. Also fit just fine.

by:

Looks as good or better than what I had. We will see how they hold up. I paired them with a new heavy duty set of shackles . Don't think I'll have a problem for a long time now!

by:

This product looks identical to the one that came off of my 1992 trailer. The original piece is stamped Brazil, the new one is stamped China. Time will tell how it holds up, but install was no issue.

by:

Perfect fit.

Ordered curved equalizer, shackles, bushings, bolts with grease zerk, to fix my son-inlaws trailer and this was my first time to order from here. The order was simple and the service and updates were very prompt with my order shipping the same day and received it in 2 days.Parts looked great and fit great so I couldn't be more pleased with my order from start to finish. If someone needs trailer parts this is the place to go.Thank you etrailer for making my job easy.

Still holding-up great with no issues.

I worked with Laura on replacement shackles, equalizer and bolts with grease fittings. Unfortunately there wasn't a kit that had the combination of equalizer length and shackle length but Laura was very helpful in working through the options.

The products arrived on time, as promised and after the normal cussing and fussing to get the old stuff off, they fit well. The second side went much faster than the first side, go figure. . .

I was pleased with the combination of price and service. I would probably be willing to pay more for US made products but that's the only reason I didn't give the highest rating. Service was great and I recommend calling if you aren't absolutely sure you know what you need.

The shackles and equalizers are still there and working well. One grease fitting came out of a bolt yesterday which was a bit annoying as they are just pressed in, not a threaded fitting. I may tap the bolt for a screw in fitting as the press in came out in my grease gun after greasing. Everything else has worked well.

Very very cheap broke in the drive way trying to install.

I received the curved equalizer in 2 days, awesome fast shipping. It appears to be of good quality and after installation works as intended. Shipping prices were very reasonable.

I replaced my leaf springs, shackle straps ,equalizers and wet bolts on my 2000 30' Alpenlite 5th wheel .I was very happy with your products .Everything arrived on time and in good shape .The installation took 5 hrs. with most of the time spent on removal and set up (getting the trailer 12.5 K in the air with all 4 off the ground )New parts went on in about 15 min. per side. Now I can lube the bolts & I have the clearance between the axel & frame that I was concerned about . Thanks for your help in ordering the parts. James P

After suffering a major incident on the highway where 3 of the 4 tires were destroyed along with the rims and some suspension parts, I needed parts fast and correct for my trailer. These wheels, along with the other suspension parts, where inexpensive, well built, accurately described, delivered quickly, and exactly what I needed to get my trailer back up and in operating condition again.

by:

Not happy! Quality is very poor! Comes with nylon bushings! No grease zert! Not what I thought I was ordering! Looks like it was drilled and oversize bushings put in it to reduce down so nylon bushings would fit! I will not order any other products from etrailer!!!

The photos in the product description show nylon bushings. The equalizer wouldnt typically have a grease zerk, youd want to use a wet bolt like # 126B2.

Perfect match! Bought my trailer from a scrap yard and decided to replace the whole suspension. Didn't know much about Tandem Axle trailers but the folks at etrailer were super helpful and the product descriptions are so in-depth that I was confident I was making the right purchase. I'm disappointed they are made in China but I won't knock anyone at etrailer for this as I didn't see any US made equalizers for a remotely competitive price nor did any other sellers offer the level of quality customer service at etrailer. Plus, I know that etrailer doesn't sell junk so even if it was made overseas I am confident it is still a quality product.

I'll be back again and so will everyone I know!

by:

Working on a 18' utility trailer that has been used and abused. Went to replace the bushings and shackles and when I pulled the equalizer down found the center hole so egged out I am surprised it did not break. Went on line to etrailer and had the replacements in 2 days. They already come with the new bushings so quick and easy to install and get the trailer back in service safe and sound.

by:

I purchased the equalizer It is a perfect match for the one I replaced the only thing is I wish I would've bought a Whole kit because the bolts I took out were Worn as well as my shackles so I had to go to the store and try to find placement parts

by:

Product was exactly what I expected when I ordered. My old equalizers were only 5 and 3/4" wide and much shorter. These longer and taller equalizers will allow the springs to work in unison better due to the original placement of the front and back spring hangers. Quality seems to be very good.

  • Comparison Of Trailer Equalizers TREQE34 and TREQE1
The weight of a trailer is transferred evenly by the equalizers to the suspension system(springs, shackles and hangers), and the equalizers do not have a weight capacity listed. The equalizer allows for a smooth transfer of impact caused by rough or bumpy roads. The difference between part # TREQE34 and part # TREQE1 is the center hole with # TREQE1 having a 9/16 inch center hole and # TREQE34 having a 3/4-inch center hole. Both equalizers are designed to work with 1-3/4 inch double-eye...

  • Do Shackle Straps Need To Be The Same On Both Sides of a Trailer?
It sounds like the previous owner broke something and instead of repairing the one side and changing the other they just decided to fix what was wrong. After owning the trailer for 2 years if you're not having uneven tire wearing issues and the trailer isn't lop-sided when loaded up you shouldn't have to fix anything. The shackles need to be the same on both sides of the trailer though. Like this one Curved Equalizer for 1-3/4" Wide Double-Eye Springs item # TREQE1. It is 7-3/4" Long that...

There are a few things that could be causing one side of your tandem axle trailer with 12k Dexter Axles to wear the inside of the tire on one side. • Will A Different Shape Or Style Of Equalizer Be A Problem On My 2006 Zinger Trailer?
There is no reason for concern based on the equalizer replacement being curved versus triangle shape on your 2006 Zinger trailer. It is just a different style that will function very similarly. It is very common to have a style difference and height difference when replacing equalizers, but as long as your other components were in spec as you stated, you shouldn't have any issues. • Why Would Trailer Axle Shackles Flip Wrong Direction When Trailer is Unloaded
If the shackles are flipping the wrong direction frequently that typically means the leaf springs are too short, the hanger spacing is too big, or the shackles are too short. Most of the time it's somebody changed leaf springs and just went with replacements that are too short and now the shackle angle is too flat when unloaded and they easily flip over bumps. So basically the solution is to get the shackles at more of a vertical angle. You can do this by moving the hangers closer, installing...

When aligning the axles on your Trailstar Trailer, I recommend aligning them so that they are square to the trailer's frame. Doing this will maintain the load capacity and structural integrity of the trailer itself. If you were to instead align the trailer to the tongue, it would shift the load bearing components of the trailer off-center, essentially reducing it to an unknown capacity.
