Recommended Way to Secure the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40086 While Torqueing it Down
Question:
Hi, most my curt balls have wrench flats on them so you can hold the ball when installing or removing, I sure dont want to use a pipe wrench because that would chew it up pretty bad and I dont know if they make a strap wrench big enough to hold while torquing to 450 foot pounds, any suggestions what tool to use to hold the top of the ball. Thanks

If you have access to a large vice I would wrap the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40086 in a thicker shop rag and then use the vice to really crank down tight on it to keep it from spinning while torqueing the nut.
