I leave the lock on my hitch 24/7/365 so it is always exposed to the weather. Truck spent a couple of months parked in seashore environment. Removed the lock a few weeks ago and had no problems. The plastic cover over the key slot seems to have protected things well. Very satisfied with the locks, couldn't ask for anything more.
BW hitches are the fest hitch on the market. Innovative design and made in America are two of the boxes I try to check when making a purchase. Hitch lock is sleek and secure.

Curious why the end was not made a bit larger in diameter - It says to lube the unit but no instructions are given or on this site.

Minus a star cause the dust flap won't stay closed.
Without a rubber pad on the “hold” end, it is harder to spin it both to unlock and to remove it.
Used on a 2023 F250 with the B&W 2.5" hitch 7" drop. Seems to lock nicely. It's a little weird getting used to with how it twist to lock with the key inserted. Not really used to that. But seems like it'll keep the hitch from being stolen. Not too big to get in the way.
This hitch lock has served me well. It doesn’t get that much use, but it’s reliable. Glad I got the stainless version.

Pin is very well made. It is rare these days for a product to exceed my expectations, but this does easily.

1 year follow up - They have been on the hitch the whole time. Still in good working order. No issues.
heavy duty and super easy to use.
Installed into receiver and fits very good. Lock operates very good and has a feel of quality.

The lock appears to be very rugged. It fit in my 2 1/2 receiver and is easy to take on and off the added dust cover and o ring will help keep the lock mechanism clean
Used for a year under medium duty use. Works as it should. Doesn't jam. Hasn't broken. Easy enough to lock & unlock.

After a year the rubber cap needs to be replaced - suggest you buy one at the same time - keep it in a sealed bag bc you WILL need one at some point
