Flexible Rubber Brake Hose
This Kodiak brake hose is made of rubber, making it a practical choice for a variety of applications. Because you can easily bend it, a rubber hose is simpler to work with than a rigid stainless steel brake line. This flexibility makes a rubber hose great for use with foldaway trailer tongues because it is less likely to kink or break when bent. In addition, rubber hoses allow for a wide range of motion so articulating parts can effectively function. These qualities make rubber hoses better suited than steel lines for trailers with torsion axle suspension systems and trailers that have disc brakes.
Stainless steel brake lines have braided exteriors, which can not only wear against exterior surfaces, but also against the interior lining of the hose if dirt gets underneath the steel braid. And if the braid on a stainless steel line tears, it can cut into the hose lining. The exterior surface of this hose is solid rubber, so there are no crevices for debris to enter.
Durable Fittings with Deep Threads
Kodiak brake hoses have corrosion-resistant brass fittings with stainless steel flares. These fittings have a gap built into them that allows room for a line wrench - also called a flare nut wrench - to slide over the line and down to the nut. This type of wrench grips the nut better than a standard open-ended wrench so there is less chance of stripping the threads as you tighten down the nut.
The stainless steel that is used to create the flares on this hose is stronger than brass. As a result, these fittings are more durable than ones made entirely of brass. The stainless flares are primarily designed to keep the fittings from splitting when you tighten them down, but they offer absolute rust protection as well.
Kodiak's fittings have deeper threads than many other fittings on the market to provide a higher thread engagement. Deeper threads offer an advantage when used with fittings that have the same thread depth. These Kodiak fittings will work with most fittings on the market, but when they're used with other Kodiak fittings, the result is a stronger connection with fewer leaks.

Product came apart on second trip poor manufacturing same end pulled off the hose went less than 100 miles

I would say this experience with the hose is not typical with the Kodiak brand. It does have a three year warranty if you still have the hose and are interested. I would be happy to send the details to you.

This break line set, and the disk break set I ordered about a year ago are holding up great on by boat trailer. It is used only in salt water. they are a big improvement over the first set that came with the trailer. These are the only ones I will be buying from now on.

Holding up great. I have had no problems with them and the boat gets used a lot. I do flush them out with fresh water as soon as I get home. It seems thats all they need. GREAT product.
Arrived on time and was the product that I needed.
I needed a brake line hose for my boat trailer. This was perfect and didn't require bending or flaring.

Sold the boat and trailer. Havent heard a negative from new owner.
The hose was manufactured six months ago How sweat is that, The hose was even shipped with plugged ins. This will help and bleeding the lines thanks again
I have made 3 orders and each has been on-time, accurate, and complete. Which says a lot about their website as well as service.
My drum brakes locked up on me because it is a boat trailer and gets submerged in water. I hate drum brakes, due how many part are inside and can rust up. I am the 3rd owner of my 1998 boat trailer and it was hard to figure out what I needed to fix it. I contacted etrailer and they were super helpful, super informative and super easy to work with. I told them what I had, and what I wanted to do., and they put a package together for me and that was them. Everything was super east to install because it is all bolt on. I did have to do some cutting and grinding on my old tongue because the master was welded on. That was the only difficult part. My new setup is amazing and the disk brakes and new master make it feel like my boat is not even there. All in all, I am 110% satisfied and will definitely be a returning customer for any trailer needs. Thank you etrailer for making everything super easy.

Perfect replacement brake line for trailer brakes on a 2014 Marine Master boat trailer with UFP calipers. Replaced the line that runs from one caliper to the other along the axel. Easy install.
Just as I expected
This has been a great product. I used it on a boat trailer after installing a swing tongue, it was easy to install and has worked well. Product is very durable and has stood up well after one year of use. In fact it still looks like new. i am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product.

Replaced the metal tubing that originally came on my 2004 four winns trailer this is way more practical and almost bullet proof!!!
Being a somewhat difficult to find length with the correct fittings, we were happy to find that etrailer had this available for prompt shipment. Our EOH system is back online!

Web site worked very well. Received the brake lines within a reasonable time frame since they had to go all the way to the west coast. Product was easy to find on their site and they were exactly as shown. Prices were within budget and much easier that fighting traffic locally.
I will order again from them when needed.
Very well made and plenty of flex in the line to accommodate the movement required in the caliper when mounted on the trailer. SS hose ends are well made. Nice quality
