Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Replacement Mounting Plate for the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winches. Now, this replacement mounting plate is designed specifically for part numbers BDW10039 and 10040 trailer winches. If you have one of those models, then this plate is going to fit your winch perfectly. It's made for those models. The plate is made from a very durable steel construction. It's going to feature a black powder coated finish so it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion.
Now, just the mounting plate is included so hardware is not. You will have to provide your own hardware, use your old hardware, or get some new hardware to get the winch mounted to this plate. You'll notice here that it has the large area for the wiring to come out, or whatever type of rope or wiring that your winch uses. It's got the attachment points for your fairlead, and it's got a multi-hole design for mounting the winch to the actual plate. Now, four main holes are going to be what holds the winch to the plate. That's this hole, this hole, this hole, and this hole.
You can tell that because those holes are beveled on the bottom that way the hardware sits flush on the underside. Those holes, so measuring from this one to this one center on center, those are going to be separated by 10". Then center on center front to back, they are separated by 4-1/2". Now, when it comes to the overall measurements of this plate, very front to very back measures about 7-3/8 of an inch. Then going side to side so edge to edge going this direction, that's going to give us a measurement of right around 20". Good it fits my 17.5k Smittybuilt winch it would be better if the plate was longer and wider you have to weld the fairlead on cause there isn’t enough room for the bolts

I bought this Bulldog winch mounting plate for my Badland 9000 lb winch because I was able to confirm through the very helpful people at etrailer.com that the mounting bolt pattern was identical to the pattern on my winch. One huge benefit of this plate are the countersunk holes for the winch on the underside of the plate which allowed me to mount flush to my trailer's wood deck without having to alter my trailer to accommodate hex head bolts typically used with other plates. Additionally, this plate works perfectly with the fairlead that came with my winch.

Winch trailer mount is just what I needed, was going to make it myself but after seeing this I adapted it for my needs! Mounted an M8000 (overkill) to it installed 5/16 chain hooks to it then wrap a chain around solid tree to winch and guide decaying dangerous leaning ash trees over my house, not enough room for truck to winch from. Thanks to Brenden it arrived very quickly! I will be a customer whenever I need another item you have! Thanks for outstanding service,
