Had to send the first kit back because the flares were mostly junk. Second kit was much better. We used most of it, but the screws broke so we got others from Lowes. The clamps were plastic which I didn't care for so I got plastic coated metal ones from NAPA. The hoses and fittings were decent. And some of the fittings were not readily available. So all in all, I'd buy it again.

Still would buy again, but no availability for replacement parts is a bit frustrating. Have to go to Amazon for those.

This has plenty of extra tubing for my 30 foot triple axle trailer. I cut off the excess on all the lines and had the ends re flared. The brass and copper may have some corrosion issues if not managed when attaching to galvanized metal.

Installation was without issue and they are working like a champ!

  • Parts Needed To Covert Electric Drum Brakes On Triple Axle Texas Pride Car Hauler To Hydraulic Disc
I was able to determine that your 9,000lb axles on your Texas Pride Trailer will accept the Dexter Axle Oil Hub # 008-430-03. It uses the same Outer Bearing # 25580, Inner Bearing # 387A and this will use the Oil Seal # 10-51 which is the same 2.875 inner diameter as your grease seal. You will need the Oil Cap Kit # RG04-270 for the new hubs. And the Kodiak Synthetic Bearing Oil # XLPROLUBE can be used with all manufactures. The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R1058D11E will provide you with...

Yes the triple axle brake line kit part # HS496-253 is the correct brake line kit for your trailer with the Demco actuator part # DM8204311.

  • Best Disc Brake Actuator for Triple Axle Drum Brakes
For just the actuator by itself the correct Hydrastar is the part # HS381-8066 that you referenced as it's pressure rating is correct for drum brakes and is rated for up to three brake axles. For a kit that includes the needed junction box, 7-way connector, a junction box for easy wiring and other various terminals for an easy install you'd instead want the part # HS381-9066 as all of that is included with this kit. Then for a triple axle brake line kit we have the Hydrastar kit part...

  • Trailer Disc Brakes are Slow to Respond when Connected to a 2010 Dodge Ram w/Integrated Controller
Dodge says their integrated trailer brake controller is compatible with the electric over hydraulic brake systems, but we have found their compatibility to be hit and miss at best. There are a few things that can cause slow response in the trailer brakes. First make sure everything is wired correctly and that there are no weak or bad grounds. Grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. Make sure there is no corrosion in the vehicle and trailer side connectors.Wiring...

  • Converting Electric Brakes To Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Brakes On Triple Axle Trailer
Yes, we have the HydraStar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - Triple Axle - 15' Long, 1/4" Main Line, # HS496-153. We also have a 25 foot long kit, # HS496-253. With either kit, I recommend use with the HydraStar Vented Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi, # HBA16. This will convert the electric system over to a hydraulic system with the electric motor that pushes the plunger into the hydraulic master cylinder as you brake. I assume you have 3500 lb axles, and if...

  • Converting 2016 Diamond C 10k Axle Trailer and Iron Panther 7K Axle Trailer to Disc Brakes
The D100G axles on your 2016 Diamond C trailer are 10,000 lb axles. Based on the manufacture date you need the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 11" Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - E-Coat Finish - Leaf Spring - 10,000-lb Dexter # K2R1058D11E which fits the # 008-430-03 hub made after May 2013. If you need hydraulic brake lines I recommend the Hydrastar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit # HS496-252 or # HS496-253. I'm not sure if you have tandem or triple axles so I gave you the option for both. For an actuator and...

  • Parts Needed to Convert a Triple Axle Trailer from Electric Drum to EOH Disc Brakes
The best braking system for towing a trailer that has brakes would be an Electric-Over-Hydraulic (EOH) system like what you are referencing. I do have a solution for you, but we do not have any of the products that you mentioned. Hydraulic disc brakes are superior to drum brakes and when you couple them with the accurate braking of a proportional brake controller like the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 it is hard to find a system that is more efficient. What I recommend doing is using an EOH actuator...

The Dexter DX Series Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator for Drum Brakes part # K71-650 will work well to actuate your drum brakes on the triple axle trailer when you switch over to electric over hydraulic brakes. You will also need a brake line kit. The longest brake line kit we have available is HydraStar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - Triple Axle - 25' Long, 3/16" Main Line part # HS496-253. • Converting Three 7,000 Pound Dexter Axles to Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes
I can certainly help you out with a disc brake set up on your trailer. The first thing we need to find out in order to select the correct parts would be the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings in the hubs you have now. With that information I can ensure that we get you the right parts. I would also need to know the bolt pattern of the wheels and what kind of braking system the trailer currently has. Also, do all 3 of the axles have brake mounting flanges?...

  • Disc Brake and Actuator Kit Recommendation for 2016 Grand Design Momentum 397th
Your trailer has 7k Lippert axles on it so the disc brake kit you would need is the three sets of # K2HR712D for the disc/rotor and caliper kits. This won't be super cheap but it will give you the best option for converting to disc. For an electric over hydraulic actuator kit you then would want the part # HS381-9067 which will give you everything needed except for brake lines. For that you then would want the part # HS496-253.

  • Recommendation on Switching Vacuum Over Hydraulic Brakes to Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes
Since the braking power is still hydraulic, you should have no issues converting from a vacuum over hydraulic system to an electric over hydraulic (EOH) system. The electric over hydraulic actuator will take the place of the vacuum that pressurized the existing brakes. Now, since you have disc brakes already installed on your trailer, I recommend the HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi, # HBA16. In order to determine the correct replacement disc brake actuator , you'll need to know the GVWR of your trailer, the size of hitch ball it will need to accept, and how it needs to mount.
