PERFECT! Customer service. Personal, direct communication. Constant updates and alternative suggestions to parts I had not thought of. Follow up was great and all my parts arrived in great shape.
I’ll always be a fan of E TRAILER

by:

Thanks for providing hard to find parts. You are my go to source for trailer parts!!

by:

Always great and timely service. Correct parts in a very quick turn around. I've been doing business with etrailer for years and have bought many items from them because of their great service and quick delivery. With all the incompetence these days, it's nice to deal with true professionals.

by:

brakes work great but the instalation wasn't the best calipers rub on the rim and nobody had any advise to get it to work. Even though it says that it fits a 16 inch rim but thay don't but I got it figured out no help from the compinies that make or sell the item. and when the packages showed up the boxes were all smashed up and the calipeers and brakes were all scratched so the e coating is worthless but there was nothing anyone could do. And one of the caliper bolts had fell out and i had to order a new one because they couldn't figure out how to send a bolt that fits. very disappointed

by:

Works great with no problems whatsoever.

by:

Nice upgrade from electric drum brakes to disc brakes. Clearance on calipers to my 16” steel trailer rims was tight. May upgrade to 17.5” rims in the future.

by:

Product was used and works fine I had to cut 1/4 inch line to run it as I wanted to bothsides and teed it infront of drivers side to across to curbside for othere wheels which I ran a 3/16 line to each wheel. I had to buy extra fittings but all worked out brakes work as designed.

I had to upgrade my fifth wheel to a motorhome do to my wifes disability how ever every thing worked out just fine fo the short time I used it.

by:

I recently ordered a complete hydraulic disc brake kit for my horse trailer, as I wanted to change out the worn out electric drum brakes with something better. I worked with Carla on getting all of the right parts to make this changeover. She was very helpful and made sure that I got all of the necessary parts on order. I received everything in one shipment and set out to install the brake kits on all four wheels.

I ran into a problem with the brake line kit that was supplied by HydraStar...they didn't include the brake lines and fittings for the second axle as was specified in my order, so I had to make a special run to my local auto parts house to get the lines and fitting at an additional cost. I placed a call to eTrailer to let them know what happened and they said that they would have a tech from HydraStar give me a call. NEVER GOT A CALL FROM THEM!!!!!! Anyway, the installation proceeded and all went smoothly after that. It took me two and a half days to do this entire installation myself and I am very happy with the results. I just got back from a 2000 mile trip with the trailer and everything worked perfectly. Thank you Carla and eTrailer for your help and providing good quality products.

by:

I changed out my electric drum brakes on my Montana fifth wheel with this hydraulic brake actuator and Kodiak discs rotor system . What a difference this new brake system has made. I can now lock down the trailer tires if needed and drive much more relaxed on the highway knowing I can stop on a dime.

by:

Have not installed items at this time, but service has been GREAT so far. Waiting for a few more parts.

working great

by:

etrailer as always has what I need, ships fast, and product is "as advertised"!
A pleasure to talk to the tech's when I have questions and even go as far as calling manufacturer to verify equipment selections.
Keep up the GREAT work.

by:

Everything was very quick and arrived on time. Did get 2 damaged caliper fittings but customer service was awesome and is going to send me replacements. I would suggest that better packaging for the calipers.

  • Best Parts For Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes on 2019 Grand Design Momentum 351M
We can definitely put together a complete kit so you can add electric over hydraulic brakes to your 2019 Grand Design Momentum 351M tandem-axle trailer. You'll need to add four parts to your trailer - the brakes, actuator, brake lines, and breakaway kit; the best for that are the following: - (Two of these) DeeMaxx Disc Brakes - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Maxx Coat/Stainless # DE88YR - Hydrastar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # HS381-8067 -...

  • Parts Needed To Added Hydraulic Disc Brakes To Tandem Axle Boat Trailer W/ 3500lb Axles
Since your axles currently use the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 4-1/2 # 84546UC3-EZ that means you have tandem 3500lb axles with the common # L68149 and # L44649 bearing combination, and a 4 bolt brake mounting flange. To convert your trailer to hydraulic disc brakes you will need to start with two of the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Hub/Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet - 3,500 lbs # K2HR35D which will bolt up to your existing 4 bolt...

  • Parts Needed to Convert Trailer from Electric Drum to Electric-Over-Hydraulic Drum Brakes
To convert your gooseneck trailer from electric drum brakes to EOH (electric over hydraulic) brakes you'll need a few items, all of which are detailed in the linked article on adding an EOH braking system to a trailer. These include the hydraulic brake assemblies, the hub/drums you have, an EOH actuator like the HydraStar # HBA-12, a brake line kit, emergency breakaway kit and a compatible trailer brake controller that will work with an EOH actuator. Not all trailer brake controllers work...

  • Parts Needed To Convert 12K Dexter Trailer Axles From Electric Drum To Disc Brakes
The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R1258L12 will allow you to convert one of your 12K Dexter axles from drum to disc brakes. This kit will mount to your Dexter Hub 008-214-09 once removing the drum section and brake assemblies. You will need 2 kits as your trailer has tandem axles. Be sure to check your bearings and races and replace as needed. You will want to install 4 new oil Seals # 10-56 as they often become damaged during the removal and installation process. • Recommended EOH Disc Brake Kit With 9/16 Studs For Tandem Axle Trailer W/ 7000lb Axles
I would be happy to piece a kit together for you, but we do not currently have a HydraStar Disc Brake Kit W/ Actuator for 7000lb axles that has 9/16" studs. To get this you will need two of the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Dacromet - 7,000 lbs # K2HRCM1337-9DAC along with bearing kit # DBRKHW89G which is the correct kit for your 7000lb axle, and has the 9/16" wheel studs you wanted. Next you will need the HydraStart Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator # HBA16 to control...

The Kodiak Disc Brakes # KOD33FR are the brakes you will need to convert your 7,000lb axles to use disc brakes. This kit provides the brake assemblies for one axle so you will need 2 kits for your 5th wheel. It fits a standard #42 spindle with a 2.25" Oil Seal # XLPROLUBE2440SEAL. If your axles have the smaller 2.125" seal you will need 2 of the Seal Kits # RG06-090 to fit your axle. Yes, you can use the Dexter Hydraulic Brake Lines and Fittings # T4830000 with the Hydrapro Alpha # DH44FR and Kodiak Disc Brakes # KOD58FR. All these use the same 3/16" inverted flare fittings like the Hydrastar Brake Line Kit # HS496-252.

Assuming you have a standard duty Dexter or Lippert 12,000 lb axle, the correct kit would be the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 11" Rotor - 8 on 6.5 - Raw Finish - Leaf Spring - 12K - Dexter/Lippert # K2R1258L12. I would be happy to make a recommendation for upgraded axles and suspension components for your 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2670MK, but first I will need a few measurements from your current components. Starting with the axle you will need to measure your current axles from hub face to hub face and from spring center to spring center to determine the correct length the replacement axle would need to be. If you remove the hub and measure the spindle with a set of calipers # PTW80157 at points B, C, and D from the diagram below we can use these inner diameter measurements to determine a fit. The brake line kit that would be best for you will depend the number of brake assemblies, the length of the trailer and whether the brakes are drum or disc. If you have a single axle trailer using drum or disc brakes, and the distance between the actuator and the rear axle is less than 18 feet, the Kodiak # 18SI-BLKIT would work great. • Correct Length of Kodiak Tandem Axle Brake Line Kit
The Kodiak # 20TA-BLKIT 20 foot brake line kit will work if the distance from the rear of the coupler to the front trailer axle is roughly 18 to 19 feet, as you'll need some slack for the swing-away coupler to move freely. having a little extra length won't hurt, but you don't want to come up short because you can't easily make a splice like you can with steel brake lines. Grease would be better for marine applications since a hub full of grease repels water and an oil bath hub could just let the water set on top. The correct grease seal for disc brake kit # K2HR712D is # RG06-070. It does have an inner diameter of 2.25 inches and the outer diameter at 3.376 inches will fit the hub in the disc brake kit.
