Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra RV waste valve. This unit simply adds or replaces a waste valve in your RV's waste system. It's made from a strong and durable black plastic construction. It does come with an end cap right here for the drain outlet. The cap is tethered to the unit so you don't worry about accidentally losing that or misplacing it. The cap's going to have the appropriate seal to create a nice tight connection point to keep anything from seeping out. This right here is going to be your bayonet hub fitting or hub connection.
This will accept your standard 3 inch diameter drain hose with a bayonet style fitting. Four pin design, so it will accept bayonet style fittings with either a two hook or four hook design. The cap that it comes with is going to have a two hook design. The other side is going to feature a 3 inch spigot. If we take a measure of the outer diameter it's going to measure 3 and 1/2, inner diameter's right on 3 inches. The unit also feature the easily accessible T handle. Makes opening and closing the gate quick and easy.
This is a 3 inch blade X valve. You're going to see here, opens and closes. The unit is already assembled and has the appropriate seals installed for leak proof performance. A few measurements I just want to go over with you real quick. If you measure this direction, bottom to top with the handle in the closed position, this is going to give us a measurement of right around 9 and 1/2 inches and then if we move the handle to the open position, overall length measurement, looks like it's going to be a little bit closer to 13 inches long. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra RV waste valve..

Awesome product and this is what every rver need, I have since sold the 5th wheel I install it on but when I bought another 5th wheel I purchase another one.

The item was exactly what I needed to upgrade the sewer system on my camper. If I was given the chance to rate etrailer shipping I would struggle to give one star. I ordered on 5/18 and immediately got feedback that the order was received and in stock. No movement for about ten days and the item was finally picked up by UPS on 5/31. Totally dissatisfied with this part if the transaction.
I was delighted to so easily locate the replacement part I needed for my campervan.
Easy process of finding the product on the site (by Brand name), placing the order, and receiving the package promptly with a brand new part showing no usage or wear.
I hope etrailer is around for many more years!
Replaced the sewer hook up with this because my black tank valve was allowing waste to pass and I'd get a nice stinky surprise when opening the waste cap to dump. Replacement of the black valve was too difficult and expensive... This allows me to hook up the hose and then open this valve first before opening the waste valves. No more stinky surprise!
Selection of the correct pipe connect end was a bit confusing but this one was correct to connect via an external sleeve. I opted for a rubber collar with hose clamps for ease of installation, worked out fine. No more leak!

I am very pleased with etrailer. The products that I have purchased from them have been exactly as described.
Hanger strap on my Rpod broke. This is a common problem as the strap is not much thicker than tinfoil. The valve was torn up as it scraped on the road. This replacement was easy to do and works fine.
Great item to control accidental spillage and the extra length made hookup of the sewer hose easier.
Quality built and will see if it works once I get the part that goes with it... had to pay xx shipping to get the other product in time from etrailer. What would you think?
We have had this item for over a year now on our food trailer that is used everyday and we have never had any problems with this item I recommend this to anyone.
