This is light weight and quite nice looking. Being unpainted it will not show scratches like a painted hitch. Since my use is on a medium size truck this exceeds the towing weight limit so it is quite strong.

by:

Aluminum ball mount, extremely nice and light!

by:

Just received my hitch. Exactly what I expected! Nice and light. Looking forward to giving it a try.

by:

Nice and lightweight! Like the look as well, and no more rust!

by:

The receiver I ordered was not a fit for my vehicle so I'll be returning this for a different configuration. Nevertheless, the hitch appears to be well made.

by:

When not in use store this light in weight hitch under my truck’s back sit and no rusting is a plus.

  • 3 Inch Rise/4 Inch Drop Ball Mount for Curt C40047 RockerBall Trailer Ball
The Curt # C84WR is 2-3/4 inches wide at the ball platform, so it won't work with your # C40047 Curt RockerBall. This being said, we do offer a ball mount with a similar rise/drop with a 1 inch diameter ball hole that would work. I'd recommend the Draw-Tite # 2753 which has a 7500 lb capacity, a 2-3/4 inch rise or a 3 inch drop.

  • Is the 8K Capacity of the Curt Ball Mount 3" Rise/4" Drop for 2" Hitches for Both Rise and Drop
The Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches part # C84WR has an 8,000 lb weight capacity which is for both rise and drop positions. In regards to fit, this will vary by receiver, some are tighter than others and some are looser. It comes down to both the hitch side and ball mount side. That said, if you're worried about rattle you can add an anti-rattle like the Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp for 2" Hitches part # C27UR.

  • Ball Mount Option for 2-inch Receiver on 2022 Volvo V60 Cross Country
Although we don't have a ball mount that offers the exact rise and length you mention, we offer an option that can get really close. The Curt # C84WR aluminum ball mount offers a 3 inch rise and is 8-1/2 inches long, measured from center hitch pin hole to the center of the hole where the ball attaches. The fact that the ball mount is 1/3 of an inch less in rise and 3-1/2 inches longer than what you're looking for shouldn't cause any problems. The ball mount doesn't include a hitch pin....

  • Is Aluminum Ball Mount Compatible With Stainless Steel Hitch Ball For 2 Inch Hitch
Yes, you can absolutely use an aluminum ball mount with a stainless steel hitch ball without worry of the ball mount corroding. In fact, there are no aluminum hitch balls so manufacturers suggest the use of stainless steel as it is going to be the best option work in conjunction with an aluminum ball mount. So what you will need depends on the rise or drop your trailer requires: - 1" Rise, 2" Drop: Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C74WR - 3" Rise, 4" Drop: Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches...

  • Recommended Ball Mount For Towing UHaul Trailer with 2010 Subaru Outback
It sounds like the trailer you're towing from Uhaul has a coupler height of 18-1/2" to 18-3/4", which is likely what they're referring to when they're talking about optimal height. There are a lot of factors that affect the height of the hitch on your vehicle in relation to the ground but typically we've found that when the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76227 sits 15-16" from the top of the receiver to the ground. You'll want to measure once...

  • Recommended Ball Mount For A 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon Towing A Yakima Rack And Roll Trailer
On the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer - 66" # Y08106 the height from the ground to the top of the inside of the coupler where the ball sits is 22 inches so then from the bottom of the coupler lip to the ground measures 20 inches when the trailer sits level. So if you are looking to pick out a ball mount to use with this trailer you'll want to measure from the ground to the top of the hitch opening and whatever the difference between what that dimension is and 20 is the rise/drop you need....

  • Ball Mount For Curt Hitch on 2019 Honda Odyssey For 4x8 U-Haul Trailer
We can definitely help you get exactly what you need to tow a 4 x 8 U-Haul trailer with your 2019 Honda Odyssey and the Curt Hitch # C64NR. According to U-Haul, their coupler height is 18 inches, and when we installed this Curt hitch on a 2019 Odyssey we found that the distance from the ground to the top of the receiver was 14-1/2 inches. So you'll need a ball mount with approximately 3-1/2 inches of rise, though you can go within an inch or so either way without any issue. There is an...
