This is one massive hitch ball. Just one look and you know it is strong. I also love the little extra height. A great fit for my 2 5/16 coupler.

Still great.

by:

Was just what I needed to get the trailer tongue away from my weight distribution hitch. Previous ball was too low, allowing the trailer tongue to impact my hitch!

by:

This 1" height extended hitch ball works perfect to keep my trailer level. I needed a 3" drop but couldn't find a heavy duty ball mount that would work so I purchased a 4" drop mount and this 1" high hitch ball. I wish it was available in a non-raw version, the raw ball does rust up easily on the surface.

Norm M.

This extended ball continues to work perfectly after over 10,000 miles of use.

LOOKING FOR IN A VENDOR FOR MY PARTS ROOM AND SO FAR ETRAILER DELIVERS ON ALL
ACCOUNTS.
THANKS!

by:

Worked great, solved a problem, no more dragging trailer jacks.

by:

I was expecting a plain raw steel hitch ball but what I received was really nice looking stout hitch ball. I do realize it is just a hitch ball but I am very impressed with the quality of this so called raw hitch ball. I've purchased quite a few items from etrailer and have never been disappointed with the quality not to mention the prices. Keep up the good work.

These are great weld on kingpins

by:

Quality of product is excellent. Curt hitches are heavy duty and will last a lifetime. My second purchase from etrailer.com. The description and knowledge of their products is exceptional. Very satisfied.

by:

Needed a 5 inch drop hitch but without an adjustable one it doesnt exist. This coupled with a 6 inch drop worked out perfectly. etrailer is the first place Ive ever see a hitch ball with built in riser.

by:

I've used etrailer on numerous times and generally avoid these reviews, but they are a very solid good helpful organization to deal with. This is a small order compared to 3 years of past orders. Save yourself some time and trouble and just buy from them. You'll be pleased at the service. Jack

by:

The product came as described on the sales page. All of the parts were there and the hitch went together easily. I have not pressed the hitch into production yet but fully expect the hitch to preform well, when I do.

by:

The heavy duty hitch and other parts that I received from etrailer were exactly what I ordered and at a good price. The delivery was fast and nothing damaged. Thanks etrailer I will be buying from you again.

by:

Best prices, fast delivery. I have been referring customers who need hitch parts to go the etrailer.com. Nobody has called me back with a complaint and most thank me for telling them about the etrailer website,

Very high quality ball. Well built, not a cheapy from the discount store. I purchased it with a weight distribution hitch. Very pleased with it.

by:

Excellent product. It gave me some leeway on the trailer set back for the WD hitch.

by:

Just arrived in mail and it Looks great. With a 1” rise ball and 4”drop hitch puts trailer in just the right spot (level with tractor loaded on trailer)!!!!

  • Class V Trailer Hitch, Weight Distribution, Brake Control for 1988 Ford F-250 Towing 10K Trailer
The fuel tank should not be a problem provided that the bottom of the frame where a hitch like # DT45502 installs is clear on your 1988 Ford F-250. If a hitch were rated right at 10K and the trailer was 10K I do recommend going to a higher capacity high for safety. But it also depends on the towing capacity of the truck because if the truck is rated lower than the hitch you still have to go by that lower rating. Weight distribution is recommended if the trailer is at least half of the...

  • Availability Of Weight Distribution System For Trailer With 2000lb Tongue Weight
There is one weight distribution hitch option that is rated for the 2000lb tongue weight you mentioned, but it will require you to replace the trailer hitch receiver on your 2021 Ford F-350 Dual Rear Wheel. The TorkLift SuperHitch Everest Weight Distribution System - 30,000 lbs GTW, 3,000 lbs TW # TLWD1000 will work with tongue weights ranging from 1500-3000lbs but will only work with their TorkLift Magnum Dual Receiver Trailer Hitch Receivers. • Weight Distribution for a 2015 Ram 1500 and 8,500 Pound Travel Trailer
Weight distribution is definitely a good idea and will eliminate the squat on your 2016 Ram 1500 when the trailer is coupled. To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. Trailer tongue weight is usually 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight so...

This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. • Weight Distribution and Sway Control Recommendation for a Trailer with 1,300 lbs Tongue Weight
I would recommend the Strait-Line System part # RP66130 as it has a tongue weight range of 800 lbs - 1,500 lbs and has the only sway control on the market designed to fight sway before it starts. For a shank you would want the part # RP54970 and then for a hitch ball # C40086. Overall this would be the best setup you could use for a trailer with a tongue weight of 1,290 lbs.

  • How to Correct for Rear-End Sag in 6-Inch Lifted 2006 Silverado 1500 Z71 4X4 Towing 10K Trailer
The best way to correct rear-end sag in a tow vehicle is to use a weight distribution (WD) system like the Pro Series # 49570 that you referenced. Suspension kits like jounce, leaf or air helper springs can help too but a WD system will do the best job of moving trailer tongue weight forward to the front axle to prevent sag. Rear axle kits are best for loads in the truck bed and WD is best for correcting sag from trailer tongue weight. The key to choosing a system is to match it to your...

This saves time, money, and most importantly, frustration.
