Video Transcript for Hydrastar Trailer Brakes HS43-9035 Review
Today we're going to take a look at the hydro star quarter inch brake line adapter for hydraulic brake lines. This is a 1/4 inch line adapter. This replaces the 3/16 inch adapter that comes standard on the hydro star actuators. This will allow conversion to a 1/4 inch hydraulic brake line and the 1/4 inch brake lines improve your braking performance when it's used on trailers over 20 ft. long or on triple axle trailers. This part is for a quantity of one.
I'm going to span out here. I just want to show you an example here. I pulled a hydro star actuator and you can see it comes with the, here's the output port. It has a little plug in there but this brass output port here, this is a 3/16ths. It comes standard on the actuator.
If you want to change that out, you just have to get a wrench on there, unscrew that, and then take your 1/4 inch adapter and go ahead and screw that on. It comes with the O ring, you can see on there. Screw that on there and it will change to the 1/4 inch lines. That should do it for the review on the hydro star 1/4 inch brake line adapter for hydraulic brake line.

I was replacing the 3/16" primary brake line from the HydraStar brake actuator with 1/4" line on our 5th wheel and this fitting was what was needed to accomplish this.
