Disc Brake and Actuator Kit Recommendation for 2016 Grand Design Momentum 397th

Question:

Looking to upgrade my 2016 Grand Design Momentum 397th to disk brakes AS you might be aware there is a serious production issue with Lippert. and grease leaking out into the drum brakes on these coaches. I have decided to forgo replacing the drums, and just upgrade to disk and not concern myself with this. What would be the most cost effective braking solution that will provide adequate braking for a trailer weighing in near the maximum 21,000 lbs, and will provide flexibility in the event i upgrade to a non leaf spring suspension system?

Your trailer has 7k Lippert axles on it so the disc brake kit you would need is the three sets of # K2HR712D for the disc/rotor and caliper kits. This won't be super cheap but it will give you the best option for converting to disc.

For an electric over hydraulic actuator kit you then would want the part # HS381-9067 which will give you everything needed except for brake lines. For that you then would want the part # HS496-253.
