Video Transcript for Review of Maxxair RV Vents and Fans - Replacement Lift Arm - MA10-20222KS

Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the replacement lift arm for the MaxxFan roof vents. Now this is going to be the arm that obviously lifts and lowers your vent fan for your camper or trailer. This just attaches to the operator mechanism to turn and lift that up at increments and then hold it there, and also again, let it back down. So this is going to fit several different fans, including the MaxxFan, the MaxxFan mini, the MaxxFan plus, and the MaxxFan deluxe.

For all those part numbers, they are listed on the product page here etrailer.com so you can find the exact part number to match with your fan.The lift operator mechanisms, which are just a little piece that has a screw that attaches either to the motor or to the handle to actually operate that up and down, those are available separately. There's two different ones that this works with part numbers MA10-20281K-1AF. And also MA10-20281K-3CF. Both sold separately again, etrailer.com. Those are going to attach onto this smaller end here, and it has that hexagonal shape to operate that up and down and gets you back enjoying the fresh air or closing up your vent as necessary.

But that's going to do it for our look at the replacement lift arm for the MaxxFan roof vents..

We received our order a day earlier than expected, that’s awesome! Parts were easy to find on your site, that’s a big plus for me. We will go to etrailer.com for our next part.

by:

Drive shaft fit perfectly. Arms and bushings did not fit factory bracket openings for arms. Had to widen brackets to fit arm attach points and bushings.

by:

I have a MaXXfan 6200K. Before ordering, I contacted the manufacturer and etrailer with the model # and S/N # for my fan. Both assured me this part would fit my fan. After receiving the part, I find it does NOT fit my fan. In particular, the 'nubs' on the 2 arms are too large, the hex shaft does not slide into the gear box, and the hex shaft is too long. So now I need to make several modifications to get this part to fit my fan. This ordeal is completely unacceptable.

I am sorry that this item is not a fit for your application. I have sent this information over to our customer service department for them to better assist you in a possible return. However, if you have made any modifications or installed the item, we will not be able to issue a return.

by: 09/16/2022

Inequitable return policy! I purchase this product for about $25 + $5 shipping but did not need part after all. Attempted return of item and was told return shipping would be $18+. I asked why almost 4 times the return postage they responded that was cost to get to me also, but the company paid the difference - THAT MEANS THE $25 ITEM WAS SOLD FOR SEVEN ($7) NET.

Then I try to write a review on the unjust treatment and find these guidelines:
Tips for a great review:
Write about the product
What do you like, and why?
How do you plan on using it?
What problem did it solve for you?
Share pictures of your product
Not appropriate for a review
Distasteful or spiteful language
Suggestions that may affect safety/warranty
Links or references external to etrailer.com
Details about ordering, shipping and pricing
Questions

SO LONG STORY SHORT - ETRAILER AIN'T INTERESTED IN WHAT I THINK - THEY HAVE THE MONEY.

BUT, there are many other sites where customer review can be written.

NO MORE purchase from etrailer and nothing but bad review at every opportunity.

The product arrived in good shape in a timely manner. The only issue I had was with the diameter of the "nubs" that are in contact with the lid of my Maxxfan and do the actual lifiting of the lid. They were too big to fit into the channels that recieve them on the lid of my fan unit. I had to grind a couple of mm of metal away with a Dremel tool to reduce their diameter. Once done, the product functioned perfectly.

Simple install and direct replacement for the maxxair fan on my 2018 Solitude GK-R.

by:

Part arrived quickly, and fit perfect. This armature requires a bushing like the same two that fit on the ends. (3) bushings. My bad for not looking closer. The drive side fits in a hexagonal slot while the pivot side just turns freely. Very happy with purchase.
