Determining The Correct Length Cable Actuator For A Black Tank Waste Valve

Question:

I have a 2016 Voltage Dutchman 4150 5th wheel. What dump valve do I need for my rear garage black tank? 36 or 96 length or different? Thank you,

While I won't be able to tell you the exact length cable you'll need I can help point you in the right direction. The first step is going to be to figure out exactly how your current valve is mounted so that you can remove it and choose the correct replacement.

The LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank # 34466N4AB36GM you were looking at is a Spigot to Hub design. The spigot end with sit inside of a hub and the hub end with sit over a pipe. The hub and spigot fittings on this valve can be unbolted from the valve allowing you to bolt it into your system if your current valve is bolt in instead of glued in.

There are spigot to spigot options like the # 34466N4BB96GM as well if you aren't able to just unbolt and bolt in the new valve.

As for the length of the actuator cable you will need to measure from where your current valve is to where you would like to mount the handle.
