Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Replacement Emergency Manual Jack Handle for Ram or etrailer Electric Jacks. Electric jacks are great because they're super easy to use at just the push of a button, but they are powered by 12 volt batteries and sometimes batteries aren't always working properly, so we still need to make sure we can hook up to our trailer, and that's where the manual jack handle comes in place. Now, when you pick up a Ram or etrailer powered jack, it's gonna come with one, but if you bought this second hand, or maybe you've misplaced this, you can pick this up and that's gonna allow you to take your cap off and manually adjust this up and down. That way, we can still hook up our trailer and hit the road. It's pretty simple, it's just got a nice two bend to it, so that way, you can really get some good crank on it.
Now, this is just a three eighth socket essentially attached to it. So yes, you can use a ratchet, but again, this is just gonna be a little bit easier and better, just from a ergonomic standpoint, to be able to really raise this up. What's nice too, if you wanna pick up an extra one, if you have multiple vehicles that tow the same trailer, maybe some work trucks, you can put this in each vehicle, and that way, if they're ever in a pickle and you're not there to be able to bring yours, you can say, "Hey, grab your extra spare tool." And that way, they can still use the jack. If you originally had one of these and lost it, and a little tip that I found is there is a hole at the end, and this is just like a half inch pin in clip. So if you have a hole that this can slide in, you can then put a cotter pin in place and stow this somewhere, that way you have it handy for the next time.
So whether you're replacing a lost one or you just need to pick one up because your trailer came with this, it's nice to have this in emergencies. So this could be the difference of being able to hook up to your trailer or not. So not bad to pick up an extra.

Great! Manual crank handle for RAM electric tongue jack. I had ordered one from another vendor and it didn’t fit. We are going camping in two days and the battery on our travel trailer was dead. This one was shipped out on the same day that I ordered it and I just tested it and it worked great!

everything was just thrown together in a box-tail light fixtures-several plastic lenses-2 metal jack handles-plastic and jack handles do not mix well together-very poor packaging

It works great! In January I was leaving for Florida. It was 3 degrees Fahrenheit, and my camper battery was dead. Luckily I had this tool to raise and lower the hitch manually, so my trip was not delayed at all.
