  • Does 4-Way to 6-Way Adapter A10-6034VP Carry 12 Volt Charge Circuit
The 4 way to 6 way part # A10-6034VP does carry the 12 volt power circuit you'd need to charge a battery. The center pin of the 6-way is the 12 volt circuit and would be carried on the black wire on the other end of the adapter.

  • How Does Non-Wishbone Style Trailer Connector Wire to Trailer that Had Wishbone 4-Way
You'll need to take off of the white wires on your trailer wiring and run it to the single white wire of the new 4-way as well as all of the brown wires to brown wire of the new 4-way. That would be the proper way to run wishbone style circuits of a trailer to a non-wishbone style connector.

  • Replacing a 5-Way Trailer Connector that Has 10 Wires Ran to It
There is a very easy solution for you! It does not have 10 wires but is exactly what we use anytime we change these out. The Hopkins 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector w/ LED Test Lights part # HM47913 can be spliced directly to your current wiring color for color. Basically use the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector part # DW05745-5 and splice the two white wires to the single white on the plug. Do this for the 4 remaining colors and you are set. Use a heat gun or other heat source to shrink down...

  • Determining Function of Truck Trailer Wiring Circuit that is Brown with White Stripe
Brown with white stripe could be either a ground for the running light circuit or possible the taillight circuit for the left hand side of the trailer. You'd want to test with a circuit tester liker part # PTW2993 to verify if and when the circuit has voltage and go from there. If it has voltage when running lights are on then yes it would need to run to yellow wire with brown stripe.

  • Mounting Bracket for Tow Ready 4-Way to 6-Way Trailer Connector Adapter, 1998 Lincoln Continental
There can be some bracket/connector compatibility issues if the two components are of different manufacturers. Some sockets will not physically fit inside of some brackets. For the Mighty Cord adapter # A10-6034VP you would use bracket # RM-910030-5, but you would not attach it directly to the trailer hitch. What you would do is use short bracket # 18140 or long bracket # C57202, attach it to the hitch and then attach bracket 118137. Drilling into the hitch will void its warranty and can...

  • How To Hook Up Trailer with Two Brown Wires to Vehicle with One Brown Wire
There should be five wires on your trailer side connector, a white wire which is for a ground, the yellow/brown and green/brown are for the running lights, a green wire for the right turn/stop light, and a yellow wire for the left turn/stop light because you have a wishbone wiring harness like part # A35W42B. • How to Connect a 4-Way Vehicle Connection to 5-Way Trailer Connection
It sounds like you have a 4-way connection on your vehicle and a 5-way connection on your trailer. You can plug the 4-way into the 5-way and the lights on your trailer will work as intended. The additional connection point on a 5-way is for the reverse lockout. If you do not need this you can cover it/cap it off, it does not have to be used. Alternatively you could add a 5-way adapter like the Curt # C57187 if you need the reverse lockout function. As far as the turn signal and brakes...

  • Wiring A 2008 Toyota Highlander for Towing a 1996 Flagstaff Cobra Camper with 6-Way Square Connector
Jayco uses a different wiring code than most, so in all likelihood, it will not work. I would just cut off the 6-Way square, tape off the brake and battery wires, and connect the 4 wires to a new 4-Way flat connector like part # 9653P. A better solution may be to install a more common 6-Way Round trailer connector on the vehicle and trailer. You could use the Pollak 6-Pole, Round Pin, Trailer Wiring Connector, item # PK11604, on the trailer end and a 4 Pole to 6 Pole Adapter, item # A10-6034VP....

  • Trailer Clearance Lights Stopped Working After Replacing One Clearance Light
This sounds like a ground issue or possibly faulty wiring. Trailer light grounds and wiring are much more exposed to the elements and trailer suspension is not as good as on a vehicle to it is more susceptible to problems like this. The main connector grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. The light grounds should also be attached to clean and...

  • What are the Trailer Wiring Color Codes for Standard 4-way Wiring
Sounds like your trailer is using a wishbone style of 4-way connection that is running all of their ground (white wires), and running lights (brown wires), back to the 4-way connector. You could use a standard 4-way still but you would need to splice all of the ground and running lights together to wire them to something like the part # HM48110.

  • How to Connect a Jeep with 4-Way Flat Connector and a Winnebago with a 6-Way Round Connector
If your Jeep has a 4-Way Round and your Winnebago has a 6-Way Round then you simply need an adapter like the Mighty Cord # A10-6034VP. This comes with loose wires for a ground, 12V Power, and a Brake Controller which you may need for your trailer. Cut off your 4-Way Round and the 4-Way flat on this adapter and then splice the wires together function for function. This will pass along your basic lighting functions so if your trailer is equipped with brakes or need 12V Power then you will...

For a trailer that has a 6-Way and a vehicle that has a 4-Way flat you will need a different kind of adapter. Double check the pins on the trailer side. If the connector does have 6 round pins then for an adapter you will need # A10-6034VP. Your 4-Way will plug into the 4-Way on the adapter and the white wire will need to be attached to the vehicle frame. This will provide lighting functions. If you also want the brakes and 12 volt circuit to work then I recommend # ETBC6 which is the...

The white wire needs to be grounded to the vehicle frame, and once the 4-pole on the adapter is plugged into the 4-pole on the vehicle. • Wire Colors for a Jet Ski Trailer
It sounds like you are trying to determine which wire has winch function on your trailer. If that is the case then the color is more or less irreverent as the trailer manufacturer could have used any color they want for the respective signals. Therefore, the only true way to determine function is to apply 12 volt power to each wire and see which light it illuminates. I will however say that the white wire is usually a ground and the brown wire is usually for the running lights.

  • After Replacing Trailer Side 4-Way Wishbone Harness with Non-Wishbone, Running Lights Dont Work
The issue is likely in how the 2 brown wires are connected and then connected to the single brown from the new 4-Way. You could use the Quick Fix, # HMC20031, twist the two running light wires together and then put the newly combined wire in place. Or you could go ahead and swap the 4-Way for a wishbone, # A20WB. • Why Would Trailer Wiring 4-Way Have 5 Wires Ran to It
Typically a 5th wire ran to a 4-way harness is either a wishboned running light circuit where each side of the trailer's running lights are ran to either wire or it's a case where there is two ground wires. Since you said none of the circuits are working that to me says it's a ground circuit that needs to be ran to the same circuit as the white wire. But you can test this by jumping a 12 volt circuit to the red wire and see what happens. If there's a spark as they touch it's ground. If...
