by:

Great service, free shipping, received product within 2 days of order. Also ordered the Lippert Never Fail Suspension Upgrade Kit with this equalizer. Looking forward to suspension bushings that don't wear out every couple of years.

The new TruRyde equalizers were an exact match to the old ones. I replaced the bushings that came in them with the Lippert Never Fail bushings before installing them. A year and 4,900 miles later, the new equalizers and Lippert bushings totally corrected my tire wear issues.

by:

Fit perfect, good quality and received in a timely manner.

by:

Excellent as always Thank You

by:

Looks good, work perfectly

by:

I installed new springs and didn't get the fender clearance I expected. Ordered and installed these curved equalizers and gained another 1 1/2" of clearance.

by:

My old bushings were worn completely out. My equalizers were worn completely out. My trailer tires were rubbing the inside of my fiberglass finders. Trailer appears to be lifted 3/4 of an inch. Tires no longer rubbing finders and all of my trailer bushings can now be greased for longer life.

Great product and easy to install.

by:

While we haven't travelled with our 5th wheel yet since installation of our new springs and and the Lippert Never Fail Suspension Upgrade Kit, I am very pleased so far. All of the parts arrived in less than 24 hours from the time I placed my order and etrailer representative was very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything looks great.

by:

Nice solid product. I set mine up on 29 & 1/2 centers using 25 1/4 inch springs and 2.5 inch hangers and these came up a little short, shackle straps were about at 40 to 45 degrees rather than the reccomended 10 to 20 degrees. Rather than break the tack welds and move the outside hangers in a little closer I ordered a slightly longer equalizer that is also galvanized. I would recommend the hanger centers be 28.5 to 29 inches w/ this equalizer. Tack weld first and check set-up before finish welding!

by:

Works great

  • Replacement Upgraded Equalizer Kit for 13-104 Equalizer on Tandem Axle Trailer
The correct replacement equalizer for your 13-104 is TruRyde Curved Equalizer # TREQ104. If you need the kit, you can use the Redline Tandem-Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit # AP233. The upgrade we offer for the 13-104 equalizer is the Dexter E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System - 5-5/8 Inch Equalizers # K71-652-00. These equalizers will replace the standard 13-104 equalizers and deliver smoother towing than standard equalizers. The rubber core will isolate and absorb damaging road...

  • What is the Weight Capacity of the Equalizer EQ-104
There is no weight range for the Curved Equalizer part # TREQ104 or any standard equalizer for that matter. The weight capacity for trailer suspension is always going to be limited by its weakest component which is generally the axle. However, the above equalizer works with 1-3/4" wide leaf springs and there are 1-3/4" wide leaf springs available for 7,000 lb axles so I would not have any hesitation about uses these equalizers with up to a 7,000 lb axle. If the axle is above 7,000 lbs then...

  • Availability Of Equalizer 5-3/4" Long And 1-3/4" Tall For Tandem Axle Trailer
I do have a potential solution for you. While we do not have an equalizer that matches those measurements exactly, we do have the Curved Equalizer for 1-3/4" Wide Double-Eye Springs # TREQ104. This measures 5-3/4" long and 2" tall. When replacing an equalizer we do want to keep every thing identical to stock if possible. There is going to be a small amount of tolerance. With the # TREQ104 we are looking at a difference of 1/4" each way, so it will undoubtedly be a suitable replacement.

  • Would Too Long of Equalizer on Trailer Suspension Cause it to Be at Angle
If your trailer is sitting perfectly level and the equalizer is sitting at an angle then yes I would agree you have too long of equalizers and would need to go with a shorter one like the part # TREQ104 which is 5-3/4 inches. Sometimes it's just a matter of the trailer not sitting level though.

  • Correct Equalizer for Rvison Trailbay 31BHSS Travel Trailer
I'm assuming that your existing equalizer is 6-1/8 inches long, measured center hole to center hole. If this is the case, we don't offer an equalizer that's 6-1/8 by 2, but we can get you really close with part # TREQ104 which is 5-3/4 inch long by 2 inches tall. The 3/8 inch shorter equalizer will slightly change the angle of your shackle links, which will actually allow a bit more suspension articulation.

  • Can I Replace TREQ104 Equalizers With TREQ356 And What Difference Will It Make?
You can replace the Curved Equalizer for 1-3/4" Wide Double-Eye Springs - 5-3/4" Long - 9/16" Center Hole, # TREQ104, with the Curved Equalizer for 1-3/4" Wide Double-Eye Springs - 6-1/8" Long - 9/16" Center Hole, # TREQ356. Even though you can replace these parts, moving to a longer equalizer will cause one axle to have a disproportional amount of weight on it. The smooth transfer of the impact won't be distributed as effectively which will cause a rougher ride without as good traction....

I'm assuming that your existing equalizer is 6-1/8 inches long, measured center hole to center hole, is this correct? If this is the case, we don't offer an equalizer that's 6-1/8 by 2, but we can get you really close with part # TREQ104 which is 5-3/4 inch long by 2 inches tall. The 3/8 inch shorter equalizer will slightly change the angle of your shackle links, which will actually allow a bit more suspension articulation.

  • Shorter Equalizer Solution for Trailer Where One Side of Equalizer Hits Frame
Tot get your equalizer to sit level you basically just need to go with a slightly shorter one (measured from left to right). So what I would recommend is measure the length of what you have and then go with one shorter. Looking at your picture I would be willing to bet you have a 7-3/4 inch one currently so for a shorter one you could go with the part # TREQ356 which is 6-1/8 inch. Or for shorter than that we have the part # TREQ104 which is 5-3/4 inches. There would be no need to replace...

  • Using Taller Equalizer to Lift Trailer After Changing to Lower Mounting Holes on Hangers
As you mentioned in your question, we typically recommend replacing existing hangers with taller ones to ensure you get the trailer lift you are wanting. But with that being said, in your particular application, that is what you will essentially be doing since you already adjusted the front and rear hangers to the lower mounting hole. Because of this, replacing the 2 inch tall Equalizer # TREQ104 with the 4 inch tall Equalizer # TREQ310 that you referenced will indeed lift your trailer...

  • How Do You Measure The Height Of An Equalizer?
The height of your equalizer is measured from the center of the horizontal mounting holes, to the center of the upper mounting hole as shown as the 2" measurement in the included diagram of the # TREQ104. If you can send me this measurement, and if you are wanting a standard or cushioned equalizer I would be happy to recommend the correct replacement for you. I included a video of the # TREQ104 for you to take a look at.

A typical 5 pin connector will be wired as follows; Green: Right turn/brake light Yellow: Left turn/brake light Brown: Tail/running lights White: Ground wire Blue: Reverse lockout If your 5 pin has 7 wires, you likely have multiple grounds, and/or multiple running light circuits. For example if your trailer harness has two white wires you can splice the two together, and likewise with the two running light wires. This way you can wire in your 5 wire 5 pin connector. • Do Trailer Suspension Equalizers Carry Weight Ratings
Trailer suspension equalizers like # TREQ104 do not carry weight ratings but they are available in many different sizes. They will handle as much weight as any springs you'll be using with them. • Best Upgrade for EQ104 Trailer Equalizer
Yes, the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System part # K71-652-00 will be a direct upgrade for the EQ104 Equalizer. The part I really like about the E-Z Flex is that in addition to the cushioned equalizer upgrade which will help smooth out the ride you get much thicker shackle straps which will be more durable and it comes with wet bolts for easy maintenance. Therefore, it's more of a complete suspension upgrade in relation to other kits that simply replace the equalizer.
