RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer Reversible Door

Versatility makes this fridge a great choice for your RV. Reversible doors give you increased flexibility when installing your fridge. If you don't like the way it opens, and you have the space, you can change it to open the other way. The mounting brackets are included, so even if you decide to put this in a different RV, you have that option. And you can adjust the shelves to make room for extra ingredients for your home-cooked meals. The travel lock keeps the doors closed regardless of how you install them, so you don't have to worry while you move on down the road.

RV Fridge Replacement

It doesn't matter if you are replacing your non-working refrigerator or are just ready for an upgrade for your RV kitchen, you have a few things to consider before making that purchase. Most original RV refrigerators use propane for absorption cooling, while this Everchill model uses 12V DC hooked to your RV's battery. Absorption refrigerators can be hard to fix, don't have a dedicated defrost cycle, and take a long time to cool down, but they run on propane which is great when you don't have electricity.

The 12V refrigerators require little maintenance, most have an auto defrost cycle, and they can cool in as little as 1 hour. They're also safer because they use a compressor instead of propane, which allows it to cool down 4 times faster while avoiding safety risks associated with propane such as fires, gas leaks, and explosions. The downside is that you must have the proper battery bank or invest in solar. If you don't, you could drain your batteries in as little as 1 night of dry camping.

Just finished the install. Refrigerator arrived in pristine condition, 3 days earlier than expected. If you’re replacing an absorption refrigerator with this Everchill you will be amazed at how much more room you have in this one. I’ll return at the end of this years camping season with a much better review after I’ve used it for a while. The install was a breeze….!

Shipping was delayed by a week due to a second item being ordered at the same time being out of stock/backordered. Called Alex who got the order split into two while ending up paying for shipping on the second item. Then the shipping company delays delivery by two days. The item on back order ended up arriving BEFORE the fridge - go figure. I was on a tight timeline due to having to replace the original failed absorption fridge and do custom cabinet work to make the installation look acceptable as we have a major trip planned with departure on August 15 and couldn't be without a fridge. Fortunately, I was able to get things done in time and with acceptable results. The fridge has been up and running with no problems. Time will tell how a 12 volt refrigerator holds up. I'll let you know in a year.

by:

They were very fast and efficient. No problems what so ever. I would recommend them to anyone..

by:

Our package came fast and was as expected. Excellent job etrailer!

This replaced a smaller fridge that quit rught after the 2year warranty had exspired,so far this one has worked great. The freezer keeps the food froze & the fridge had ice in some of our cold drinks on setting #3.we are pleased with its performace.

Interpretation of the first customer rep. I talk to he did not tell me that these refrigerators were on back order when I called back to him to place the order Jessy did not return my phone call in a couple of days. I kept on trying to get him so I call back I went with.Justin at that time I found out that it was on back order took quite a while to get it. Juston kept me informed throughout the delays and refrigerator. Got here today safe and sound.

This refrigerator is a total piece of junk. We bought it and installed it for a 2 week trip last summer (2021). We made the trip fine but that was our only trip with the frig until this spring (2022). We loaned the trailer with the refrigerator to our son to use for a job away from home. The refrigerator worked approximately one week before the freezer wouldn't cool. A week later, the refrigerator section also failed. The refrigerator had a 1 year warranty but the trailer is 600 miles from where we live and I did not have time to go remove the refrigerator from the trailer. Instead, he purchased a 110V refrigerator from [hardware store] that works great. When I finally get time to go to the trailer, I will remove the Everchill garbage and put the 110V $xxx frig in its place.

First thing I would check is that your outlet has enough amperage to power the fridge at 12VDC. If you are hooked up to a battery, then make sure that it has a full charge and that it has at least 11 amps available to run this fridge as that is the amperage it pulls. It is also important to be as level as possible to avoid fluid accumulation that can affect its operation. I also recommend unplugging the unit and leaving the doors open to allow any ice to defrost. Clean out the drain tube by removing the back panel and using a long tube brush to clean the tube. If these steps do not fix the issue then you most likely have a control module or thermostat issue and will need to contact Way Interglobal for replacement parts.

I did my research on this RV refrigerator, found it in several places. The more I looked JD from BTBRV ALWAYS crowing about ETRAILER'S great service and this was a big purchase! I called to ask the usual questions and was lucky to have Paul answer the call! He gave me is ext. and always answered my call! I installed the refrigerator myself with youtube help! Wife gives it 20 STARS! THANKS to all at ETRAILER!

by:

Awesome refrigerator! Gets super cold and uses next to no power. I highly recommend this Everchill R.V Refrigerator!

by:

Unit was purchased to replace a brand new N8X Norcold absorption unit. It fit perfectly in the cutout. Our RV door opening is 24 inches wide and it fit with no problem. I just had to run a power wire with fusible link from the battery to the unit. At initial start up it was 80 degrees outside and it took less than 2 hours to get down to 32 degrees in the refrigerator. Very satisfied with product. Mounting brackets did not come with hardware. This is the new model so it does have an on/off switch.

by:

After the "damaged in shipping" range showed up 2 days ago, I was nervous. But the fridge came boxed well and damage free! I am looking forward to getting it installed. I am gaining 2 CF of space inside by switching to a 12V.. Oh yeah, and the damaged range is being taken care of by etrailer (another 5 star)

by:

Love this fridge!I have been able to maintain my RV batteries (2x6volt) with 400 watts of solar pannels for 15 days. I can turn the fridge on a few hours before I need to use it. The fridge I replaced (Dometic Fridge: RM2652) needed to be turned on the day before. This new fridge capacity is almost 2x bigger.

by:

Our RV Refrigerator was delivered today. The box looked undamaged so we signed for it. I opened the box and found alot of damage.

Very quiet and works well. Thank you for the fast delivery.

Works great. Colder than propane fridges. Fridge automatically turns on when power is applied. Only runs off electricity.

Shipping was reasonably quick and product seems undamaged. But it is missing any kind of instructions or manuals.

Check the defrost drain for clogs or dirt or debris as that is the most common reason for leaks. You might even turn the fridge off to defrost it and the drain line to see if it will unclog and start draining properly. Also, try lowering the temperature setting of your fridge as well.

by:

We bought this refrigerator one year ago and it has performed flawlessly. The refrigerator stays cold and the freezer will make ice cubes quickly. We couldn't be happier with this purchase.

by:

Beautiful and spacious RV refrigerator. Plugged it in and in about an hour, the freezer was at zero and the refrigerator at 32 degrees.

by:

  • Troubleshooting New Everchill 324-000119 RV Refrigerator Not Getting Cold
According to Everchill, the first and most important thing you'll want to do is check that it's receiving a full 12V of power. If it's not getting enough power, the lights may work, but there won't be enough power to cycle the compressor. This is typically the issue in cases like this. The refrigerator is covered by a 1 year warranty.

  • Does Everchill Refrigerator # 324-000119 Require Outside Venting and Will it Replace Dometic Fridge
Electric refrigerators like the Everchill Refrigerator for RVs # 324-000119 that you referenced do require air flow but they do not need to vent to the outside of the RV/house. You can mount it against a toy hauler garage wall like you mentioned but the back vents need a few inches of space to properly vent. I looked up the dimensions of a Dometic RV fridge with 8 cubic feet of storage space and it measures 26 inches deep, 61 inches tall, and 24-7/8 inches wide. Based on that the Everchill...

  • Everchill Refrigerator for RVs Will Not Get Cold
First you want to make sure the refrigerator portion of the Everchill Refrigerator part # 324-000119 has the temperature control setting turned down. Another thing to check is to make sure the refrigerator is getting full 12V power from the power source in the River Lacrosse. Check to see the 12V battery is not drained. If the temperature control is turned down and the power source is good, you may want to take it to technician.

  • Why Does Fridge Still Work When Camper Isnt Plugged in
Anything that draws power from the trailer battery will run down the trailer battery when the camper is not connected to the tow vehicle battery. Some applications, like the Everchill Refrigerator # 324-000119, may require less power to run but they will drain your trailer battery given enough time. Since tow vehicle and trailer wiring configurations vary there could be other explanations as well but that would require some digging into what you have.

  • How Level Should Everchill RV Refrigerator Be in Trailer
Just like a standard household refrigerator, the Everchill RV Refrigerator # 324-000119 that you referenced should be as level as possible to avoid fluid accumulation that can affect its operation. Refrigerators like this one should be within 3 degrees off level side-to-side and 6 degrees off level front-to-back. The first thing to check is the door gasket to ensure it is sealing properly and that you aren't just seeing a bunch of condensation build up. If that is good then move onto the drain tube. The drain tube is mostly white and made of rubber so it should be easy to tell it apart. Look at the end of the...

The Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer # 324-000119 is more like a residential refrigerator in it only requires power to run.
