Pull Cable for Easy Dumping

This cable-actuated RV waste tank valve has a 36" long cable, allowing you to easily open and close the valve even when it is positioned in a hard-to-reach location. Simply install the valve between your RV's sewer pipes and mount the handle on the end of the cable in a convenient, easy-to-access place.

Pulling Valve Cable and Black Handle

When you're ready to dump your black-water tank, just pull the handle to open the valve. And when you're finished dumping, just push the handle back in to close the valve. No need to crawl under your RV to access the valve itself.

Replacing Your RV Waste Valve

Before getting started on the installation, you'll want to empty your RV's black-water tank and flush out the sewer pipes. This will help to ensure that your working environment is as clean as possible.

This waste valve is designed to replace your existing valve, which should have a hub end and a spigot end. After removing the old valve and flanges, lightly coat the outside of the new valve's spigot and the inside of its hub with ABS solvent cement (sold separately). Do the same with the open ends of your RV's sewer pipe. Then, insert the smaller spigot end of the valve into your 3" pipe, and slide the larger hub end over the pipe on the opposite side.

In needing to replace the Black tank valve in my 2019 Grand Design Imagine, I contacted etrailer to order the part. They were so helpful in getting me the correct parts in excellent timing. If any further parts are needed, I will definitely call them for advice as well as parts needed. Thank You for prompt service as well as advice.

by:

I installed this cable valve in a 1999 Ford E350 ambulance camper conversion last year on the grey water tank drain. I often venture off-pavement and needed to mount the drain as high up as possible to keep it safe, but still wanted easy access to the dump valve. I'd never seen one of these before, but as soon as I saw it, I knew it was the solution! I mounted the pull handle inside one of the exterior storage storage compartments, so it is also well protected.

This is the OEM drop in replacement for my 2017 Grand Design Imagine 2600rb trailer. It comes with fittings to glue onto your pipes; I removed and discarded them; the flanges on the trailers piping exactly match this valve. I did find the screws that come with it are too short. They are 1/4 x 20 x 1.5" long. You need at least 2" screws and 2.25" would be best. I tried replacing this valve (due to me damaging it) with the Valterra valve (less $$) as I thought I could cut that cable to exact length thus making the pull smoother. That did not work out. I cannot get the allen set screw to hold the cable tight enough. So I am back to OEM as this cable does NOT separate from valve and the 36" cable is pretty much the exact length I need anyway. As a tip, replace this at same time as other valves so you can loosen all valves and it gives just enough slack in pipe to move out of the way and slide the new one in.

by:

Fast shipping and the right part.

by:

Has worked perfect for over a year now. Easy install. If for your black tank like mine was, flush your tank really well during dump and leave the valve open for a few days to let the tank dry.

by:

Fonctionne encore très bien

Second order. Hot water tank first. Fast shipping. Great products. Definitely reccomend.

  • Replacement Black Water Tank valve for 2013 Arctic Fox
If the sewer line you have is a 3 inch sewer line that slips into the both sides of the valve you have now the part # 34466N4BB72GM will fit and work well. You will need to use ABS solvent like # 3447530889 to install it as well. If instead one side fits into the valve and the other fits over you'd want the part # 34466N4AB36GM.

  • Replacing the Blackwater Waste Valve and Cable on a 2018 Heartland RV Bighorn Fifth Wheel
If you're looking to replace your blackwater waste valve and cable, then I recommend going with an actuated cable valve. For these, LaSalle Bristol offers two options while Valterra offers none. Which of the two Bristols you choose will depend on your current setup. The first, part # 34466N4BB72GM, has a 72" cable and a spigot to spigot connection. The second, part # 34466N4AB36GM, has a 36" cable and a spigot to hub connection. You will need to review your setup to find which connection...

  • Replacement Cable Actuated Waste Valve Options For A 2011 Keystone Montana High Country 5th Wheel
Determining the correct replacement for your old waste valves is going to depend on the brand and length of your current cables. If you have Valterra branded valves you could reuse the cables you have and avoid rerouting new cables. You could simply pick the least costly option for the black # TC372 and gray # TC172 valves and just hang onto the new cables. You can remove the four bolts holding your old valves in place and then swap in the new valves so you can void having to cut or glue...

  • Can Gate Valves Be Replaced Without Cutting And Gluing In New Fittings
The LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve # 34466N4AB36GM will come with gaskets in between the valve and spigot/hub fittings, which I do recommend swapping over as well as these are the most easily worn components. Doing the install this way prevents the need to cut and glue in any fittings and is honestly way less time consuming. You won't need either hub or spigot fitting since the gate valve is the only thing you're swapping in so it doesn't really matter. We unfortunately...

While I won't be able to tell you the exact length cable you'll need I can help point you in the right direction. The first step is going to be to figure out exactly how your current valve is mounted so that you can remove it and choose the correct replacement. The LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank # 34466N4AB36GM you were looking at is a Spigot to Hub design. It depends on what type of waste valve you currently have. If you have a different brand or you aren't able to swap out the valve body then you will need to replace it with the hub and spigot ends like part # 34466N11AB36GM or # 34466N4AB36GM respectively.
