What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the amp lock hitch lock. It's going to go right here on your ball mount or accessory, gonna run right through and lock on this side. That way nobody can mess with this when you're not around. Just want to show you what it looked like outside of the ball Mount.

And this is both pieces you're going to get with it. Now it does come in a couple of different sizes. The one we're working with today is two and a half or three inch hitches, but you can also get one for two inch hitches and you can also get one for inch and a quarter hitches taking a closer look at it. You can see we've got the dust cap here on the end of the tumbler lock, which this one's going to be very resistance to drilling or anybody trying to lock. They get just because the way the key works, it turns in there.

Like this. You have to do a pretty long turn there. And then the core pops out and that allows you to remove the lock. Once you pulled the pin here, you can pop it off, just like that. It's really easy to use.

And I like how sturdy it is. I mean, this is a pretty bulky lock. When you look at it, it's heavy, the feel. So it gives me confidence that people aren't gonna be a mess with this and try and break it off. And plus I think if somebody walks by and just sees it, they're not going to want to mess with it either.

So they'll just go to the next one that doesn't have one. Measurement to look out for is going to be from this pin here Right here this stops to where this starts to bend. It's going to be three and five eights of an inch. So just keep that in mind when you're looking at the lock and what you're going to use it on. Something else that sets this lock apart from the other ones, is this pin here. Now this pin is going to go through the cylinder and the pin that's in the hitch, and that's going to keep it from coming out if it's not engaged. So right now it's unlocked. So you see this part here is pushed out. So you're going to push that in to lock it. You can't pull it out. So even if you forget to push this in like that, you're still not going to have this popping out on you because of this clip. Another nice thing about it is going to be stainless steel. So you don't have to worry about it, rusting or corroding if you leave it out in the elements. So if you just leave it on your ball Mount all the time on the back of your truck, it's gonna be able to handle that just fine. It's going to come with two keys. So even if you lose one, you got an extra so good to keep one in the glove box, maybe one on your key ring, but overall, I think it's going to be a great lock. It looks heavy duty. It feels heavy duty. And that's, what's important with those plus if somebody sees it, like I said before, they're going to just move along and not mess with that.
