What Information Is Needed To Replace an Equalizer

Question:

I have a 2003 Forrest River enclosed trailer. It is a tandem axle with 3500# axles. I was wanting to replace the equalizer on the suspension. How do I go about finding the right product?

In order to find the correct replacement equalizer you will need to measure your current equalizer. The length of the new equalizer should match what you currently have or be as close as possible. This is measured from the center of the left-most eye to the center of the right-most eye.

You will also want to measure the height of the equalizer. This is the height from the center of the bottom hole to the center of the top hole. For example, if you found that your length was 7-3/4" and height was 3-3/16" then the # TREQE1 would be a good replacement.

I have attached a diagram showing the measurements, along with a helpful article on trailer suspension. I also included a link to all of our available equalizers that you can check out.
