What's goin' on, everybody Today, we're gonna be takin' a look at the Stromberg Carlson crank handle. So, this is gonna be for your scissor jacks. It can be for your Stromberg Carlson scissor jacks, or it could be for another brand. Doesn't really matter, all you really need to know is that this is gonna be a three quarter inch socket, or a 19 millimeter size. It's right here. Let me put this on.
And this is just gonna help us retract the stabilizers, so we can stabilize our camper. And the cool thing about this too, you don't need gloves, because we have two different types of loose rubber parts right here and here. So, we're not gonna have to worry about wearing gloves, and we also don't have to worry about getting blisters. So, it's nice that they throw that in, some of 'em don't have that. And it just sits there and kinda rotates in your hand, and you can't do it near as quick.
And I don't enjoy stabilizing campers. I just like a camper that doesn't really move. So, this is gonna make that job a little bit quicker, so you can unpack and just enjoy the trip wherever you may be. We're at another camper, and we have a different type of jack, let's see if it works. Which it does.
And I can't tell if it's the Stromberg or not because the sticker is completely off of it. I don't know what it says. But it doesn't really look like it. So, that just proves the point that you don't have to have a Stromberg Carlson jack to buy this product. But this is something that you kinda need, 'cause you really don't wanna use power tools with these.
What sets this one apart from some of the others, some of the others do not have this nice little coating on it. And that color signifies that it is zinc coated. So, it's gonna be a little bit stronger and rust away not near as fast as some of the other ones. I think this is gonna outlast your campers, honestly. And not even outlast your jacks, but when it comes to size, it's about 25 and 1/2 inches. So, it's really easy to just slide it in there, and store it away without really having to find a massive space to put it. And that's pretty much it for a look at the Stromberg Carlson scissor jack crank handle..

This is the only jack I have found suitable for changing flat tires on my utility trailer.

Please be advised that the above item fits the scissor jacks fine BUT it does NOT fit the tongue jack at all. The Stromberg Carlson tongue jack is a different size and shape. However we will keep the crank handle as we can use an extra scissor jack. Nonetheless, it was a disappointment.

The quality of the 3/4 inch hex socket is sufficient and provides a snug fit onto the crank bolt of the Stromberg Carlson trailer jack. I'm also happy with craftsmanship of the weld used to affix the socket to the hand crank. The loose-fitting rubber sleeve that is provided with the hand crank is a little "cheezy" but I'm sure it will live up to its purpose.

After one year, my jacks are still performing as well as the day I installed them. They will not lift my trailer off the ground, but in conjunction with locking chocks and leveling blocks, my trailer is very stable. They do require periodic lubrication to keep them loose, quiet, and rust-free. Im very happy with them and would highly recommend them to other trailer owners.

I recently purchased 4 Stromberg Carlson Scissor Jacks and the handle to replace the ones on my 1986 Jayco J 24.5 camper. The holes match up with the ones in the frame and they are an easy install. The handle is adequate length and makes raising and lowering the jacks a snap. The price of the jacks and the handle were better than on other websites I browsed for these items and etrailer.com had free shipping for orders over $100.00. To top that off they bettered the delivery date to 3 days. I'll be looking at their site for more of my camping trailer parts.

The product is fine but I am seriously considering returning it. The product is made in china and I avoid buying products from this country. I am unhappy with etrailer because they did not acknowledge this within their product information.

Bought 2 to have a spare. These look very solid as compared to what came with my camper. I have not had a chance to use it yet but it is obvious these are heavy duty. Bought a swivel head crank handle last year from another store and it broke the first use. These definitely look like they will perform as expected. Shopping at etrailer is always a pleasure and their merchandise is trusted top quality.
