Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

The product seems very sturdy and I hope it works better than the last one I tried. My boat did not like the harder nylon. It didn't roll when there was weight on it. See pictures.

I was looking for an easier way to load/unload my rather heavy fishing kayak and thought about the roller system found on boat trailers. I've bought from etrailer in the past so I went to their website and found just what I was looking for. I placed my hassle free order, which promptly arrived. I was impressed with how heavy duty this thing really was. I mounted it on my truck bed extender and it works great. I ordered the 12" roller because my kayak has two openings on the bottom for the transducer and a bigger one to accommodate the pedal drive system, which always got hung up on the bed extender.

Wanted to make an end loading kayak rack that wouldn't make me drag the boat's bottom across it. These rollers make it very easy to load the kayaks on it. Exactly what I needed.

After buying the correct u-bolts, we fastened the roller bracket to the trailer cross member. The roller seemed a bit too far ahead for correct boat weight distribution, but it was easy to move the roller back on the cross member, thanks to the slotted bolt holes in the bracket. The roller works great now.

The 12” roller replaced a 4” roller. To accommodate height restrictions the roller was fastened with plate horizontal. It has worked great since then and being able to hit front roller has made loading boat a breeze.

Just installed them. The first ones lasted on our bulkhead steps down to Puget Sound for about 17 years, then rusted and froze. Hope these last just as long!

I am very happy with Etrailer. This is my 3rd order in the past 4 years and all parts have to do with a early 70s shoreline boat trailer which carries a 1975 Seacraft Safari. The personnel are very helpful and shipping excellent. Very pleased with the tires and wheels I got in 2011. Worked as intended after some maintenance and modification. The retaining caps on each end of the shaft are not secure. The shaft will come loose and you will lose the roller on the freeway somewhere if you don't take care to fasten them correctly. Two of the four assemblies I had came apart. Fortunately no damage to my boat but I feel sorry for whoever encountered the rollers behind me.

Came on time, good rugged roller. I mounted them to the side of my dock so I could roll my hobie kayaks up on the dock. They work great for that. My only issue was on of the end caps on on roller had come off during the shipping, there for the assembly came apart. I reassembled it and hammered the end cap back on. If it stays together I'll be happy, if not I'll have to come up with a fix for that one.

The 12” keel roller replaced a 4” one. This was a super change. It has made loading my boat much easier and the 12” roller has worked great for 1 and a half years and was easy to install.
