Hello everybody. This is Jeff at eTrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt eight foot long tow bar seven way RV to six way round coiled extension cord with the six way round socket. Now this part is ideal for connecting your motor home to your tow vehicle for flat towing. It includes this six way round socket. That's designed to wire into the front of your towed vehicle.
And when you plug it in it'll provide operation of the tail lights, the brake lights, turn signals, electric brakes, and auxiliary power on your towed vehicle. The adaptor cord itself connects this seven-way blade style connector on your RV to the six way round connector that's mounted on your towed vehicle. So basically once this is installed on the front of your tow vehicle, you just open it up, take this end of the cord, line the slot up there. Push it in. And once you push it in all the way, it'll lock into place.
You can see on the lid right up here has a little hook on it and that'll hold it in there. Keep it from coming out. And then when you're ready to move it, just open in the lid and pull it out just like that. Now this coil cord does stretch up to about eight feet in length and what's nice, you can see it is coiled, so it prevents the wires from dragging on the ground. And this core does contain six 14-gauge size wires.
It is a nice durable, molded plastic construction right here on the end, it helps resist corrosion. And you can see it is a nice bright blue color for easy visibility. Turns out unit was full of water.
Connections to the recepticle were well marked and easy to use. The water seal seamed better than the old, time will tell.
I used this to connect my motorhome to my towed vehicle and it worked out great! Definatly liked that it was a heavy duty cord with strong connectors!
I’m only giving this 2 stars because the package had been opened before and was taped together. Everything was there but maybe this was a returned item. Otherwise it looks brand new and I will try it to make sure it works

Awe man, I am sorry that it was roughly packaged. I can assure you that we do not resell returned items. I know our demo team will pull some of our products to get some videos and pictures for our site. They are supposed to put them back in the same condition that they have pulled them; however, sometimes that is not always the case.

This cord has prove to be durable and does exactly what it is supposed to do, provide power to our towed vehicle.
Solid and reliable cord. Mounting the connectors was straight forward and not difficult.

Nice coiled cord. It is replacing one that the insulation was breaking as it was quite old. Very easy to use and I like that the one end is the 7 pin plug as my old one was the smaller round 6 pin and I had to use an adapter.
