Bolster-and-swivel-bracket assemblies are typically mounted upright on a boat trailer's crossmembers. They allow a mounted bunk board, which runs from the front of the trailer to the back, to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes. On kayak trailers, these brackets are mounted to the trailer's frame and support bunk boards that run across the trailer.

Galvanized Steel

Steel parts are galvanized by being hot-dipped in zinc after they have been stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Very easy to install. Fully adjustable up/down and tilt side to side by several degrees. Great product with high grade hardware. It took only 45 minutes to install this outboard pair of bunks. I will buy from etrailer again!!

by:

Worked great in converting a pontoon lift to a boat lift for my sons 18 ft fishing boat

by:

I used these to build a jet ski lift and it is working great. I used the long 13" set so I could make one ski higher than the other to make it easer to keep one in place when using the other.

by:

I am hoping it will work on my trailer. All the parts are as you described. The ordering was easy and shipping was fast. Thank you

by:

Very excited about the Service and quality of my items. Love the delivery time being as promised.

Im totally happy with my purchase, and the service I received was professional and excellent!

by:

Converted a late 80's EZ-Loader roller to a bunk construction for my Boston Whaler 18 Outrage. Great product and easy to use. Quality construction and perfect fit. Purchase the recommended extra washers for the U bolts, worth it.

by:

Super service, fast shipping, excellent product. Will definitely be my go to place for quality trailer parts.

by:

Perfect for what I needed already installed. Very quick delivery
Great service Thanks Mike

by:

Exactly what I needed

by:

Great products as fast delivery!!!

by:

Saviors are the folks at etailer.com. Converting rollers to bunks was simple. Rook off all the rollers, measured up the trailer and boat, went to etrailer to shop for ALL the parts to make the conversion. Placed order, for all my needs, got over the $99 shipping hurdle and three days later, got to working on the actual conversion. Within a few hours, my EZ-Loader that my Whaler sits on, was now on brand new bunks, resting comfortably.

by:

The trailer brackets have performed well for over one year. They are quite durable and the galvanized coating ensures that they don’t rust even in salt water. They fit right in on my EZ Loader trailer.

by:

So far, the product has been excellent. Haven't had a chance to use the unit in the water yet, but am working on building my boat for the trailer. It was nice to hace a service person help me find what I was looking for on your web site. Give me another month, and I can send pics of the newly installed parts. Thanks.

by:

I ordered these boat trailer bunk brackets to modify a trailer I bought to fit the boat I have. The brackets were just right for what I needed and of good quality and durable. I received them in a timely matter, about 4 days with the regular shipping method. I will definitely order from Etrailer again for my trailer needs.

by:

Heavy duty used to convert a roller trailer to bunks. Shipped promptly. Would buy from this merchant again and again.

by:

Haven't actually tried the bunks and guide boards I bought because it is winter here now but the service and selection were awesome. They had everything I was looking for in one place and the delivery was right on time. The instruction videos and pictures were very helpful. Highly recommend etrailer for all your trailering needs and more.

by:

Really flimsy brackets. One broke off, causing bunks to fail, breaking other brackets and causing $$$$ in damage to my boat hull. Its not a heavy boat either (about 2,500 lbs, 19ft boat). Do not buy these if you like your boat and don't want to repair your hull. Maybe these can work for a jet ski or something, not a boat.

by:

These brackets replaced the old rusty bunk brackets on my salt water trailer.
Measure the height of the bunks on your trailer now and order ones that will be tall enough. They are adjustable by the slots you can see in the bracket. VERY EASY to install with the U bolts. The tops swivel easily so you can tilt the bunks the way they need to be to fit your boat properly.I have never worked on a trailer before, this was a first and it was easy. Check out the videos and photos provided. OUTSTANDING COMPANY with outstanding products.

by:

I so wish I had discovered etrailer earlier! The same product was $30 more expensive at other places and shipping was very prompt! Additionally, Heidi M. was an absolute joy to work with! She was friendly and truly interested in helping me find what I needed. She is definitely my go-to person whenever I need trailer parts from now on! Thanks, Heidi!! :)

by:

So far so good. Brackets have held up well this past year and hope they last a long time.

by:

the 12" risers i purchase were put on yesterday, I liked the height for ajusting, very strong does not move at all, great product.

by:

These are solid swivel bracket assemblies however I'm still struggling as to how I am going to install them and if I need additional parts. I give the site a below average score however the products are well made.

by:

Excellent product, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for sending it so quickly. Will definitely do more business with etrailer.com

by:

They are great, well made and easy to work with and the hardware is of quality and heavy gauged. Good job. Dwight

by:

Nothing special here just an average order with normal shipping time

  • Brackets for Adding Additional Bunk Boards to Magic Tilt Galvanized Kayak Trailer
The problem is that your bunks need to face a different direction than what standard boat trailers have so it's hard to have a solution since your setup is unique. That said I don't see why you couldn't use CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies # CE10002G-4 attached to the rails front to back on your trailer so that could could mount the bunks. For a U-bolt kit you could then use the part # CE15283GA-4 to secure the brackets.

  • Bunk Boards or Roller Bunks and Brackets for Boat Trailer and 26 Cuddy Cabin Boat
I don't believe there is a style of trailer called a low-tide trailer. Most of what you find on an internet search of that term is a broken boat trailer, so the gentleman may have been telling him his trailer was broken or soon to be broken. I've never seen bunk boards resting directly on the frame, so I recommend getting some bunk brackets. I recommend the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies - Galvanized Steel - 13" - Qty 4 # CE10002G-4 along with the CE Smith U-Bolts -...

  • Determining Trailer Bunk Board Length for 14 Foot Sailboat
It's not an exact science but typically you want the bunk boards on a trailer to extend all the way to the rear of the boat. It wouldn't hurt to have them go a bit beyond this too to ensure proper support during travel. Since the front of the boat should be supported by the bow stop you usually see bunk boards that measure about half the length of the boat itself. Since you no longer have the boards that originally came on your trailer it might also be a good idea to try and contact the...

  • Recommended Hardware to Lift Boat Bunks on Trailer
I would also assume you're correct. If you have regular bunks on your trailer, you can just use taller bolster brackets and reattach the boards to raise them. For a 16 1/4" tall bracket, you can use the CE Smith Double U-Bolt Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies # CE10196G-4, for a 13" tall bracket you can use # CE10002G-4, and for an 11" tall bracket you can use # CE10001G-4. From here, you can just reuse the u-bolts that you currently have, or you can use the CE Smith U-Bolts # CE15283GA-4.

  • Determining Length of Bolster Bracket for New Bunk System on Boat Trailer
To be on the safe size, I recommend going with a 13 inch bracket # CE10002G-4 at the back of the trailer and an 11 inch bracket with # CE10003G at the front. A nice feature on these brackets is that they will each actually have as much as 3-3/4 inches of height adjustment due to their mounting slots, so even if its total height is a bit higher than needed, you can adjust them down. This will allow you to have the perfect height for your new bunk support system. I have attached a short...

  • What is the Difference Between a Bolster Bracket and a Bunk Bracket
The terms bolster bracket and bunk bracket refer to the same thing. For example, CE Smith part # CE10002G-4 is a bracket that can be used on a boat trailer to mount either a standard carpeted wooden bunk board (that supports the boat's hull) or a roller bunk like # DL21741.

  • Recommended Bunk Board Brackets
We definitely have options for brackets to mount your bunk boards. This will depend on the size needed, of course, but here are a couple options for you to take a look at. The CE Smith # CE10003G-4 will come as a 4 pack and are 11 inches tall, including the swivel bracket on the top. If you need a little more height, the # CE10002G-4 will be much the same, but measure 13 inches. The swivel bracket on the top pf these will let you angle your bunk boards to the angle that suits your needs best.

All of the boat trailer bolster brackets that we offer, such as # CE10002G-4 and the set you referenced # CE10192GA-4, are made of galvanized steel. This zinc coating helps resists salt water corrosion in such environments. These brackets do not carry a specific salt-spray rating but they can be kept in best shape with a regular fresh-water rinse (as will your boat, of course) to remove the salt and help reduce corrosive effects.

The # CE10002G-4 CE Smith Bolster and Swivel is 13" tall. Assuming you mount it at the position to gain the most height, you should have 9" remaining. Losing the height from attaching to the 3" crossmember leaves you with 10" remaining. You will lose 1" at the bottom with the 1/2" below the lower mounting hole and 1/2" diameter U-bolt. Accounting for the added height of the bunks, you should be sitting over 11" once installed. I have attached a video review of the bracket for your reference.
