Awesome use it everyday for my work.

by:

I bought the spring kit to put on my home built trailer that I put my old heavy slide-in camper on. It more than met my expectations. There was no sway at 75mph or on the 5 mile trail back to camp.

by:

I think these Trailer spring hangers are working out very well. Can’t wait to test it out on the road. I’m building a 7000 lbs GVWR trailer to mount a generator on.

by:

It was easy to install, and had all the parts I needed.
The trailer rolls down the road nice.
This helped me get a barn find trailer back on the road.

by:

Had what I needed to repair my trailer. Shipping was faster than expected. The kit should contain bushing for the springs as well. Also an option for the greaseable pins.

by:

We summer at a remote cabin in the Gila Nat'l Forest above Silver City NM. The last 5 miles to the cabin is extremely rough and puts a lot of wear and tear on both my truck and my trailer that we use to transport water, food, building materials and supplies to the cabin on a twice a month schedule. I have had suspension springs break, blown tires and damaged coupler. I ordered this kit to replace the entire hanger assembly because of wear and tear, cracks and loose fittings. I had to re-enforce the frame and weld up some cracks and wear points. The kit was great and worked perfect. The trailer is now like new and will serve me for years to come.

by:

Excellent experience. My order shipped and arrived extremely fast and the customer support team was kind professional and promp in answering any questions I had.

by:

I'm building a trailer for a gutter machine from scratch. And the parts that I got from e-trailer are exactly what I needed, and on top of that they got to my house 3 days earlier than they were suppose to. I know where to order again if I need some more parts in near future ;) thank you guys

by:

I had a trailer with a suspension that needed new bushing and rocker arm. I looked on line and decided on the parts I needed. I called my order in on Sunday evening and explained I needed the parts ASAP.
The parts were sent to UPS Sunday evening. I received the parts about 2:00 Wednesday. I have already installed the parts. The suspension is back like new now.

All parts fit properly and arrived on t ime

by:

I received my order very fast. The quality is excellent and everything that I expected. What is also impressive is that if you have questions about setting up your axle kit, etrailer has printable instructions right on their website that will make installation simple.
I have built several trailers over the years and appreciate the quality and service provided by etrailer. I highly recommend this company and their products.

by:

All parts were perfect fit. Quality hardware and performance.

by:

Exactly what I needed for my trailer. Fast shipping!

by:

by:

by:

Product was exactly as described. Used the info on website for location of mounts. Couldnt be happier.
Awesome customer service as well.

by:

Great parts. Easy installation. Website was easy to use and find what I was looking for. Order arrived quickly

by:

My flatbed trailer is a 1998 and the suspension and wheels were suffering from Pa's use of salt brine on the roads. The wheels had holes rusted through them! Decided it was time to repair the trailer. Got new wheels and suspension parts from E-trailer. Got my parts fast at a good price and well on my way to having a reliable trailer again. Great service and will do business again!

Year later and trailer is still working great again. PA inspection will be due in a month and everything is still in good shape

by:

Donna helped me a great deal and made sure I ordered just what I needed and rushed the delivery so I could attend my event to meet Tim Mattis and team up to fight veteran suicide.

by:

Everything I needed was included and fit as it should.

by:

I have ordered from Etrailer a few times now, The service is always great and fast shipping. They have the best prices around. Where I live I have 24 miles of rough dirt road so am always replacing parts on my trailers. Their products hold up to the test of my road. Always a perfect fit too!

everything is still holding up very good! Thank you guys for the excellent service!

Perfect fit. No problems.

Pics of trailer frame.

I didn’t receive all parts on original shipment. Box was partly open due to the box wasn’t big enough and that’s why it bust. After Tralee already tore part when found. I called to get replacement parts. That went well until I received what I was originally missing, and y’all sent me galvanized straps and I said to hell with it. Not going to keep waiting. I’ll paint over them. Not sure why my new order and the replacement straps couldn’t have been shipped together. But oh well I’ll wait several more days for part that was in stock in the same building probably to shopped late. Better luck next time

  • Height Increase from Dexter Over-Under Axle Kit K71-384-00
The Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APT5 does include the spring hanger components for a tandem axle trailer like yours. You'll need to determine how much height increase you need. This will tell you if the height gain from over-under kit # K71-384-00 or from the taller hangers will be enough for you. Typically an over-under kit provides a height increase of roughly the diameter of the axle. But a 3-inch taller hanger will not give you 3-inches of height...

  • Recommended Replacement Leaf Springs and Hanger Kit for 8,000 Pound Dual Axle Car Hauler
Starting with the leaf springs, I recommend the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e57SR. This 3-spring stack measures 25-1/4 inches from the center of spring eye to the center of spring eye. This is a more common spring length for this capacity, so it will be much easier to find an exact replacement down the line when needed. You can then use the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APT5.. This kit includes 6 hangers, 2 equalizers, 8 shackle straps, 14 shackle bolts, and 14 locknuts. You will need...

  • Where to Place Axles on a 16 Foot Long Trailer
To determine the location for the front and rear hangers on your tandem axle trailer you will first need to make sure that you have the correct center point for your equalizer hanger. The center point of your equalizer hanger should start where you will have 60 percent of the frame of the trailer in front of the center of the equalizer hanger and 40 percent behind the center of the equalizer hanger. For example, if the trailers frames length is 16 feet, then the center-line location for...

There is about 3-1/4" of space between the eye of the spring part # e54SR to the top of the lowest point of the spring. This is indicated by dimension D on the diagram I have attached. The height of the hanger you need really depends on the trailer axle diameter and the wheel size. I recommend to use Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double Eye Springs part # APT5 which will give you the proper amount of clearance with the axle and the e54SR spring. This kit includes 3-3/4" tall hangers....

We don't have CAD drawings we can give out for our hanger kits but I can help give you info to help you determine what the height of your axles relative to your trailer frame would be with each kit. With the part # APT5 it will give you approximately 4-1/2 inch to 5 inch of clearance and the part # APT3 will give you approximately 3-1/2 inch to 3-3/4 inch.

All of our kits will have the 9/16 inch bolts. This isn't an issue unless you aren't replacing the hangers. We do have the equalizers you are seeking sold individually. • What Distance is Needed Between Trailer Axle and Trailer Frame
As long as you have at least 2-1/2" between your axles and the frame of your trailer when it is unloaded you should be good to go. Altogether your leaf springs should only be deflecting about 1-1/2" when carrying a load. If you wanted to increase your clearance then there are a few ways to do that. One way would be to cut your current hangers off and have longer ones welded on and another way is to use an over under kit like part # K71-384-00 for a 2-3/8" axle or part # K71-385-00 for...

I would not use any Loctite when installing suspension components on a trailer since the suspension components need to be able to move relatively freely. The blue will allow nuts and bolts to be removed with hand tools. Maybe I'm just paranoid but for me, I wouldn't use it.
