Worked great, paint is holding up, hardware was good quality, bolted right in…no issues, hold load at least as good as factory springs. Would recommend and buy again!!

by:

Not only were the parts the right parts the kit had all I needed to do it right the videos made it as easy as it could be. The right parts that work and good videos on how to do it. I did call to be sure I was ordering everything I was going to need and was given great advise and was not encouraged to get things that I did not need. They are my go to team to get anything trailer done.

20 OF THESE IN A BOX WITH BOLTS AND SHACKLES BANGING AROUND IN A BOX. ABOSOLUTE TERRBLE PACKAGING

by:

I have a 2001 travel trailer and I had a spring break on the front axle, thank God I was only a quarter mile from home. I went on the E trailer site easily found the springs I needed, the Triangular equalizer, and the bolts I needed. My order arrived 3 days later, I was very pleased with the quality of all my parts. Some reviews complain about the parts made in china, well lets be honest what is made in the USA any more. Every thing fit as expected and my project is done. Would definitely recommend E trailer to anyone who wants a good product at a fair price . Thanx E trailer!!

by:

Great feedback. Excellent product line.

by:

Exactly what I needed!

by:

The product is exactly what I ordered. Shipping was very quick. The staff at Etrailer was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I'm sure I will order from them next time I need parts for one of my trailers.

by:

Product seems to be of decent quality, but was missing a bushing when I recieved it. That put me another 3 days behind waiting for them to send out a bushing to replace the one left out of the order. They aren't able to be locally procured for me, so I had to wait on shipping. Quality control could use some work.

by:

Perfect fit

by:

Excellent service extremely helpful, friendly, probably the best customer service I've ever seen 6 star rating!

by:

This product was easy to install and seemed to be well made. It gave me a few extra inches of height that I wanted to help level my fifth wheel. I would have prefered to find one made in the USA and one that had bronze bushings. I took out the plastic bushings and installed the equalizer with a wet bolt kit with bronze bushings and grease zerks on the bolts. The service at etrailer was great. I needed the equalizers quickly and etrailers representative was friendly and helpful and shipping was immediate.

Old ones out, new ones in. Easiest thing I've done to the camper to this date. Fast delivery time and well packaged. I will be doing all my future business with you.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know how the Timbren kit has held up for you.

by:

Fit perfectly, I removed plastic bushings to use wet bolt heavy duty shackle kit!! Everything fit perfectly!!!

by:

i have ordered many parts for my old car trailer, and every part has fit perfectly. easy website to find my parts also.etrailer is awesome! And i am a hard man to please

by:

I ordered springs, bushings , shackles, equalizer, and bolts from e-trailer for my rv tandem axle Chris helped me insure I had the correct parts and the correct quantity of parts. I put one on and everything went fine. The only problem was the galvanized coating on the shackles made the hole to small and had to be drilled. ETrailer has great videos to show you how it is done. The phone sales staff was knowledgeable and effective, and shipment was quick, and all parts were there.

by:

Great products for a good price and fantastic service. I will be using etrailer again.
I broke one spring on my tandem axle trailer. After a little internet search I found etrailer. I decided to change all springs(upgraded to p4)shackles,equalizers,n bolts) total price around $200.00 about 40 percent cheaper than a local trailer repair shop..I ordered it early on a Tuesday and I got the order on Wednesday. Changed out parts on Thursday and back on the road on Friday. Great company to deal with!!

by:

Good product I have put 7,000 miles on them no problems.

by:

Product solved suspension issue, increasing clearance to frame just enough to avoid spring to frame contact.

  • Troubleshooting Rear Hangers Breaking and Front Shackle Strap Making Contact with Trailer Frame
If a rear hanger has broken off twice at the weld on your tandem axle trailer, it's possible that your axles aren't lined up perfectly which is leading to a twisting action during travel. I recommend checking to be sure that the axles are lined up straight with the trailer frame and that nothing looks off with regards to their orientation with each other. Your front shackle straps coming into contact with the trailer frame likely isn't related to the rear hanger issue, but it still is...

  • Taller Tire Recommendation for a Trailer to Lift it
What about going with a taller tire on the trailer? Using blocks or longer hangers and shackles can give you additional height but this can cause the trailer to be a bit top heavy since the trailer's suspension will be altered. Check out the link I attached to the right that has a chart with all of the trailer tire sizes we offer. You will want to check to see what you have and then find a size larger (as long as you have the clearance) that will also fit your trailer's rims. In the far...

  • Adjustable Suspension on a 5th Wheel Trailer to Get More Height to Tow Trailer Level
I can't confirm that an over/under kit would work for you because of the unique hangers on the trailer. Though it does look like it was designed to be adjustable. It also would appear that the amount of height you would gain would be approximately equal to the center to center distance from one mounting hole to the next. This would appear to be a great option for you provided all the hanger locations have additional mounting holes like in your picture. You may also need some addition...

  • Can a Trailer with Leaf Springs Above Axles be Raised
In your situation where you already have the springs above the axles your best option for raising the trailer suspension is to install taller suspension hangers. I attached a link to a page that has all of the hangers we offer. You would want to measure the height of your current ones and then find ones tall. Ideally you want to have the trailer sitting as level as possible with at least 6 inches between the bed rails and the trailer overhang.

I attached a picture that has all of the dimensions of this equalizer for you to check out as well.

  • Replacement Hanger Kit For A 1960s Streamline Empress
Hello Skip. The parts that I suggested to you were recommended based on the information and specs that you provided. Looking back at our previous conversations the 3" wide equalizer hanger was never mentioned, and we would have no way of knowing the size otherwise. All of the parts we have discussed up to this point are intended to be used with 1-3/4" wide double-eye leaf springs. If your hangers will not accommodate this kind of suspension setup they will need to be replaced. the Tandem...

  • Replacing Straight with Triangular Equalizers On a Trailer
In order to confirm fit of the Triangular Equalizer for 1-3/4" Double-Eye Springs part # TREQ310 you need to verify the spacing between the lowermost holes on the equalizer either matches what is currently installed on the trailer or will match when new shackles straps are also installed to make up the difference. The above equalizer measures 6-1/16". The height of the equalizer is not as important. It will provide lift if going to a taller option but it's not a direct 1:1 ratio. If you...

  • Longer Hanger Recommendation for Lifting a Trailer 1-1/2 inches for Tire Clearance
You actually would want shorter shackles for additional lift and then a taller equalizer would help as well. For as much of a lift as you are wanting I would recommend you get hangers that are about 1-1/2 inches longer though, since you want your leaf springs to sit level. And to get 1-1/2 inches of lift by changing shackles and equalizers you most likely will have your leaf spring not sitting level. I attached a link to a page that has all of the hangers we offer. • Could Trailer Suspension Be Lowered by Lowering Height of Equalizer
Yes, if you lowered the height of your trailer's equalizer the height of the trailer would change. That said this is not the best solution as the outside hangers on the trailer suspension are at a height is designed to allow the leaf spring to sit level. If you change the equalizer height drastically without changing the hanger heights too you'll end up with springs that won't sit level. A better option would be to cut the hangers off and go with ones shorter than what you have so that...

  • Can a 4 Inch Tall Equalizer be Used in Place of a 2 Inch to Get More Height On a Trailer
You could use a taller equalizer but you would also need to use taller front and rear hangers as well. Everything will have to be raised equally so if you go up 2 inches in one spot you have to go up 2 inches in all spots. If you do not raise it at all the hangers as well the trailer will ride awkwardly and lead to poor tracking, uneven tire wear and could reduce the capacity of the trailer. When raising the height of a trailer you also raise its center of gravity. This makes the trailer...

  • Can I Change Out My Short Equalizers For Taller Equalizers
You could use a 6-1/6" long by 4" tall equalizer like part # TREQ310 to replace your 6-1/8 x 3-3/4 however changing to a taller equalizer may require you to change to taller spring hangers to keep the geometry correct. The suspension may still be level without changing the hangers but it is possible you will have to change them. I have attached a helpful article for your reference.

Equalizers for trailer suspension have different shapes, lengths, and heights to accommodate different axle spacing, spring lengths, and deck heights. Going to an equalizer that is not the same length and height as the original will require replacing other parts as well including but not limited to the spring hangers and springs themselves.
