Fits my Forester dealer-installed 2 inch receiver perfectly with the pin (purchased separately) in the first hole. The gas tank is in the way so I can't push it in further to the second hole. It is impressively strong, so there is no problem with it extending rearward a bit, but ideally I would get a shorter hitch if I could have a do-over, just for ease of storage.

by:

Purchased to extend the trailer away from the back of the vehicle, and increase the drop. Initially could not fit in to my receiver, eventually figured out that the end of the 2" square was mushroomed, had to remove excess metal with a rotary tool. now it fits as far as the first 5/8" pin hole. No issues with use - seems sturdy, metal finish seems durable. Didn't drop the trailer tongue as much as I had hoped, but that's on me - I was probably running a 3" drop before, but I thought it was 2".

by:

Each time we go camping we look for ways to improve the experience, the C45230 will allow us run with a short or long ball mount, the longer extension allows me to open my tail gate without disconnecting from the trailer. I looked at other manufacturers but was only able to find what I was looking from CURT, and etrailer offered the best price.

by:

I recently had gotten a new tow vehicle and my 13' trailer was hooked up to and showed a lift to my hitch and back of trailer was lower. I called etrailer and talked with Cathy T who helped me with my problem. Very Satisfied with outcome.*****

by:

Curt is great equipment shouldn't have any issues with this part

Does what it should.

I havent used the hitch hardware much but I like it. The tailgate is the star. I like it a lot and the open design makes parallel parking in the city so easy. I also get a lot of questions and nice comments about the look.

by:

This drop ball mount with extension, and the accompanying pin, ball and cover, was exactly what I needed to match my 16' Scamp trailer with my 2017 Highlander Hybrid. The extension allows the tailgate to clear the electric trailer jack. A perfect solution.

Its still solving the problem perfectly.

by:

Like double length Pin holes. Have Jeep with Spare tire and need extra length to get ball past spare tire to hitch up utility trailer. When not used, use short hole so I do not walk into end of hitch.

All is good, no problems with any products. Like your web site, good prices, products stand test of time. Will use next time needed.

by:

The ball mount is what I expected, and is a good product. The only downside is that there is too much freeplay between the ball mount and the receiver. I made some shims that I adhesively bonded to the ball mount, which makes for a much better fit.

Hi Philip, Thanks for your feedback! I would recommend using the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer, part # e99007 , to help get rid of the play in the hitch.

by:

Looks good. Powder Coat came damaged. Not sure if it has been previously installed into a receiver that would cause the blemish. Farthest hole to pin center is more like 10 1/2". Not sure if I'm able to use. Really needed the 11"+ dimension.

We measure from the center of the furthest pin hole to the center of the hitch ball hole, which is where we get the 11 and 1 eighth inch measurement. Here is an extra long ball mount that we carry, Item # D-26, that measures 12 and 5 eighths inch long from center of pin hole to center of ball hole. A Customer Service representative will reach out to you about the powder coat damage.

by:

The two hole ball mount for the 2x2 hitch along with a two inch ball was delivered on promptly as promised . The ball mount and two inch ball mounted in the two inch rise position was exactly what was needed to go along with the front trailer hitch which was also purchased from etrailer to raise the coupler to the right height. Before purchasing this new coupler I had to use a screw jack to mount the trailer to the front hitch because the swivel would not go low enough. With this new ball mount I can use the swivel jack to switch between the front and rear hitches. New ball mount did a great job solving my problem, thank you very much etrailer.

by:

As advertised. Looks great, fits vehicle, and delivered on time!

by:

Exactly what I needed. My new truck had a taller tailgate that would hit my trailers lifting jack and not open all the way down. With this coupler's extended length pin option everything works fine. Construction looks very robust, finish was good, and priced reasonably.

by:

Ball mount arrived just as described ( even a day early). After consultation and and advice from Nicholas I ordered a new ball mount for my van and trailer. I was a little skeptical but took Nicholas advice and am glad I did as it gives me the drop I needed. Thanks Etrailer & Nicholas

by:

It works well. I originally bought it so I could drop my tailgate with the trailer on, but I mis-measured, so I use it when I don't need the length. Good quality, nice finish.

by:

This ball mount contacts my spare tire when slid in . Had to push hard to get pin into it Took air out of spare to proper 35 psi which helped. 2016 Silverado 1500 crew 2wd.

Perfect fit for my Expedition to keep my boat from hitting the taillights in a tight turn

I am glad you brought this up, Jim. Curt uses rounded measurements on their product stickers. For example, on this ball mount, the sticker reads that it has a four-inch or a two-inch rise. The actual measuring from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform is going to measure three and five-eighths of an inch, and the actual rise measuring from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform is going to measure two and three-eights of an inch. I hope this helps.

by:

Good quality, use for hauling, will buy again. Tom

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2016 Toyota Sienna
The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13105 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2016 Toyota Sienna. This 2 inch trailer hitch receiver has a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds and a gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500 pounds. It is custom fit for your vehicle, so there will be no drilling required during installation. I have attached an installation video on your vehicle for you to check out. • Ball Mount Recommendation for a Trailer that Needs a 1-1/4 Rise To Tow Level
If you can get the ball mount within a 1/2 inch or so of what you would need to be perfectly level you would be just fine. Since you need 1-1/4 inches of rise to tow level a 2 inch rise would be perfect since there is bound to be a bit of rear suspension sag when you hitch up to your trailer. For a ball mount then I would recommend the # C45230 and then for a hitch ball # 40038 for a 2 inch ball or part # C40007 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. I attached the help article you referenced on selecting...

  • Parts Needed to Tow Scamp Trailer with 2015 Honda CR-V
I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2015 Honda CR-V and it lists a maximum trailer weight of 1,500 pounds. Based on my research the 13 foot Scamp trailers can weigh between 1,300 and 1,600 pounds. Since this range does push and potentially exceed the limits of your CR-V I highly recommend verifying the camper's GVWR, which is the most the trailer can weigh when fully loaded, with the Scamp dealer before making a purchase. • Using Hitch Extender to Increase Turning Radius of V-Nose Trailer Towed Behind RV
The first thing you'll want to do is confirm the tongue weight of your trailer. I'll link you to an FAQ article that explains how to do this. You CAN use an extender, see link, but keep in mind an extender will lower the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50 percent. The tongue weight capacity represents the maximum amount of downward force that can safely be exerted on your hitch. If the trailer tongue weight is less than half the tongue weight capacity of the hitch, you can use...

I took a look at your owners manual and it appears that even though the hitch is rated for 400lbs tongue weight the vehicle's frame itself isn't.
