Can Either Receiver be Used for 10K Towing Capacity of Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter
Question:
Can I tow with either the upper or lower receiver if I do not exceed the 10000lb tow capacity and the 400 lb tongue load?

If you're wanting to use the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-2 for towing a tow dolly then yes, either receiver can be used. If you're talking about towing a trailer then we need to find you a different adapter because these are only designed for flat tow situations.
An alternative solution is to use the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-404 instead. This is a much more rugged option designed for towing as it has a tow weight rating of 10,000 lbs and a tongue weight rating of 1,500 lbs. You can also orient it with the larger stack of receivers going up or down depending on your needs.
You'll need a standard pin # 325-GH-096 or locking pin # 34061072-D to secure it to your motorhome.
