Video Transcript for etrailer and Ram 5th Wheel Landing Gear Replacement Crank Handle Review

John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Replacement Hand Crank for the etrailer.com Landing Gear Set. As I said, it's a replacement hand crank here, so you're going to fit it on the end of your landing gear. This is going to be used for if you don't have the electric gear motor here, or maybe you're at the campsite and you've lost power. This still allows you to operate your landing gear and raise and lower it.It's going to feature a nice long handle, which helps give us some more torque. This landing gear is rated for 8,000 pounds, so depending on your trailer it might be a little more difficult to raise and lower the legs.

As you can see, the grips here, they spin freely, which allows for easier operation of the landing gear. It has a nice clear zinc coated finish which helps prevent rust and corrosion. One thing I would like to point out, a common question I've gotten from customers is whether they can use this with other landing gear sets. It kind of depends. There is no standard dimensions for this fitting, and so your best bet is to just get the exact replacement for your landing gear set. That'll complete our look at the Replacement Handle here for the etrailer.com Landing Gear.

Thanks for watching.

Easy to order and works great on my camper. One of the electric jacks won’t work so it was truly needed. Thank you!

by:

Just as described.

by:

Fit properly. Good quality for the money. I suggest you offer a replacement roll pin or a conversion to a3/4 “ socket. Thank you

by:

Exactly what I needed with fast delivery

by:

Ideal for my application

by:

awesome products, awesome prices and awesome service

by:

Ordering these was a no brainer for our oversized Toy Hauler, the capacity rating was almost double and the physical dimensions were exact replacements for the worn out originals. It only took about an hour start to finish on the install for me to do by myself. I couldn't be happier that I can now raise and lower the trailer via the switch again!

by:

Received in good order, Thank you...

by:

Perfect replacement for my bent one.

by:

Recieved the product and have installed half of it,got the unit in today looks good ,works well.

by:

Great value! I actually got this to use with a military trailer that was missing the handle to crank the jack up & down. Much cheaper than finding the surplus part.

by:

I purchased this handle along with new landing gear, but it didn't actually work. My camper has a smaller guide tube that this handle won't fit inside. The old handle worked fine, my mistake. The new handle is also longer. It is good quality and nicer than my old one. I am happy with the purchase, and I can use it on something else, but I didn't need to buy it.

by:

Product is as described and is of good quality. I bought it as a (replacement) backup for the electrically operated legs on my fifth wheel.

by:

Exactly what we needed, great product, delivered fast!

by:

Great product. Took less than an hour to replace the old landing gear with the etrailer brand. Was a direct replacement with no problems. Shipping was fast.

by:

Works very well for my application (military trailer).

by:

Pretty easy install and lifts my heavy toyhauler easier

by:

It came faster than I thought it would. Haven't tried it yet. But from what I have learned it is exactly what we need to open up our pop outs. Thank you for such fast delivery.

I don't have any way of determining if the Replacement Crank Handle for etrailer and Ram 5th Wheel Landing Gear # RVLG-HDL will work with your 2007 Fleetwood Nitrous Hyperlite TT Toy Hauler or not, unfortunately. • Can the Gear Box on the Landing Gear Set RVLG-8000 Be Turned
The gearbox on the Landing Gear Set part # RVLG-8000 can be rotated 90 degrees so that the drive shaft is positioned in front of the leg. That said, you will need to make sure you have adequate clearance to make a full rotation on the handle. The actual handle is not included either so if you don't have one you will also need the Replacement Crank Handle part # RVLG-HDL.

  • How to Determine Correct Landing Gear For 2021 Coachmen Chaparral Lite
While we don't have any way of knowing the specific landing gear that fits a 2021 Coachmen Chaparral Lite, I can tell you how to determine if you can use the Landing Gear Set # RVLG-8000. All you will need to do is measure the distance between your current mounting brackets, which should have the standard dimensions of 17-1/2 inches. The 8,000 lb capacity will be more than enough, so just be sure 36-1/2 inches is the appropriate amount of lift. Then for a crank handle use part # RVLG-HDL.

I can tell you how to determine if the Landing Gear Set # RVLG-8000 will fit your 2007 Dutchman Colorado 5th wheel, though landing gear is a universal type of fit, and there isn't landing gear that is a specified fit. It's pretty easy to determine though, as all you will need to do is measure the distance between the mounting brackets on your Colorado as shown in the diagram. The only difference between the Replacement Crank Handle for etrailer and Ram 5th Wheel Landing Gear # RVLG-8HDL that you mentioned, and the Landing Gear Set # RVLG-8000 is that # RVLG-8HDL comes with the handle, whereas if you were to go with # RVLG-8000 you'd need to purchase the handle separate with # RVLG-HDL. • Troubleshooting Atwood Landing Gear Leg That Doesnt Move
It sounds like the screw itself is damaged if the motor and gears are turning but the leg isn't moving. Atwood no longer is in the 5th wheel landing gear business so I recommend replacing your landing gear completely. The reason you would need to change out your whole set is because both legs need to move at the same ratio so that your trailer raises and lowers evenly on both sides. Since replacement parts are already becoming scarce for Atwood landing gear it would be better in the long...
