Atwood Landing Gear Replacement for 36 Long Landing Gear

Question:

I require a lead leg for my 5th wheel. It’s an Atwood product and I understand that Lippert has bought them out. The leg is 36” long and 2 1/2” diameter. I’m unable to find one

To replace the Atwood landing gear on your 5th wheel trailer you will need to measure the distance between your weld stops. This is typically 15-1/2" on the inside and 17-1/2" on the outside (see attached photo). We do have replacement options but since Atwood is no longer in the landing gear business you need to replace your whole landing gear set to ensure that the gear ratio and strengths are the same.

If your weld stop locations match the picture then I recommend using the 8,000 lb Landing Gear Set # RVLG-8000. These feature a retracted height of 32-3/4" and an extended height of 53-1/4". For a manual crank use part # RVLG-HDL but if you would like to add a motor use part # LC142178.
