Determining Function of Truck Trailer Wiring Circuit that is Brown with White Stripe

Does brown with white stripe from truck go to yellow with brown stripe

Brown with white stripe could be either a ground for the running light circuit or possible the taillight circuit for the left hand side of the trailer. You'd want to test with a circuit tester liker part # PTW2993 to verify if and when the circuit has voltage and go from there. If it has voltage when running lights are on then yes it would need to run to yellow wire with brown stripe.
