Switching From Rollers to Bunks on Boat Trailer for 1979 Mako 20

Question:

I have an older trailer that I would like to change from rollers to bunks. It carries a 20 1979 Mako. Can that be done? And, if so I need to know what parts I would need to make the transition. Could you provide some suggestions here? Thanks!

In order to switch from roller bunks to carpeted bunk boards on your boat trailer you will need to add four of the 5 foot CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers # CE27820. This is based on the 20' length of your 1979 Mako 20.

For swivel brackets to attach them we have the following:

CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies - Galvanized Steel - 9" - Qty 4 # CE10000G-4
CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies - Galvanized Steel - 11" - Qty 4 # CE10001G-4
CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies - Galvanized Steel - 13" - Qty 4 # CE10002G-4

You will need to choose the correct length for your trailer. You will also need U-bolts to attach the brackets to your frame like the # CE15283GA-8. You will once again need to choose the appropriate size based on your frame.

I have attached a review video along with a link to all of our U-bolts which can be filtered down by size.
