Today we're going to take a look at the BMW 2 and 5/16 hitch ball with the 2 inch rise, a long shank and a raw finish and a 30,000 pound weight capacity. Now this hitch ball will provide a connection point for your trailer's coupler. The built in rise portion will let you easily match the ball to your trailer height. Basically, this hitch ball will sit an extra 2 inches above the ball bump 00:00:21 plant when it's installed. On the shank itself, it does use 12 threads per inch. This will give you a nice, tight, strong grip when it's installed. It's made of a heat treated steel which is very durable.
It has a nice, raw finish to it. The lock washer and the nut are all included. This part is made in the USA. A few specs on this, and a couple of them are stamped on the top of the ball: the diameter of the ball is 2 and 5/16 which is on this top here, and also the weight capacity which is stamped on here is 30,000 pounds. The rise we mentioned which is this portion right here as you can see is going to be 2 inches. The shank dimensions themselves: the total length of the shank is going to be right at 2 and 3/4 inches long and the diameter is going to be right at 1 and 1/2 inches.
Basically when you go to install this in your ball mount, you'll slide the shank through the hole on the ball mount, put your lock washer on, take your large nut, go ahead and tighten it down and you'll tighten it down to the correct tork specs for your application. That should do it for the review of the BMW 2 and 5/16 inch hitch ball with the 2 inch rise, the long shank and a raw finish and a 30,000 pound weight capacity.
