Bunk Boards

These carpeted bunk boards provide hull support for your boat during transport and storage. Each 7' long board is wrapped in weather-resistant, marine-grade black carpet. You can run the bunk boards front to back for traditionally shaped hulls or side to side for flat-bottom boats, kayaks and inflatables.

To attach the bunk boards to the front and rear crossmembers of your trailer frame, use existing brackets or a four-pack of swivel mounting brackets (CE10000G-4, CE10001G-4 or CE10002G-4 - sold separately). These brackets allow you to install the bunk boards at different heights. In addition, they enable the bunk boards to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes.

There needs to be a better system on the keel rollers , where there is a more positive end cap to the
roller shaft .......something as simple as a through hole with a washer and a stainless cotter pin would be fine.
the " snap-on " " pound on type" come off eventually .

I converted my jet ski trailer into a dual purpose trailer: a kayak trailer for the summer, and a jet ski trailer for the winter months. The bunks are installed above the existing jet ski bunks and the kayak bunks are easily removed at the end of the season. I am very pleased with the results.

Received the 7' Bunks in 3 days to Virginia Beach. Great speed from ordering to delivery.

Very nice looking Bunks. I also ordered all the Hardware and Swivel Brackets. OEM Brackets are getting paper thin (12 yo trailer) and didn't want to trust them another year. Can't say that I am looking forward to the project, but will be happy when completed.

by:

Customer service was helpful, delivery quick and instructions very clear.

by:

Thank you for the fast delivery of the boat bunks I ordered l put them on today & they look great and also work just fine

Its exactly what I was looking for thank you for a great product. I’ve had my boat trailer in the water numerous times and the bunks are still just like brand new

by:

Perfect replacement bunks. Carpet well fitted. Already had in the water with minimal saturation. Will buy again.

by:

Arrived ahead of schedule haven't had a chance to install them yet waiting on more parts but they appear to be very good shape we'll find out when we install them

I bought a 2007 16' Carolina Skiff for $3500 back in December. The dealer said there was nothing at all wrong with it and he went over it and winterized it. I finally got around to putting it in the water and saw that the bunk boards were in terrible shape, with one side rail guide-on falling off. I took it to a marina repair shop and was told it would be cheaper to buy a new trailer instead of replacing the bunk boards. I contacted Ashley at etrailer about buying a set of bunk boards and all of the brackets and hardware for it. $370.00 later I had a full set of bunk boards and guide-ons being shipped to me. I don't think I could find a new trailer for that price. It took longer to remove the old ones than it did to put the new ones on. About 3 hrs later I had a new trailer. These bunk boards and guide-ons fit my boat and trailer perfectly.
Thank you Ashley and etrailer for great customer service and a very good product at a really decent price.

My bunks are still solid, barely wearing at all.

by:

Just right for my raft application.

by:

Fast delivery in great condition; excellent communication. The bunks appear to be well constructed with quality materials. I noted that while the carpet was securly stapled to the lumber it wasn't glued. I don't know if that will be of any consequence or not. It fit perfectly and installed easily and quickly. I'd give it 5 stars but we'll have to see how it stands the test of time.

by:

Excellent quality bunk boards. Great price. Delivered as committed. Highly recommend e-trailer as a preferred source.

by:

Wonderful, saved time buying carpet materials and covering wood, all I had to do was put them on the trailer.

by:

Great quality and fast shipping

by:

Bunk board's were quality as advertised, shipping timely and easier that expected to install

by:

Great replacements. I jacked boat up one side at a time. Took brackets off old boards and installed them on new boards. New boards were a little longer than originals so I installed brackets to match up with mounts on trailer. They fit and work excellent.

by:

Ordered a pair of boat trailer bunk boards for my 35 year old EZ Loader trailer. After debating making new boards myself ordered pair from Etrailer. Was very satisfied with the timing being shipped across the country. The boards were packed very well and received in top shape. The quality of the product was excellent and fit was perfect. Was very surprised on the free shipping at the distance be shipped for the bulky item. Thanks for the help Etrailer, would recommend your business to others.

by:

I purchased these as a replacement for my Tracker fishing boat trailer. One year later, and BAM! They're still in great shape and working as I would expect. I have absolutely no concerns recommending these. Great quality, great price, great service from etrailer.com.

by:

Haven't actually tried the bunks and guide boards I bought because it is winter here now but the service and selection were awesome. They had everything I was looking for in one place and the delivery was right on time. The instruction videos and pictures were very helpful. Highly recommend etrailer for all your trailering needs and more.

by:

Worked great to convert a poor quality trailer into a trailer that would actually carry and launch a sailboat. Lots of room for adjustments. Overall excellent quality.

by:

they came in a timely manner they appear to be well made but time will tell. They were a little narrower that the ones that came with the trailer but still fit the brackets good. Would order again and recommend to others

by:

These bunk boards are a perfect replacement of the originals. The marine carpet is of high quality as well. I’m very pleased with this purchase, and the shipping was extremely fast too.

by:

Ordered these as replacement bunk guide ons for my ezloader trailer.
Couldn't be more impressed with the quality of these.
Lisa D from online support helped me through the questions I had and input my order.
Very pleased with the bunks and etrailer online support.

by:

Installation fit a bit difficult but 1-year usage totally acceptable.

by:

Execellent service Super fast delivery. Bunk boards are exactly what I needed

  • Recommended Carpeted Bunk Boards For 13' Boston Whaler
As a general rule of thumb you want your bunk boards to be at least half the length of your boat to ensure proper support. Since you have a 13' Boston Whaler you would be able to use the 7' CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers # CE27845. The reason we do not currently offer 9' bunk boards is due to shipping and cost, but you could also go to your local hardware store and have them cut boards to 9', then install the Fulton Marine Grade Carpeting # FCR8012 to protect your boat...

  • Availability of Bunk Boards Greater Than 7' Long
While the 7' Long CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards # CE27845 are the longest we carry for shipping, we do offer the carpeting separate that you can use on locally sourced lumber. We have a roll that is 12' long and 11" wide in a variety of colors that will cover the 9' boards you need. • What Brackets Needed to Install Bunks on Boat Trailer
We sure do, I'd recommend the # HP52FR bunk bracket and u-bolts like # CE15283GA-2. We also offer pre-carpeted bunks in various lengths, as part # CE27800 for a 3 foot, # CE27810 for a 4 foot, # CE27820 for a 5 foot, # CE27840 for a 6 foot and # CE27845. Or, you can provide your own boards and carpet them using bunk carpet like # CE11349.

  • Pontoon Boat Length vs. Pontoon Trailer Length
It is recommended that a pontoon boat trailer be 3 to 4 feet longer than the pontoon boat it carries. So a 20-foot pontoon boat should be transported on a trailer with 23- to 24-foot bunk boards to avoid the pontoon tube hitting the back of the tow vehicle in a tight turn. We offer bunk-style guides in various sizes and these appear on the linked page. We also offer bunk boards in several lengths that come already wrapped in marine carpet, such as 6-foot pair # CE27840 and 7-foot pair...

  • Replacement Bunk Boards Longer Than 7 Feet Long
I have a solution for you, but unfortunately those 7ft long bunk boards # CE27845 are going to be the longest ones we currently offer. If you wanted to source the wood yourself you could then just use some marine grade carpeting like the CE Smith Deluxe Marine-Grade Carpeting for Bunk Boards - Black - 18' Long x 18" Wide # CE11349 and build your own-might be more cost effective as well since you'd save on shipping a rather large item. If you do go that route you'll want to avoid pressure...

  • Brackets and Bunks For my Magi BT 28
We do offer a carpeted bunks like the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers part # CE27845 in various lengths depending on how you want to configure it. It appears like you will need at least 4 across the back. Then once you get to the second section a shorter one on the outside than on the inside. If you will match up the bunks with the length of the roller assemblies they will have the appropriate capacity. The rollers at the front end of the trailer I would replace the rubber...

  • Determining Trailer Bunk Board Length for 14 Foot Sailboat
It's not an exact science but typically you want the bunk boards on a trailer to extend all the way to the rear of the boat. It wouldn't hurt to have them go a bit beyond this too to ensure proper support during travel. Since the front of the boat should be supported by the bow stop you usually see bunk boards that measure about half the length of the boat itself. Since you no longer have the boards that originally came on your trailer it might also be a good idea to try and contact the...

  • Replacement Options for 17' Long Bunk Boards for a 20' Pontoon Boat
It is recommended to have bunk boards at least 50% of the length of your boat. But since you currently have 17' bunk boards, we would recommend that you replace your boards with that same length. The longest complete bunk board that we have are the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards # CE27845 which are 7' long (this is 1 pair). So you would need to buy (2) of these and (1) of the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards # CE27800 (3') to get 17'. Or what I would recommend is to get some 10' 2x4's from...

  • Can Bunks on # CE27600 Bunk Style Boat Trailer Guide-Ons be Lengthened?
You certainly can, I've done that myself. If you decide you don't want to mess with the lumber and/or the carpet, we sell 6 foot carpeted bunk boards as part # CE27840 or a 7 footer as part # CS27845. Or, if you want to use your own wood, a roll of # FCR8012 carpet will do 2 6 foot long bunks.

  • Do You Carry 8 Foot 2x6 Bunk Boards?
No, I am sorry Dan but we do not carry that large of bunk boards. The biggest ones we have are the 7' CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards item # CE27845 but they are 2x4s. The only solution I have is to use the CE Smith Deluxe Marine-Grade Carpeting for Bunk Boards item # CE11349 and then you would need to purchase a couple of pressure treated 2x6's at your local hardware store and make your own. The carpet can be attached using heavy duty stainless staples and outdoor carpet adhesive.

  • Parts Needed to Convert a Boat Trailer to Bunk Boards
It sounds like you are wanting to convert a boat trailer to bunk boards. There is not a kit for this because each trailer/boat varies. To do the conversion you will need the bunk boards, brackets and u-bolts. It is recommended to have bunk boards that are at least 50% of the length of your boat. You can have longer boards if you would like, but you want at minimum 50% of the length. I have included the length of bunk boards that we carry below. You can piece the lengths together as needed...

By "roller boat trailer" I believe you are saying you have roller bunks and by "bunk trailer" I think you're saying you want to go from those to bunk boards. If so, you can do that by just getting the correct length bunk boards for your needs and the brackets to attach them. You can just measure the roller bunks you have and get the same length of bunk boards: - 7 Feet: CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers # CE27845 - 6 Feet: CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers...

  • Are the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards Treated
The CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards like part # CE27845 are not treated. The marine grade carpet will do a great job of keeping out water so treatment is not needed. That said, if you would like to purchase your own treated lumber and wrap them yourself we do offer the carpet separately like the CE Smith Deluxe Marine-Grade Carpeting part # CE11349. I have attached our full selection of carpet and bunk boards below.

  • Picking Out What Length of Bunk Board for Boat Trailer
You'd want to go with the length that matches the length of the hull that can make contact with bunks. I wouldn't recommend going on the shorter side as that means more weight is concentrated on a smaller section of the bunk. I don't have a way to know what would be the correct size. The longest bunk board we have is 7 foot with the part # CE27845.
