Pull Cable for Easy Dumping

This cable-actuated RV waste tank valve has a 72" long cable, allowing you to easily open and close the valve even when it is positioned in a hard-to-reach location. Simply install the valve between your RV's sewer pipes and mount the handle on the end of the cable in a convenient, easy-to-access place.

Pulling Valve Cable and Black Handle

When you're ready to dump your black-water tank, just pull the handle to open the valve. And when you're finished dumping, just push the handle back in to close the valve. No need to crawl under your RV to access the valve itself.

Replacing Your RV Waste Valve

Before getting started on the installation, you'll want to empty your RV's black-water tank and flush out the sewer pipes. This will help to ensure that your working environment is as clean as possible.

This waste valve is designed to replace your existing valve, which should have 2 spigot ends. After removing the old valve and flanges, lightly coat the outsides of the new valve's spigots with ABS solvent cement (sold separately). Do the same with the insides of the open ends of your RV's sewer pipe. Then slide the ends of the valve into your 3" pipe.

Replaced valve on my A-line 5th wheel, works great....

by:

I called DRV to see what black tank valve was originally installed in our Mobile Suites 5th wheel RV - they told me LaSalle Bristol. Since these RV black tank valves are all 3" size and etrailer had a Valtera brand that was a little less expensive I initially (and too quickly) ordered the Valtera. After placing this order I took more time to more closely inspect the LaSalle Bristol and compare it to the Valtera and determined the shape of the sliding valve blade and large, solid wire actuator cable to be a better design. I contacted etrailer shortly after to change my order to this LaSalle Bristol valve. Allison (etrailer customer service rep) was VERY helpful in getting this part ordered and canceled the Valtera order - she took charge, made the order change and made it happen correctly. I received the LaSalle Bristol valve and was impressed with the design - I believe it should be more reliable and a longer lasting valve. Thank you etrailer and Allison.

  • Does the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve Include the Hardware to Attach the Handle
The LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve part # 34466N4BB72GM comes with everything that you need to attach it to the factory handle holding tab. You will need to reuse the bolts that hold the valve in place in the waste pipe (or glue it in your current location) and the bracket that held you original handle in place. Everything else is provided. Generally it is easier to disassemble the valve body and place the new valve in the old parts attached to the sewer pipe.

  • Troubleshooting An RV Black Tank Waste Valve That Won't Open
If the cable on your LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve # 34466N4BB72GM is moving but the valve is not opening then it has been disconnected internally from the valve stopper. You are most likely going to need to cut into the stopper housing to pull it back to avoid a mess while trying to dump the black tank. You'll then need to replace the valve with a new waste valve.

  • Replacing the Blackwater Waste Valve and Cable on a 2018 Heartland RV Bighorn Fifth Wheel
If you're looking to replace your blackwater waste valve and cable, then I recommend going with an actuated cable valve. For these, LaSalle Bristol offers two options while Valterra offers none. Which of the two Bristols you choose will depend on your current setup. The first, part # 34466N4BB72GM, has a 72" cable and a spigot to spigot connection. The second, part # 34466N4AB36GM, has a 36" cable and a spigot to hub connection. You will need to review your setup to find which connection...

  • Replacement Black Water Tank valve for 2013 Arctic Fox
If the sewer line you have is a 3 inch sewer line that slips into the both sides of the valve you have now the part # 34466N4BB72GM will fit and work well. You will need to use ABS solvent like # 3447530889 to install it as well. If instead one side fits into the valve and the other fits over you'd want the part # 34466N4AB36GM.

  • Recommended Replacement LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valves
For gray water tank and 6' cable pull. I recommend the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Gray Water Tank, # 34466N11AB72GMA. And yes, if replacing one waste valve I suggest doing the other too. For the black tank of same type valve, I suggest the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve - Black Water Tank - Spigot to Spigot - 72" Cable, # 34466N4BB72GM.

  • Replacement Cable & Handle for LaSalle Bristol Waste Valve
I reached out to my contact at LaSalle Bristol regarding the LaSalle Bristol # 34466N4BB72GM waste valve that you referenced and they said that they do not have just a replacement cable for that item. However, I think that you could use the Valterra # TC72PB cable for this.

  • Can the Valterra Waste Valve with Cable For Black Tanks Be Used In Place of a LaSalle Bristol
Yes, you can swap out the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve part # 34466N4BB72GM that you have for the Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable part # TC372. The swap will be a direct, bolt-on replacement as you can reuse the spigot flanges that you have now with the above Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable.

  • Replacement Waste Valves Sized 1-1/2" and 3" With 72" Cables
The Valterra # TC1372 kit that has both a 1-1/2" replacement valve and a 3" valve, both with 72" flexible cables, and new seals. Should have all the parts that you need. If you feel they will be a better match, we have the 3" Bristol # 34466N4BB72GM valve with cable, but not 1-1/2" with cable in Bristol brand.

  • Replacing Both 3” RV Black Water and Gray Water Valves Each With 72” Cables
The valves you are seeking to replace are made by many different manufacturers and are a standard size. The function of the valve is what you want to pay attention to as there are T-handle and cable options and then of course black water versus gray water as well as different diameters for those gray water applications. For your 3 inch valve, the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve - Black Water Tank - Spigot to Spigot - 72" Cable # 34466N4BB72GM will work well for you and...

  • Replacement Cable Actuated Waste Valve Options For A 2011 Keystone Montana High Country 5th Wheel
Determining the correct replacement for your old waste valves is going to depend on the brand and length of your current cables. If you have Valterra branded valves you could reuse the cables you have and avoid rerouting new cables. You could simply pick the least costly option for the black # TC372 and gray # TC172 valves and just hang onto the new cables. You can remove the four bolts holding your old valves in place and then swap in the new valves so you can void having to cut or glue...
