Is Larger Diameter Brake Line Required when Switching from Drum to Disc Trailer Brakes

Question:

will my new 12in disc brake calipers require a 1/4 inch brake line? i have 3/16on my trlr now and i have bought the disc brake master cyl from you and feel i should probably go to 1/4 lines to compensate for disc brakes. please advise .

You would only need to switch to a larger diameter brake line if the braking response was slow. You can go to a larger line if you wanted but it won't be necessary. We have 1/4 line kits such as # HS496-251 for single axle trailers, # HS496-252 for tandem axle trailers, or # HS496-253 for triple axle trailers.
